hello, does anyone by any chance have any experience with venus being in the 12th house within synastry? I've noticed a few times I have had this placement with somone I care very deeply about, but for some reason the feelings are never mutual. Does this mean that the love is just hidden, or doesn't really exsist at all and it's all in my imagination? Can someone help shed some light to what it means?

I notice that I have this placement with a friend who was interested in me, and I REALLY wasn't interested in him... However, it was my Venus in his h12th. Also with another friend who showed interest and I really just wanted to remain on a friend basis.
When a friend's venus was in my h12th, I noticed that I tried in vain to remain friends with this person (a girl), and they wanted nothing to do with me.
That is my experience, I hope it has helped you somewhat, although I don't know the effects of a mutual h12th venus in synastry... It could mean a secret relationship, or one which neither of you TRULY wanted.
:)

Thank you for your response, but what if you both have Venus in one another's 12th house(mutually)? How does that work out, since it is of similar degrees, there must be shared feelings of some sort...it couldn't one sided since we are recieving each other the same.

From this site: (http://tribes.tribe.net/12thhouse/thread/6cbe91ea-da8b-4741-ac0c-b7db1cab44a9)
12th House in Synastry
This is the area of life devoted to spirituality, imagination, confining institutions, and secret enemies, the hidden side of life; in synastry, the impact of one person's planets on another's 12th House indicates the manner in which they affect their spiritual experience and either promote or retard the other's own self-undoing. Last but not least, it can unveil subtle details of one's relationship to the Divine.
And of course since venus is conj. venus:
Venus-Venus: Positive aspects and conjunctions between Venus' show that the two people view love in a very similar way. Conjunct Venus' are often found in long term relationships. This is because the two individuals want the same type of love relationship--they give and receive love in the same manner. Tense aspects can be difficult to overcome.

Hope this helps and you can also find additional information in those sites, cafeastrology.com is a wonderful one!

Someone I love very deeply has his Venus and Sun and Jupiter and Mercury in my 12th house (actually, his Venus is tightly conjunct my ascendant and as I ignore his time of birth, it can fall also in my 1st house). The love for this man has boosted my spiritual development, mainly though an infinite suffering that has no end... Our feelings are mutual (my Venus tightly conjunct his Neptune that can mean that I also boost his spiritual development), but for some karmic reasons we cannot be together. Their is so much fear between us. But I still hope.
I have heard that 12th house indicates recent karma.

My feelings of affection are very strong for this person, like somehow this person is a part of me. That might sound strange, but thats just the energy vibe I get when we talk.

I would also like to know more about 12th house synastry, as I have my venus, mars and jupiter in someone's 12th house (he has no planets in there).

In my synastry with the person I am hanging out... I have my Venus and Pluto falling in he's 12th house.
I want to make things go over the surface but he is not convinced at all. And my family and he's family are aware of it.
But we still seeing each other and hanging out.... I tried to avoid him sometimes but doesn't want to let me go.

Somebody wonder that why I suspect about the 12th that because there is some one in my part with his sun conjunct my moon in my 12th house...we met in an odd way.. Before I met him I felt my soul desire and follow something which I don't know what it is, when I met him I'm so overwhelm as he is a piece what my soul desire. So sad but true we can't live together cause of a difficult situation although we felt to eachother deeply, at least in that moment....I felt as I lost my soul and some energy when I lost him...and when the time past he forgot me more easier...but I still feel for him...I don't know how much he's effected but for me it's so huge.

if your Venus falls in someone's 12th house, you will make him/her life easy. And the 12th house person will make your life sad sometimes if you have good interest in your heart.
If you not have them... then you will manipulate them easily.
That is a karmic link and this type of relationships doesn't have any future instead other factors of the chart.
I also read that the Venus person will finish loving the 12th house person just as fast like when the love begin. And I also read that the 12th house person is the one that is deeply in love with you.
1. I have my Venus and Pluto in two guys 12th house. I love just one of that two guys. But with the one I love, I am suffering because he don't trust me and when I go away from him, he just not want to let me go. Also my Venus conjunct he's ascendant.
2. With the other I don't love (just friends)... he is the one that is suffering and he cut communication with me only because I didn't express romantic feelings to him and I just wanted to remain like friends.

I have not experienced personal planets in particular Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mars as being all that great placed inside the 12th house. There is definitely potential for dishonesty(especially Mars) so one partner could be dishonest or cheat on the other. I have also experienced it as not wanting anyone to know about the relationship or not knowing where you stand. It can point to an affair or clandestine encounter. Even when on partner likes the other one partner would not want to be seen with the other person for whatever reasons as in maybe wanting to keep their option open; definitely a "behind the scenes" situation. Maybe one person see's the other person as not measuring up to their standards. 12th house is not the greatest for expression i am afraid. The same potential is there with composite charts and a lot of 12th house emphasis.
