Guys, I know it isn't quite here yet. but I thought it would be interesting to keep an astro log of events that take place in our lives, or any trying & strange occurances happen during this period.
I don't know about anyone else but I have had the most awful headache all day! Nearly had a row with other women in my family
and the traffic is terrible! the noise, the noise!!!
do we know how this could affect animal/ Pets?
maybe you are also feeling the tugg:38:

I know that my Aries stellium is certainly not looking forward to the upcoming Mars Retrograde period, but--knock on wood--I have not yet experienced any of the effects you have described.
It is difficult to tease the astrological influence from the stressful effects of "crunch time" during the semester, but I reached my wit's end the other day after preparing thoroughly for an exam and having my professor include absolutely nothing of importance on it, as well as several things she had not covered. I should mention that my natal Mars is in Gemini, so my Aries stellium finds expression mostly in academic pursuits; I work extremely hard at school and expect results, and when I don't get them, I get angry--mostly at myself (afflicted first house stellium) but sometimes at others, particularly those in authority (afflicted tenth house stellium).
So after rechecking my uncertain answers and taking more than a few frustrating stabs in the dark, my professor thought it would be wise to show me the grade I received on the speech I had given a few weeks ago. Most people would consider an 89 a grade to be proud of, but I had spent more hours than I could possibly keep track of researching for this speech, and I e-mailed and consulted with my professor numerous times to ensure that my outline was "on the right track." Apparently, she saw fit not to inform me of certain things until after my speech had been given and the grade recorded in her book, and I was staring at this grade now, mere moments before I was to hand in what I felt was an exam that would receive a failing grade despite my best efforts.
My outburst could have been much, much worse, but fortunately, I kept my mouth shut and did not shout or even mutter the series of expletives that were surely flowing in my mind. I did make a bit of a dramatic exit, though, pushing in my chair roughly and practically storming out of the room. No, before you ask, I didn't slam the door.
I was a bit shocked at myself afterwards when I had sufficiently recovered because I do not usually indulge in such antics.
So let this serve as a warning to the community that they may wish to avoid me during this Mars retrograde period! :D
EDIT: Just because I seem to have a tendency towards procrastination today, I will post a link to a site I found during a quick Google search for Mars Retrograde: Mars Retrograde 2007 (http://www.astrologycom.com/marsret.html):
According to the chart on this page, Mars will retrograde station at 12 Cancer 27 on November 15, 2007, direct station at 24 Gemini 05 on January 30, 2008, and return to the exact degree it had occupied before the retrograde movement (12 Cancer 27) on April 4, 2008. I am actually quite pleased by this, because Mars will be out of its "shadow period" for my solar return the next day.
I might add that indigestion from eating foods that are too spicy is a common problem, as Cancer rules the stomach and Mars rules all hot things, not just fires! While Mars is retrograde, everyone should be sure to drink adequate amounts of water (6-8 glasses daily) and a glass prior to mealtime. This will offset acid indigestion and reduce the tendency to overeat. Potassium iodide drops taken periodically will fight the liability to stomach infection from eating infected meats, chicken, eggs, etc. Mars rules acute and inflammatory infections, too.
This is probably going to be the most difficult thing for me during this period because I love spicy food. Who wants to join me in my flagrant disregard of astrological advice? :p

General Astrological Outlook for the Week Ahead . . .
Key Issues this Week: STRESS, RETREAT, SELF-CONTROL, OBSERVATIONS, DISTRACTIONS, ACCIDENTS and ENCOUNTERS
Buckle your seatbelts folks - it's going to be a bumpy week! With Mercury trying to acclimate to its recent arrival in Scorpio and Venus setting up housekeeping in Libra, we're all feeling the need to make some big adjustments of heart and mind. All we need now is for Mars to go retrograde on us, which it will do on Thursday. Most likely, we've already begun to feel this impending shift, so the actual event may not be too dramatic. Mars is the planet of movement, so a reverse in direction can only mean one thing: lots of change. Since it shifts direction in the sign of Cancer, we can assume that the issues we'll be dealing with will involve emotions, family, comfort and security. Mars only retrogrades once every two years, and when it does, it takes its own sweet time; since it back-peddles for two months, it will turn around again on January 30, 2008. Monday's Sagittarius Moon will make us extra determined, but other people will tend to get underfoot and trip us up, which will test our patience and stress us out. When the Moon moves into Capricorn on Tuesday, we should reach for an objective perspective by simply observing instead of acting. There will be plenty to keep us busy through Wednesday and shortened deadlines or overtime could make tempers flare. Speaking with passion may be the only way to get our point across now, however, so if we're feeling intense, we can put that energy to good use as long as we're careful not to say or do anything we may regret later. Mars will come to a standstill before it reverses direction on Thursday, and with the Moon shifting from Capricorn to Aquarius, distractions will abound. Even if we take the day off and make no plans, we'll feel like our thoughts and feelings are racing all over our inner map. A hallmark of Mars retrograde is a sudden change in direction, and with the Aquarius Moon encouraging the same, accidents may happen. In particular, we should watch our emotions now, for inattention lead to a misstep or confrontation. Let's not forget the Sun is still in Scorpio, so we should encounter the very people we need to reconnect with on Saturday, and in some karmic, surprising ways. It's best to keep Sunday free of all plans, for as the Moon moves into Pisces, we'll want to retreat from the world and nurture ourselves by just doing nothing for a change.

