How do we interpret the relastionship between houses that have the same significator.

Suppose the chart has a Libra ASC (Venus will signify the querent) and the cusp of the 8th house is in Taurus (also signified by Venus). What if the querent is asking about an 8th house matter? How do we interpret the two main significators when they are the same planet?

As both those houses have the same ruler, the two houses are LINKED in their interpretation. In your example, you may consider that the questioner (represented by the 1st house) is very comfortable with the 8th house matters (such as a bank loan), he actually controls that area (8th house) just as he controls himself (1st house).
Usually that is a good sign.
If you really need to use different significators, use the Moon. But it all depends to the situation.
