As for Dominique Dunne's chart what one would notice immediately is Pluto in the 7th house and conjuncting her Moon there, and the T-square involving her Asc, 7th house and Mars in Scorpio in the 9th.

Pluto in the 7th is related to jealousy, obsessiveness and possessiveness. It took such an extreme violent expression in this case. The Leo cusp is related to the background and issues of this relationship - 7th in Leo often want a prestigious partner they can be proud of and the main issue in this relationship was her boyfriend feeling inadequate and inferior because of his "humble" descent and not fitting in with her sophisticated friends. Pluto in the 7th also squres her MC which is also related to her position and also to her career where he's often exhibited his jealous, obsessive and possessive behavior. It also squres her Sagittarius (freedom) Sun-Mercury conjunction and her Sagittarius (more freedom) Jupiter in the 9th and 10th house.

The T-square - her Asc. in Aquarius (more freedom and independence) conjuncts Chiron, is in a tight opposition to Uranus on the cusp of the 7th, all square Mars in Scorpio in the 9th house. I wonder what's all that 9th house that keeps popping up. With her Sag stellium, Aqua Asc. and Uranus on the cusp of the 7th I imagine she needed some personal space and independence in her relationships, which would infuriate Pluto further. Uranus is also connected with unexpected changes and unexpected behavior and sqauring Mars this unexpected behavior could be expressed violently, as he expressed it. Uranus can also be related to choosing a partner from a different social background or other kinds of relationship not conforming to social expectaions or norms in some way.

There are also some 8th house connections which strengthen the Pluto theme. The 8th house is in Libra which is connected to relationships, Venus is in the 8th house and also Neptune in Scorpio (although very close to the 9th house cusp) which sextiles her Pluto-Moon conjunction in the 7th, maybe adding some illusion and projection to the mix. Add to that all the Pluto aspects and Mars in Scorpio. Pluto has a really strong presence here.