This site is spot on ***
Great daily Horoscopes.
Arian: that must have been tuff. However, you handled the situation in a dignified manner.
Good luck
Wow! Interesting. I had terrible heart burn last night.
Can anyone one tell me what cancer influences I have my chart?

This is the most noticeable planetary transit I've experienced. I woke up yesterday and just HAD to do something. I felt like I was on speed. I cleaned up the kitchen without a second thought - which is highly unusual. This transit has given me a ton of energy... I am a Cap with Libra rising - very cardinal. Also, my Mars is in the 4th house. I guess I was supposed to feel this more strongly? It's probably the best thing that could have happened. I have been in a serious slump and have been slacking off from freelance work. Now I am just mostly interested in being busy. I hope this *whatever* stays with me, even after the transit.
On the bad side, my aunt just went into the hospital the 2nd time since late late Sep/Early Oct for the same heart-related issue. My mom is also freaking out because I mentioned Pluto going into my 4th house next year, although it could just mean I'm moving (which is one of my major plans for that time). Should I be worried about my Aunt? Expect the unexpected?
Does anyone else have a serious boost from this transit? I also find myself less impatient with reading - skipping over things to get to the point, etc. Oh, and I can definitely feel my temper increased.

Interesting. Mars recently crossed my natal Venus, and things were working most excellent for me and my sweetie. It then crossed my 3rd house cusp in Cancer, and we hit the outs. It's now gone retro and will cross back over the 3rd house cusp, and will eventually back all the way over my Venus again. I am scheduled to move to be closer to my sweetie just as Mars retros over the 3rd house cusp. Months from now, forward moving Mars will move into a trine with my 7th house cusp just at the time our baby is due. Jupiter will be exactly sextile the 7th house cusp and Uranus will be exactly trine the 7th house cusp at that exact day the baby is due. My sweeties Moon is also exactly on my 7th house cusp. It's gonna be a very interesting Mars retro!

How Will Mars Retrograde in Cancer and Gemini in November, December 2007 and January 2008 Affect Everyone - Pt. 2
by Robert Wilkinson
Today we continue examining Mars retrograde and how it's manifesting in people's lives. I've noted that many are suffering more intensely lately due to a variety of very complex feelings coming up. It seems that there's more despair, more of a sense that things are slipping backwards with extreme personal feelings pervading the atmosphere.
The charge seems to be around needs not being taken care of. For some, it's disappointment that someone else isn't taking care of them. For others, it's a time to see how they need to shift their work habits to take better care of themselves or others.
It also seems that there is a lot of over-reacting to things, but also delayed actions that could help solve the problem that is creating the difficulty. Be alert to struggles coming up as a result of projecting old hassles onto present relationships, and take a new look at whatever aggravates you that you've been carrying from the past. Definitely show patience and willingness to care for what must be cared for, without getting hassled by the need for nurture, either to you or from you.
If there are resentments, hostility, or grudges present, remember it has its roots in the past. It might not have much to do with the person or situation you're confronting, but if it does, then it's an overdue account that must be dealt with. Try to be mature in your responses, and not react simply because your needs haven't been fulfilled as you want, or aggressive in demanding that someone take care of business that may not be theirs at all.
Mars in Cancer is "active defense." When retrograde, it may show as this energy turned inward, either against the self or in new habits of how we take care of what we REALLY care about. It could be a good time for re-feeling our defenses, and seeing whether our energies are serving our need for security.
It can show us how we've acted defensively in the past and do a turnaround, or show us why we needed to take care of ourselves and others due to old aggressive situations and people "returning to the scene of the crime." It could also show as old needs that were denied in childhood forming the basis of defensiveness or prickly feelings in the present.
We were given signals about how this would manifest, and what issues would be on the table, back in June 2007 when Mercury went retrograde in this span. To see how this influence works, please take a new look at How Astrology Works - Mercury Retrograde in Cancer Heralding Mars Retrograde 2007-2008. Part 3 of this series we'll examine the specifics of this span of the zodiac to know more about the qualities around the period coming. It will be a very strong period, with reviewing and renewing of decisions, undoing some things that haven't developed as they should have up to now, and perhaps eventually rethinking what we want to exteriorize and how we choose to do so.

Talk about phone lines: one of my closest online friends has been disconnected from the Net for over a month. Do you realize we only had about 13 days break between Mercury Rx and Mars Rx? My poor friend seems to have gotten a double dose of retro-nastiness. ;)

Found another interesting connection. The very day my sweetie and I hit a rough spot, Mars was exactly conjunct the 3rd house cusp, and retrograde Mercury was exactly conjunct my Vertex, and Mars was exactly trine our composite Node right on the composite MC. Mars went retro just a couple degrees later, and crosses back over the 3rd house cusp on the day I'm due to move down to her town. When Mars returns to the same degree as it went retrograde, that will be the exact day the baby is due, along with the Jupiter sextile and Uranus trine the 7th house cusp the exact same day (and her Moon is conjunct my 7th house cusp). Mercury also went retrogade right when it was trine that same 3rd house cusp that Mars is now hitting, and was square our composite Mercury. Could any of it have been timed more precisely?
