Hi EveryOne! :!: I'm new here, thought I'd check out this new forum!
I've been studying Astrology for a couple of years, mainly from the teachings of Linda Goodman.
Anywho, I wanted to talk about Saturn.

As we know, Saturn moves into Leo on July 16. Saturn will eventually conjunct my natal sun, and also, this will be my 3rd saturn seven year cycle!
By October Saturn will be squaring its natal self.
That will be the beginning of my new cycle.
Big changes, and big tests!

I know I will feel the Saturn/Sun conjunction more.
A karmic period coming up, how about all of you?

Please shed some light on old 'father time' if you get the chance, I need to know as much as possible.

Thanks
SunChild

Welcome Sunchild! I personally have been counting the SECONDS until July 16th, I am so over all this Saturn in Cancer squaring my what was supposed to be a great Jupiter thing going on in Libra for me, I'm a double Libra Sun/Moon, and I kept thinking this is cool, but then Mr. "Learn Your Lessons", standing over me with a ruler and taking all my things, squares it up and I cannot wait until he moves out into Leo, then I hope things get tremendously better for me. Transiting Saturn just crossed natal Jupiter and about to hit natal Uranus in my 7th house of partnership. Oh, that explains a lot, so he just took away my home, I am moving soon, and my husband, we are separating, and it would seem to me that when he hits Uranus, oh, I don't even want to be around, I hate surprises and who knows what surprise Saturn will bring about when it crosses natal Uranus, oh no, oh no. We'll just have to see I guess, can't stop the universe!

Re Linda Goodman, good Lord, that's where I started reading and learning in the late 1960's, she is fabulous, what an Aries! The sun sign book and do you have the love sign book, it really blows people away. A lot of "serious" astrologers would call it "cookbook astrology", but I don't think there's any better way to start out, really. I got the love signs book in 1992 and it's worn thin and I still refer to it to this day. You are the first person I've heard talk about her. I wonder if she ever found her daughter?

Anyway, back to Saturn, so, it just passed over my natal Jupiter and moving on and moving out! Huge changes in my life, I'm basically starting over at 50. This transiting Saturn squares my natal Saturn. It's been a horrible, horrible several months, since last Fall, and I pray each day for it to change.

At any rate, please advise your Saturn transits right now, what house, is it touching anything natal, I need more info. Thanks and welcome again, baker

Thanks for the welcome, Baker!

I'm secretely counting the seconds too. Oh that's sad you're separating. :(
But the Universe will unfold as it should, and I'm going through a simliar thing, but it's uncertain really. I'm having relationship troubles, and I'm not sure if the One i'm with, is really the One, you know?
But he was meant to be in my life for a reason, I just don't know what the future will bring.

Yes Linda Goodman is my favourite Astrologer, and guide.
Linda passed away in October, 1995.
She never actually found her daughter.
As you may not know, it was alleged that Sally committed suicide, but Linda refused to believe that, and Linda held the faith that Sally was alive.
Apparently, when they found sally's body, a scar was missing which made Linda very suspicious.
But Linda knew without a doubt because it was written in Sally's chart that she was alive.
If you ever get the time, you should read Star Signs, or Gooberz. (They are my favourite Linda books!)

Well, my Saturn will be entering a conjunction with my natal sun in the 2nd House.
And will be squaring natal Saturn in the 4th House.
Thanks for your help!

Please forgive me for I am not a student of astrology, but it seems to apply to me in Big way. The last 2 years have been very difficult in many ways. (Lots of hard work, stress, family, lack of balance, etc..) I'm a cancer and I know Saturn has been moving through my sign during that time. As I understand it Saturn will soon move into Leo (The house of earnd income ?). Can anyone tell me what that means, because I've had about as much of Saturn as I can take at this point. I'm specifically concerned with business, money and savings at this point and this Saturn/Leo thing does not sound good. I was born in Atlanta, GA on 06/27/1969 at 12:30 AM. I hope it's not inappropriate to ask for someone to read my chart, but I can't seem to find anyone reliable in my area. For what it's worth Intuition and common sense tell me that my financial situation should dramatically improve in the immiediate future. Anyway, any help would most certainly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I'm not competent to analyze anyone's chart (I'm pretty unsophisticated astrologically), but I have a [few, choice!!] comments on Saturn's sojourn in Cancer and a question regarding its transit. I'm a Cancer with Cancer rising, born July 21st. I, too, have been waiting for July 16th with bated breath. But lately I've been reading about how Cancers by now should already be feeling lighter and more confident, and this just ain't happenin' here!! The last 2 years have been the worst of my life, with separation and divorce, a disastrous love affair leading to a suicide attempt and hospitalization. Then, last summer, everything seemed to be getting better; I was progressing spiritually, and thought I was moving in the right direction. I know I've undergone profound and positive changes. I became closer to a man I've had such a strong gut feeling was for me. Then this April -- WHAM!! These last months have been the hardest since leaving the hospital in March 2004. He has fallen madly in love with another woman and I lost two jobs, and my world is turned on its head again. The worst thing is that all this has made me question my entire belief system and made the "progress" I'd thought I'd made look like a cruel cosmic joke. This is like slogging through quicksand trying to climb out of Hell. I know it can't JUST be Saturn, but I've been so hoping when Saturn moved into Leo this torture would end. Since I was born so late in Cancer, will I get relief around mid-July, or will I have to wait? This is probably a fairly simple question, but I'd appreciate any opinions on it.

