Sun signs.

Hi All,

As Radu has increased the amount of available poll options, I have decided to create a simple poll to test the distribution of Sun signs between voters. On another astrology site, Widgets Astrology World, there is a poll for Sun, Moon and Rising signs, with Scorpio predominant in all three categories.

I wondered what the results might be on a similar poll on this site?

Just from what I have seen, I think we have a wider diversity of people Sun sign wise than Widgets. We have at least 3 ASCs in Sag, however.

Hi again and glad you're back. Hey, this is a great idea and much easier now that Radu's expanded the options so we can have all 12 listed. It'll be fun seeing how many of each we've got here. Thanks for doing this. I voted my Capricorn Sun. :wink:

I just want to weigh in here about

my Sun Sign (Taurus..stellium includes Mars, too, with
Taurus Sun & Venus cj,
squaring my Pluto & Moon
in Leo)...

but I think the energy I'm transforming into is reallly

Scorpio!

Since there are 0 Scorpio Suns here, I think I could be a

Hi Missa,

Strange isn't it? I have noticed that there are usually more Scorpio's on astrology sites. Like on Widget's astro world, where there is poll for Sun, Moon and ASC's and Scorpio's top all three categories, like I said on the first page.

We were thinking that on here the Scorpio's, being secrective and keeping a low profile as they do were more reluctant to vote, but then why do they top the poll's on other sites?

As AM said, perhaps because Virgo's like statistics and Aries like to take the initiative they're on top so far?

There isn't nearly enough people who have voted yet though to see any really interesting results, perhaps Scorpio will pick up some time.

That's a possibility, but never fret -- I've done enough psychoanalysing throughout my life to make up for all of them :roll:

If it wasn't for my insane Aries energy, I should have been a water sign...in fact, I took a fun online quiz What Zodiac Sign Should You Be? (http://web.tickle.com/tests/standard/authorize/signin.jsp?tname=astrology_makeover&url=/tests/standard/astrology_makeover.jsp) a while back and I believe it said I should have been a Scorpio.

But for now, we'll wait...the scorpions will emerge from the shadows eventually, right? :?

It certainly does! I used to go on Skyscript, its a wonderfully educational site, but the attitude can be a little condescending and even derisive of anyone who dares mention the outer planets or dares propogate a purely original or creative idea, so I hardly go on there at all now. It is a bit snobbish to the point of being downright rude and unfriendly! At least in my past experience. Although this cannot be said for everyone on there, this is the general vibe I get.

I also like the way that this site seems to lack the hierarchial structure that so many other forums are so keen on. You know the sites where some members have 5 stars next to thier names because they've been a member for ages, and those who have no stars and so are bottom of the heap because they've only just joined. I don't like this, it generates a feeling of superiority and subordinance among members, which I feel is unecessary. Around here, it makes no difference if you've been around since the start or since just yesterday, everyone feels equally welcome.

It's also good the way Radu allows you to make a contribution to the site and put forward new ideas. It's really welcoming around here so it is the best forum definately.

Also its not one of those where you have to give your e-mail in order to register. Why do so may sites do this when it isn't necessary, why not go for the easy option? The problem with me is that I can't recieve e-mails. Why? God only knows! Its so frustrating when you go through the registration process, submit, and then: 'Thankyou, an e-mail will be sent with a password to activate your registration'. Arghh! :evil: Is it really necessary?

I agree with you, it's not very friendly but it is very educational. In fact I followed you from skyscript to this site with your body thread. (How did that turn out, after?). I'm glad I did, I've learnt so much about so much. :?

I liked that quote, too...does this apply to having a Virgo South Node? I may not have any other Virgo influences in my chart, but I think hundreds of thousands of lifetimes are enough to give me the same prerogative :lol:

EDIT: I have created a new board (just for fun) called Shout Out to Your People (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5253#5253), where everyone can bemoan and/or laugh at the characteristics of certain chart placements...but only if they themselves have it. Check it out, it should be there in a few minutes...my inner Virgo will make sure to include plenty of links :wink:

I've been rethinking about the images, in the context of learning the signs. Good stars this kind of year - and some of the zodiac constellations, some of them are obvious - or at least don't reisist my mind at all immediately, but welcome it. Some of them are kind of weird. I restarted this after looking at the stars a few weeks ago - Scorpio is like the 3rd easiest to see, Ok , that's the big triangle of Cap, at least I think I it is, but Aquarius? A sneeze of dim stars dripping a spray of even dimmer stars? C'mon... 'how did they come up with that?'
