is obsession a learning tool?

this is such a crazy situtation for me. i am looking for some insight into why i feel such a pull toward this man.

i am currently i a long term relationship with a woman. i consider myself to be a "right in the middle" bisexual. but i am monogamus. i dated this guy in high school and then had a brief encounter about 8yrs later and now he has resurfaced via email and it's like we were never apart. it's weird.

is it chemistry or is it something i should pay attention too? what am i supposed to be learning?

any insights are welcomed.

You need to first figure out if you want to leave this relationship. Then, if you do, you can think about all the other people out there you can be in a relationship with.