Thanks! :!:

I can't wait for Saturn to moves into LEO! I'm not a cancer but I'm having my Saturn Return this year with a very harsh aspect in my natal chart. Saturn is in my 8th in conjunct my natal Saturn and Mars. And not only that, my natal Saturn squares my natal Venus, Jupiter and Sun in my 5th and Oppose my natal uranus in my 11th house. Imagine, in this Saturn Return, it's double, triple the impact of my 5th, 8th and 11th house. Jupiter is my ruler and with it retrogrades durinng the first half of this year and the Saturn transit and Saturn return effects in these three years ... go figure! Lost my job, unemployed, difficulties in finding employment, in debts, a troublesome relationship andwe separated with a huge arguement during the April eclipse. Now, Venus, Saturn and Mercury is sitting beside my Natal Saturn, with all those squares with my 5th house planets, and the surprise uranus, I can't help to ponder what's going to come next in mid July. I'm really glad now is the peak of my Saturn Return and when it finally moves to Leo, I can feel a slight relief, when it finally moves away from my 8th end of this year. Can I be awarded a throphy for surviving these terrible years? lol!

Hooray! Let's have a party in mid July!

To SG, I'm sorry things have been so hard; I can relate completely. I'm not as knowledgable as you about all the aspects, etc. in my natal chart, although I do have it, but after hearing yours, and after having lived through (and still living through) a terrible time, I'm kind of glad I don't! They say Saturn gives more than he takes; I'm really trying to hold on to that and see it. One wierd thing--yesterday, July 1st, I received a call out of the blue offering me a job I had interviewed for in January of 2004, but which had gone to someone else! I'm very hesitantly hopeful (knock on wood) that this may be a sign of Saturn's getting ready to leave. Now if only my love life got even the tiniest boost, I might really believe it! :)Hang in there!

I, too, am new to this site. A long time ago, I studied astrology for 2 years, and so I have a rudimentary knowledge of some things, no knowledge of many things, and some knowledge about very little.

Saturn has been in my 12th house, conjuncted my moon in Cancer and squared a bunch of my Libra planets (Mars, Mercury, Neptune) in my 4th house. Here's what is wierd. I found myself dealing with similar issues that I dealt with back in 1979 - volitility with my first husband (whom I divorced) and now with my child, whom I have an order of protection against him being in my house (he's 20 and has several issues including mental health and drug abuse). I felt really bad, but he can't live here any more....libra in my 4th necessitates balance and harmony.

 Now, around the same time (1979), I started a job that was one of most remarkable experiences for me. Just recently, I have been asked to interview for a new position (I haven't been too successful in getting a job as an administrator for school because I am too "verbal"). I had almost given up, but decided to throw in my resume....would it not be fantastic if I get this position?

 You all are frightening me, because as Saturn goes into Leo, it will conjunct my Uranus, which sits just on top of my first house. The ruler of Uranus is Aquarius, which is in both my 7th and 8th houses - (where I might add I am having troubles with my hubby of 22 years - because of our son). Capricorn, Saturn's ruler is in my 6th house. But, as I approach 50, transiting Leo will square my sun, saturn, venus AND conjunct my Jupiter/Pluto --- activating my strongest aspect in my chart, at later degrees (I have no oppositions).

If memory serves me correctly, I met my husband close to my Saturn return, had children, increased my finances with a good job ---- I am hoping that this cycle repeats itself (not having kids - although I wonder if grandkids could be there? :?: ).

Anyway, I am glad I found this site, I like to continue learning and sharing about astrology with other kindred spirits...

Hey all!

I'm a newbie too and looking at the posts there is quite a few of us! LOL

I absolutely love astrology and I have been reading up on it for a few months learning what I can. I stumbled upon this site (whilst I was suppose to be working! hehe) so it's meant to be I say! Great to find like minded people. :D

This Saturn transit has got me well excited too! It is going to be in our 6th House for Pisces. Is there anybody with any knowledge about this. Any little morsel of info will do. I know Saturn is about lesson learning, but i'm not sure how Saturn moving into Leo means for us fish folk. I am already sweating it about the Mercury retrograde! The last one was a nightmare! LOL Evil it was! LOL!

Look forward to any replies!

Ciao :D

Wow, I'm new here and am learning stuff. I hadn't thought about the last time Saturn was in Leo........Geesh, I have learned so much since then. I had my 1st son in '79', met my husband (who I'm still with), but the past 6 or 7 yrs. have been tough on the marraige. I'm looking forward to Saturn leaving cancer even though it's moving to my 12th house.

I don't know much about what to expect.....but change will be good. We always say if I just knew then what I know now.....well you know the rest. I'm going to look at the challenge and lessons from this point of view. Life may not have been easy but I've been blessed and know I'll be again and more so with the wisdom I've gained over the past 26 yrs. It's definetly time to open a new chapter of life.

The best to all!!

