Hello folks,

I was casting charts for a horary question, but I got stuck in a problem: my country entered daylight saving time yesterday, and I was casting charts for today.

Solarfire gave me an ascendant in 17 degrees of taurus, while astrodient gave me 0 degrees of Gemini for the current daylight saving time (20:44). When I set astrodienst to an hour earlier, which would be a non-daylight saving time (19:44), it gives me the ascendant in 17 degrees of taurus, like Solarfire. When I tried to set the hour manually in astrodienst, it gave me a message saying that their website is fully aware of the daylight savings of each country, except for some places in Russia.

Despite this, I should conclude that Solarfire is right? Maybe it is already set for the daylight saving time?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rockfish! Always use the daylight saving time according to the place where you live. Her in Switzerland it will only change at the end of this month. So it is different everywhere. Use the day you asked the question and Solar Fire will give you automatically the right answer, as Astrodienst does. So if you are casting a chart for today and today you have DST at your location, than the chart will be cast accordingly. It does not matter whether it JUST turned to DST yesterday. We are talking about today here. Cheers, Starlink