Hello all: I've had a wonderful time reading the "Saturn in Leo" posts and I simply had to add my 2 cents into the discussion. I've been an avid student of astrology since 1985. My interest came from a personal tragedy I had at the time (an ugly divorce) I started with moon proressions and that got me involved in natal charts. I truly wanted to know what part I played in the demise of my marriage. (As we all want to know - lol)

By birth I am:

Virgo/Libra cusp
Libra rising
Leo Moon

Venus in Scorpio (a tough placement for anyone)

Someone above commented about wonderful abundant "Jupiter in Libra" and wondered, "where the heck is it" Hang in there Libras - it's on the way. Saturn (karma - I call it) has been at the top of my chart in my 10th and it has been some kind of horrific. I'm a Psyche major so astrology works well with it. We all have to learn Saturn's lessons and move on, no matter how hard they are.

I've been through almost losing my home, several jobs, a bad relationship, and it all started with September 11th. Life has not been the same since, but I have learned some huge lessons. I also have been a benefactor of Jupiter as during some of those lows, Jupiter has landed some cash windfalls into my life, but right now I'm hoping for a miracle and I have faith in the universe.

What we need to realize with Saturn in Leo (not just where it falls in our natal charts) is that all fifth house issues are prominent

Nice to meet you all!

Hi Zuko: According to my calculations, Saturn has been in your 5th house and will move to your sixth house after July 16th for an extended stay. Read the information at Astrology weekly for the Saturn transit to the sixth house and also the opposite house which would be the 12th. Hope that helps.

Your natal chart:

Sun in Cancer
Moon in Scorpio
Ascendant in Pisces
Neptune in the Ninth House
Venus in the Second House
Saturn in the Second House
Sun in the Fourth House
Moon in the Ninth House

Hi everyone
I came across this interesting piece of information that saturn moves into Leo on July 16th 2005. This interests me immensely though I have little knowledge of astrology myself. After reading it I talked to some Indian astrologer (thats the place I originally from before I moved to Canada). According to them Saturn does not move into Leo till 2007. But the websites seem so emphatic about the movement that i am not satisfied with their answer. I am curious because Leo happens to be my ascendant. My wife left me in may 2005 and I have been under severe depression here in a foreign land. I was interested if someone could help me about this change. Is there any chance of her coming back to me? and is there any chance of my economic and mental condition improving?
This is for anyone who can read birthcharts
my details are
Time 3.05 am
Date of birth 5th october 1976
place: Ludhiana (India)

my wife's details are
Time 3.35 am
Date 26th september 1977
place Ludhiana (India)

God bless you if anyone can advice me. I dont have money to go to an astrologer.

The Natal Saturn is a permanent fixture in your natal chart and is an important part of your personality. Transiting Saturn is different! It is the position of Saturn at the current time.

A relationship therapist may be in order for you and your wife. Asking the stars if you and your wife will reunite is not realistic. By studying these natal placements perhaps you can better gain insight into yourself and thus will be in a better/stronger position to address the question yourself.
You can look up all of these placements at astrology weekly for yourself.
A Saturn transit to the 1st hosue of self is always an "experience". I can tell you this much: You will come out of this a much better person, if you do the work that Saturn is forcing you to do. I'd also look at Saturn in the 7th as it is the opposite house of the 1st.

Good luck dear one. I know: Love hurts - but the lessons here are worthy.

hello rainbow and everyone,

A Saturn transit to the 1st hosue of self is always an "experience". I can tell you this much: You will come out of this a much better person, if you do the work that Saturn is forcing you to do.

i definitely concur with you on that one, rainbow. i'm a cancer-sun myself, and saturn has definitely made me face some tough challenges. i do feel like i've grown enough in the last 2 1/2 years for a lifetime! but alas, saturn lives on, just in a different personality and different houses for us all. but what is life and living without growth?

i am partying on saturday when saturn moves into leo and out of my solar 1st house, but i better not splurge too hard 'cause he's gonna be hanging out in my solar 2nd house for the next couple of years... yikes! i see a budget in my future

You said it well Moonchild.....IT'S REALLY ABOUT GROWING! It's amazed me over the years how so many FEAR a Saturn transit. There are positives involved when we take the time to pay attention to the lessons. I'll tell you more about that when time permits.

That second house transit should be quite revealing. Look at it this way: If you're bad with money, you won't be when the transit is over. Also, the second house of "values" can also provide growing pains as well. I think it's wonderful. While you're out partying for Saturn in Leo, make a toast for me as I rid my life of things that waste my energy and drain me, on my way to the vastness of the wonderful universe. It's been a long time coming (Saturn out of the 10th and into the 11th) I'm hopeful.

rainbow,

sooo, saturn has been hanging around your 10th house, huh? well, my gemini midheaven cusp is 26 degrees and cancer 11th house cusp is at 25 degrees. so saturn has also cruised through my tenth house during his cancer transit. only the last 5 degrees has been in my 11th house but i must say, in that short time, i've felt the strain in my 11th house and have actually weeded out some friendships that were really no longer or were never real friendships ... more to come in that house for me as saturn switches personalities this weekend.

That second house transit should be quite revealing. Look at it this way: If you're bad with money, you won't be when the transit is over. Also, the second house of "values" can also provide growing pains as well.

and boy am i terrible with money. jupiter is in my 2nd house and i do believe he's made me lazy in the money dept.! don't get me wrong, jupiter in my 2nd has definitely been a welcome influence. but after saturn gets done with me there, imagine how much wiser and improved my financial situation will be! it will be hard work; i know it... but i know it won't be as trying as saturn in cancer has been.

i will definitely have a toast for you!

namaste,
moon

Hi to moonchild and rainbow. I've been reading the discussion, and am interested in something that's happened to me recently. I have Cancer Sun (late, though, July 21, so I'm still feeling the crunch), Cancer ASC. The last 2 years have seen the dissolution of my marriage, horrible love affair, hospitalization for depression, and a complete change of my perspective on life and on myself, so, yes, it's seen cataclysmic, positive and painful change. ANYWAY, the interesting thing is that after 8 years of marriage and complete poverty--I had a house, savings and investments when I married, now i have nothing--I was last week offered a job out of the blue (I've been trying for MONTHS, and applying for lots of jobs, and couldn't even get an interview!) I had two children rapidly after marrying, and didn't work a lot. This job is a good one, with stability, good pay and chances for travel, and I'm thinking that this is a harbinger of Saturn moving into my second house. (I may be quite wrong. Would Saturn moving into your 2nd house bring positive financial news?) I'll have money to manage again; I'll be earning and working hard to rebuild my financial situation. I know Saturn brings hard knocks (boy, do I ever!), but I'm actually looking forward to having him in my 2nd house. Besides, nothing could be harder than having Saturn in your 1st house. To all the other Cancers out there, congratulations for surviving! Here's to July 16th!!! :D (although I guess being born on July 21st, I won't be out of the soup for a little longer)

hi jeanc,

amazing feats you've had to tackle! and you will have survived in a couple of days, emerging a stronger, more powerful, solidly built, improved version of you. a big congrats to that!! saturn's rewards are plentiful to those who rise up to meet his challenges, which you obviously have successfully done with great tenacity and resolve.

i agree about the 2nd house; there is a huge pat of me that welcomes him. i know it'll be tough but i REALLY need to be much better with my money.

it's great to hear that your quality life has begun to turn around already and with saturn moving into your 2nd house coupled with your new stable job, the best is yet to come!

Hi Jeaniac (Hope I spelled that right)

(I may be quite wrong. Would Saturn moving into your 2nd house bring positive financial news?)

First let me piggy back on something Moonchild said about Saturn: SATURN REWARDS US BEFORE HE LEAVES!

This was one of the first lessons I learned about Saturn. It's Saturn's way of saying, "Job well done" for learning the lessons.

Your 1st house lesson seems to have been fruitful and that's always good. All of the stuff you claim you lost was "Material" You have your soul and spirit and that's what it's all about. I practice "Spiritual Astrology" I choose not to look at Saturn as a planet of darkness. I look at it as the finger of God pointing me in the right direction to receive the abundance that comes with the opposite planet of Jupiter, (which btw is in my 1st house and causing my hips to spread...and a lot of laziness
But the lessons will bring me to the place I need to be. YIPPY!!!! :D

Astrology Weekly is the ultimate site for information. There also are several worthy sites on the net. Here's a great Second house Saturn transit definition which comes from Cafe Astrology:

I'm listing the link because I did use their name this post.

Here's to July 16th!!!

As a person who respects Astrology and the universe I couldn't hold this back any longer. This is more for new comers to astrology, as those of us who study constantly already are aware:

Astrology is an "influence" We as human spirits have choices or some of you call it "free-will" We always have a choice as to the direction we will take. While each of our Saturn, Jupiter or any number of personal transits may be rough, there is always a door that we choose to walk through. On July 16th there will be no miraculous event. All of your problems won't miraculaously disappear. Some have already begun to feel the effects. Astrology like psychology is not: exact!

What it means is that: We will all be under a new influence (another choice) Take some time to study the planets, and find out which each of them represents. Learn how they influence you (and life) and the choices you make with regard to the particular house they may be transiting for you. That's the absolute beauty of astrology. We always have the ability to make another choice. If it turns out to be the wrong choice....guess what? We can always choose again. Maybe if we stop concerning ourselves with the destination and start living more "in the moment" we could use these influences for our ultimate good.

I'm not waiting till the 16th, I'm partying right now because I know better days are coming, real soon. Be encouraged.

Hi. I have a question about Saturn leaving Cancer on July 16th. My significant other is a Cancer and he's been totally resistant the last 2 1/2 years that Saturn's been in his sign. I hear alot about Saturn leaving a reward after he leaves Cancer. I feel that he hasn't learned the lessons that Saturn wants us to learn - actually he's worse and more resistant than ever. So, what happens to people like him - people that didn't learn their lessons. Do they get their reward too? I thought that since he resisted, he will continue to receive lessons and go thru it again in his next Saturn return. I know astrology can be general sometimes and each person's situation is different. I was just curious what happens to him now. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

Hi All,

It was great reading all your replies. I had to re-register my username because my old one wasn't working for some reason.
Anyway I found some helpful info regarding this Saturn return in Leo.

8)

Saturn in Leo. July 17th 2005 - Sept. 3rd 2007

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So What Does This Mean About Each Of Us?

Good question. Lot's of things, but the keynote is creative self expression. Our western culture is by and large a rather superficial experience, where image and ego expression are viewed as valuable and therefore acceptable. But the point is that many people don't know who they really are in a true or real way, and struggle with authenticity, being a true individual and having a real relationship with joy, love, passion and all the best of what Leo has to offer us in the Zodiacal mix. So in the next 2 years your job is to find out who you really are beneath the makeup. To get beyond the small inner child that may still be seeking recognition and approval from the people around you, for validation of who you are so you can approve of yourself! Parents and children often struggle in conflict with the parent/child relationship, as the parent seeks to mould a child into their ‘creation', rather than nurture the true individual within their child. So you may need to “re-parent” yourself with positive self regard, and messages which give you freedom to explore your true potential “outside of the box”.

Leo's true purpose is to forge the “completely unimpeded self-expression whether this is an artistic field, an intellectual one, an emotional one, or the creation of a living child”
Often we need to explore what is contained in our “shadow”…our unexpressed and unlived self. This is the part of us we shy away from, as often it was made ‘bad or unacceptable' when we were children. So we are in fear of these unexpressed components of our potential, and unconsciously invite others to ‘play them out' for us. We then attempt to suppress these qualities we see in others, as we secretly envy them because they are denied in ourselves. As a result we experience the very rejection of love we fear, as they do not feed us back the recognition and love we seek.

This is a classic psychological pattern, which is inherent in the human ego driven experience. And we must all work this out if we are to become a “fully realised individual” able to express the joy, passion and intensity of loving connection to our society and fellow beings. So over the next few years this is your territory my friends, and hopefully you will be inspired to take up the challenge of becoming “real”! Once you are freed from the shackles of personal insecurity then you can find your spontaneity and excitement. These are the attributes of a true leader/motivator. As a result many of you will be ready to become leaders in your chosen fields, and to shine the light of consciousness beyond your personal ego (with a small e), as you are motivated to become involved with humanity in ways which will bring you true meaning and purpose, and the reward of personal satisfaction and regard. Good stuff!!

The sign of Leo is ruled by the Sun. Psychologically the Sun represents our “potential for consciousness”. The Oxford Dictionary offers us “to be conscious – with mental faculties awake, aware, and intentional”. The word “conscience” also arises here – “a person's sense of right and wrong”. So to be in our true solar essence we just have to be all of these things. Sounds easy! Saturn's process will force each of us to examine the ways we may fear the responsibility of becoming truly aware of our intentions!

The Effects of Saturn in Leo for Each Zodiac Sign for the next 2 years.

:!: ARIES
The territory for you guys is your natural 5 th house of creativity and leadership. Hence you may begin to be asked, or you ask yourself to take up greater authority and responsibility in your chosen field. Your ego urge will be strong to be taken seriously and to become more of an individual than you have been up until now. The associations also include ‘procreativity' i.e. your kids, and your own inner child, so expect to do some responsible miles with your treasures, who will need good boundaries at the same time as plenty of recognition and support over the next few years. If your own creative urges are not as powerful as you'd like, then you need to do some “re-parenting” to give yourself new positive messages which allow you to be risky in a healthy way, and to rekindle your love of fun and pleasure. This is also your ‘gambling and speculation' zone so if you do decide to indulge your luck make sure you know what you are doing, and take full responsibility for outcomes.

:!: TAURUS
The Leo sector for our bulls is the 4 th house of “home and family, roots and foundations”. I need hardly say more…but I will! So expect to do some major re-structuring in this area for the next few years, and this may include physically moving, renovating and so on, but more importantly the call is to really revise your attitudes to your emotional safety. This means admitting to your own needs and inviting others to be supportive and kind to them, at the same time as needing to be strong, reliable and supportive to family members who will be maturing and moving out into the world. “Leaving home” is the catch cry here and for some this may be literal, whilst for others it is an emotional maturity which is required. No more blaming others for your happiness or lack of it from here!

:!: GEMINI
The arena for your growth and development for the next 2 years is the 3 rd house of “mind and mouth”, so you are set to grow yourself up in the realm of learning, listening and applying yourself to knowledge and education based fields. For the past 2 years you have been goal focused around security, money and vales, so hopefully you are now ready to move onto more important matters. Like what do you really “know” and how do you use this as an integral ingredient in your life's journey. Many Gemini folks are big on talk and short on really hearing what others who are older or wiser have to teach them, so get ready to shut up and learn to listen to others. If you give up your tendency to scatter yourself in too many different areas, this next phase can offer you a depth which has previously been unavailable to you.

:!: CANCER
So dear crabs you are finally off the hook after the past few very testing years, and hopefully your sense of ‘self' is stronger as a result. So now on to the next phase as Saturn enters your “values, and resources” sector, opening the door for a deepening of your true worth and value, so this can be reflected in your wealth and worth on an external level. If you are insecure in money matters and don't believe you have the right to positive financial results, then you may find that this is a period when your resources are limited, as you restructure your inner belief systems which are indeed limiting them!! So there's the key my friends. This phase is also a time when we set up structures which become the building blocks of future outcomes, so don't buy into the “lack” philosophy here, but rather invest your time wisely in learning how to understand money as an energy exchange which is constantly in a state of reflecting our true “worth”.

:!: LEO
So roaring ones here comes Saturn! Are you ready to find out what you're made of? It has been 30 years since this “Lord of Character and Calling” has paid you a visit, so if you're just a youngster then get set for a couple of years of applying yourself to commitment, hard work and becoming a self responsible person. The result? The individual who you are meant to become! Saturn brings us tests and challenges so we can forge our true potential beyond the fears and limitations we believe are obstructing us. Yes this can sound hard, but without Saturn we would never grow up and become an adult, let alone honour and anchor our ambitions with the serious business of creating an outcome in our life. If you're a tad older then this is a re-structuring phase, when you can dis-assemble the dutiful aspects of your life up until now and reflect on what you wish to do with the rest of your life. Either way the call is to examine what makes you authentic as an individual. For some great success and achievement is the result of this phase! For all you are challenged to examine the nature of love, joy and excitement in your life, as you learn to open your heart and release your true passion.

:!: VIRGO
Your potential over these next few years is of an inner rather than an outer nature, as Saturn hangs out in your 12 th house of “solitude, isolation, spirituality and psychism”. Even if this doesn't sound very exciting right now, get set for some “adventures in consciousness” which will reshape your ideas about God-dess and your relationship to the divine inspiration which is the true source of all life. This is also the area concerned with past karma and actions which need resolving and releasing, before you can move into your next big cycle as Saturn enters your sign in late 2007. So forewarned is forearmed, and it is very important that you practice compassion to all participants in your life up until now, if they come to call in old debts of both physical and emotional origins. This can be a fantastic time to investigate all things including the word “psyche”, especially your own! Open to all things instinctive, clairvoyant, intuitive and creative at an artistic level, as Virgo often gets caught in the mental and the abstract realms and forgets that inspiration lives beyond the mind.

:!: LIBRA
So lovely Libra the big shifts due for you concern your 11 th house area of “groups, associations, community” and humanity in general. You've just spent the past few years anchoring your career goals and aspirations and I'm sure you're much more responsible in these areas than you were before! So get set for a new level emerging in your psyche which wants to get involved in useful contributions to your society and community. It's time to find a cause!! What gives you the most charge when you consider general unfairness or inequality? After all these are your primary concerns, so how about putting your money (or energy) where your mouth is? The world needs many concerned and committed folks to get involved in the huge array of worthwhile causes out there. People power is the only way to go in the years ahead, as we can't rely on governments to take care of the things which really matter. This is also the sector for you which governs “hopes and wishes” fulfilled, so if you want yours to really come to fruition then this cycle is when you must begin to create your future fulfillment. Superficial friends and associations will feel very shallow and fruitless in the next few years, so… go the ideals, and forgo the glamour!

:!: SCORPIO
Saturn now enters your 10 th house of career and ambitions fulfilled. So get ready for a couple of years of hard work, commitment and admitting that worldly outcomes are indeed the key to your inner sense of empowerment. For some this is a culmination phase where 14/15 years of gradual development are about to pay off. But even if you are in a reaping phase, the signal is that you must plant new seeds for your future, and the goals which have driven you up until now, may be changing in accord with your emerging social conscience. Your key essence for power involves the correct sharing and distribution of resources, power and money, so let this be your guide in the next few years. Old world values which promote greed and selfishness will not cut it in the years ahead. So be a pioneer and way-shower for the coming corporate revolution that will ensure investment returns will only come from “conscious investment”. You can really make your mark in the next few years, no matter how obscure your project or background, if you re-design your ideas about whether power is an inner or an outer experience.

:!: SAGITTARIUS
So dear Archers your area for reformation and future outcome seeding is in your 9 th house of “philosophies, ethics and morals”. This includes all manner of teaching, learning, writing and generally spreading the word. Perhaps you have always been the eternal student but never admitted that you actually do have a bit of knowledge to share. Well it's authority time, and those of you who have been working to develop their field of expertise will find that you are about to come into your own. The caution for Sagittarius as usual is not to start believing that you are some big shot, and that you owe it to the world to set up a pulpit! You will be challenged to review many of your own philosophies and views during this phase, and will probably be confronted with many different types of people from many cultures with their “strong moral positions”. The message is tolerance and acceptance, and with this position you can have great impact in a non threatening way. This is also the house of foreign people and travel, but the chances are that travel during this time will be for your work, or your teaching/learning. You need to be prepared to apply yourself to get results. Publishing also applies here, so write that book and approach publishers if this is your thing.

:!: CAPRICORN
Well you've just done a stint with Saturn testing the fabric of relationships for the past few years. So you're either freshly married and committed, or divorced and about to haggle over the outcomes. Either way the realm of “shared resources” of both an intimate and physical kind, is where this next cycle of Saturn is about to take you. And the keyword in both cases is power. This 8 th house zone also has associations with money, sex, life and death as it is not until we confront the mystery of all of these functions, that we are enabled to liberate ourselves from the unseen forces at work in our own unconscious mind. What do you fear? Loss of possessions, lack of intimacy, or simply not being in control of your own power? Well you're about to find out, and the best action here is no action. Don't confront those who may confront you. Simply learn to release and let go of anything which no longer serves you. You may need to admit to vulnerable feelings, or simply take your power back from someone you gave it to. The result will be a deeper relationship with yourself, the people in your life, and with your own inner resources.

:!: AQUARIUS
Well Water-carriers it's time to deal with that old issue you tend to shy away from! Yes you guessed it…relationships. Not known for your touchy feely bits, you may be surprised to find that over the next few years you are ready for closeness and commitment in ways that you have never been before. And to create this you will need to admit that the very support you have always believed is not yours to enjoy is actually available to you once you admit that this is something you both need and want. You've been working hard over the past few years to set up your daily life's work and have found that commitment is both useful and satisfying…yes? So now it's time to apply this same principle to all manner of sharing and relating possibilities. You are not an “island”. You need others and with them you can reach higher toward your future possibilities. So invite co-operation and join with others in ways that allow trust, nurture and support. The only problems you may encounter here will occur if you cling tenaciously to old beliefs that no-one is there for you and that the world is not ready for a kinder and more inclusive you!

:!: PISCES
OK dear fishy ones it's time to start working hard and enjoying it more. Saturn will spend the next few years in your sector of “daily work and service” so embracing your opposite sign of Virgo is what you need to do to get the best out of this next phase. So how do I do this? By becoming practical and useful my friends, and sending your inspirational impulses out into the world in useful organizational ways. So if you are the kind of fish who shies away from dealing with everyday matters…boy are you in for a shock! If you attempt to avoid this task then you will meet great resistance to other dreams you may have for avoiding reality. It will come and get you anyway, and this may take the form of health issues, if that is what your higher self needs to get you in touch with your body and all the things which a simple daily life requires you to take care of. At best this can be a cycle where you re-shape your life and your health into a more productive experience, and begin to enjoy the results of a new approach to being in the world!

Hi rainbowchild57,

Thanks very much for your reply concerning Saturn leaving a gift as he exits. I do have Astrology Weekly and Cafe Astrology bookmarked, and I'm starting to learn more about it, even though I've been interested in it for years. The last year and a half I've been trying to learn as much as possible about myself and learning more about astrology is part of that.

But secondly, I know that my reference to July 16th was kind of glib, I meant it rather as a celebration point, than expecting anything to change on that particular day (or even soon thereafter). I know that's not how it "works". I've read in different sites that for those born July 19-23 it will take a while longer anyway. BUT, I've been working really hard on myself for the last year and a half, and intend to continue working hard, and I guess I'm just hoping that the second half of this year will feel less like wading through quicksand, and my work will start to pay off, even in small ways. I hope. I don't expeect any miraculous events (although I believe miracles can happen! Just not in the ways we expect. :D

Hello again all, I must say - This is a WONDERFUL group and the more I log on and read, the more I feel this is a great supportive community. I'm delighted to be in such beautiful company.

Sun Child - YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY with several points. I would just like to add that the transits work with your Ascendant or rising sign. A quick lesson for newcomers: The sign on the rising natally (the 1st house) is a vital starting point in natal astrology. This is why it's imperative that you have a time of birth for a truly accurate chart. To further make this point let me say - I was born under a cusp of Virgo/Libra sun but my RISING sign is Libra - so therefore my Saturn transit (above) would not be the one for "Virgo" but for "Libra." If you are ...let's say - an Aries sun but have a Sagittarius rising. The interpretation for Aries may not correspond with your current situation, but when you read the interpretation for Sagittarius -everything makes more sense. Try it for yourself. it will make more sense.

The Sun is who you are nomatter what - the Rising or ascendant is the you - you show to the world. (Hope that makes sense)

Now about the Fifth house:

The Fifth House is ruled by the Sign Leo and the Sun.

The Fifth House is commonly referred to as the House of Pleasure. Oftentimes, pleasure is the result of a creative act. The simple act of creating is, essentially, giving of oneself and making something -- making another? Yes, the Fifth House does speak to procreation and children,
so if you don't want to get pregnant use caution over the next two years

But it also addresses the creation of art and culture. The creative life is one from which we can derive much personal pleasure and self-satisfaction. Do I like this? Does it make me feel good? Does it bring me pleasure? The answers are the domain of the Fifth House.

Taking this pleasure principle ( Remember the song a few years back by Janet Jackson?) ) a step further, one can give it a more human face, even two faces. Romance and romantic affairs, both emotional pleasures, are within the realm of the Fifth House.

Emotional satisfaction can be gained in many ways, and yet another way addressed by this House is gambling. While this implies a financial risk, it can also be viewed as the willingness to take a risk -- on love, with money, or in life. It's like taking a gut risk in the hopes of a pleasurable outcome is how the Fifth House sees it - and also gambling and its disastrous consequences. This House is actually quite rich with pleasures since it lords over fun, games, and hobbies. Life is more than just being or doing, it also includes finding -- finding the pleasure in the acts in which we engage. What will make you truly happy? What will you stop talking about and start doing FINALLY!!

Children as a source of pleasure are also important in the Fifth House. This brings us back to creativity, since through our children, we create an extension of ourselves and then watch it grow. Giving our children all the good we had (and have), and then some, is certainly a pleasurable pursuit. How will this manifest itself? What form of pleasure and emotional release is best for our children? Music, dance, theater, art, science, literature -- these fancies are for them, and for us. Play for the purpose of emotional enrichment and pure pleasure is what the Fifth House is all about.

We take all the lessons we've learned from Saturn in Cancer (home & family - HEAVY emotions) and more or less institute them in the 5th house. If you're one of the lucky ones who has Jupiter in Libra (like me) perhaps you will find your true soulmate soon, if you haven't done so already. It's possible now! If you've been hurt by love , you may now have the opportunity to learn that perhaps you need to love yourself more before you can truly love another. All in all it's about our creative intentions. Which brings me to suggest a great book, "The Power of Intention" by Wayne Dyer. Pick it up if you can and read it - IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

The possibilities are endless and I personally feel we all are being set up by the universe for major blessings. Embrace that and dare to Stand in your own Truth!

In Truth & Spirit

I knew exactly what you were talking about because my soul is celebrating and has been for a few days now. Let me offer this to you and to anyone faced with a crossroad life moment;

You are exactly where you need to be for God and the universe to do the work within you that needs to be done.

Greetings, All - I'm absolutely devouring every word in the this string because I've got a stellium in Leo and I'm terrified of what Saturn's got in mind for me. It's already conjuncting my natal Mars at 1:36 Leo - as well as transitting Mars, conjuncting my natal Saturn.

But, it's already starting to renovate my life for me, and it's been painfull - and it's only just begun. I'm in the process of a gut wrenching break up with someone who I though I was going to grow old with - my finances are a disaster, and I'm not happy with my unhealthy lifestyle of late.

Wondering if Saturn is going to help me get it together. Maybe this transit is exactly what I need right now. I'm just a little nervous about Saturn's heavy-handed methods of teaching lessons. It will hit, in this order, my Mars, Sun, Mercury, Venus before it moves on to pick on my Virgo stellium. I guess I better make it my freind because it's going to be "working on me" for the next 5 years!

Hi All, jeez, I take a few days off from it all (basking in the Saturn move, dontcha know) and look here, this joint is hopping! I LOVE IT!!!

So, hey to all those I haven't seen here before.

In particular, rainbowchild57, welcome, your posts are cool. Me, also, Venus in Scorp. Oh well. I understand.

So, Saturn, this movement finally got me out of a square to my transiting Jupiter in Libra, which I am keeping my fingers crossed for Mr. Zeus to take me away (don't worry, Radu, no more invocations, I've calmed down), BUT, it continues to run rampant through my 7th house, and will continue to for some time to come, so things continue to be horrible with my relationship.

Oh and where's natal Saturn, in Scorp, 9th house. Again, oh well.

All I can say is, it's a rough road to the stars. Everybody take care.

Hello everyone!

Wanted to say hello and address some of the anxiety I have read concerning Saturn moving into Leo.

I wrote an introduction in the natal chart topic of the forum, here is the link to my chart if anyone wants to look.

http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?rs=3&btyp=w2gw&&cid=or1filewvmrJb-u1079284496

As a seasoned veteran of Saturn and his many versatile ways of making the person review, rethink, and possibly react to tests and tasks that may be put in front of Leo's and others affected by Saturn's ...I can say that it was a very difficult time, only because it made me change many things and approaches in my life, which I thought was set in stone.

Every single obstacle, challenge, or change that occurred since 2001 in regards to vocation, intimate and family relationships, approaches to money, ego, approach to health and fitness, just every aspect of my life was affected in some way. I will tell you that my experience with Saturn is that where ever you are weakest as an individual, that Saturn will test it and show you it is a weakness and thus, needs either more discipline or to simply move on to something that may be harder but is worth your efforts in the long run.

I believe in this for certain, 'What happens to us is important, what matters more is what we chose to do or not do about it.'. Do nothing and nothing happens. You remain stagnant and everything races ahead of you. Do something positive and constructive and the possibilities could be limitless.

I wasnt even aware in 2001 that there was a Saturn planet affecting my chart, I just knew that everything that I had come to believe was set in stone, was suddenly turned upside down through no fault of my own. Or was it? See, life is full of choices. I believe with a few exceptions, that all of us have the answers within ourselves. Astrology gives us an edge so we can take a peek into what the future could possibly harbor, but the choices are still ours to make.

I was forced to make many changes that at the time, I viewed as upheaval. Now reviewing back over events, and where I am now, it was for the very best. I have come out of it a far more positive thinker, more discipline, developed more patience with myself, life, and others, healthier attitude towards relationships and money. I grew up.

I wish this on everyone who has to pass Saturn's tests. Upheaval and changes are scary things sometimes, but, try to focus on the end results of this period rather than being apprehensive. There is no price one can pay for wisdom and maturity and the confidence that arises from it. Who knows? You might actually be very pleasantly surprised at the end of it all!
