Hi,

I'm really trying to figure out how the triggers to eclipses work... Natally I have Juno 29degrees Pisces, progressed (on 19th March '07) Ceres is at 29 degrees Pisces.

I had a solar eclipse on Juno/prog Ceres 19th March '07. Also the only outer planet that aspects this point is transiting Pluto in Sag - it was squaring Juno/pr Ceres in March.

Looking for triggers to events, I'm watching the transits of Sun and Mars when they square and oppose natal Juno/pr Ceres. Am I right in doing this, are these aspects likely to trigger events?

For example, 23rd September '07, the transiting Sun will be opposite my natal Juno/pr Ceres point from the 9th house. Also transiting Mars will be squaring natal Juno/Ceres from my 7th house. Will this trigger the effects of the original eclipse?

Many thanks!

NR,

I am willing to share my meager knowledge of transits with you. I, too, have been watching my chart and trying to learn. Also been trying to catch every little bit of knowledge I can on the subject.

These are my thoughts on what you said:

Pluto squaring at time of eclipse may bring these issues to focus:
Subconscious anger concerning Juno/Ceres issues involving victimization/"being a martyr"/rescuing behavior.
These may involve religious teaching from early life and past lives, seeing as it involves Sag. Also, seeing as Juno and Ceres are in Pisces, a water sign.... Forgiveness issues, concentrating on the mercy of God, and seeing God as the Divine feminine, also.

As to triggers, general consensus is that transits from the Sun go so quickly that there is usually not much effect, and this has been my experience. Although I've received some great understanding on a subject that previously had eluded me. Maybe that's the effect from the Sun transiting - opportunity for illumination.

Now Mars is a different story. You may have something occur or receive understanding along the time of Mars squaring the Juno/ Ceres point, especially since Mars is in the 7th house, which naturally rules marriage. Juno is heaving associated with marriage, being the archetype of the wife. It may involve communication issues or deception, being that Mars is in Gemini. The subject of free will may also come up.

Personally, though, just my thoughts, but I would expect a more direct hit when Mars conjuncts/crosses the Juno/Ceres point, which is also the eclipse point from March 19, 2007. My understanding is that eclipse energies are triggered when Mars crosses the eclipse point. Mars enters Pisces March 15, 2009, and so would cross the eclipse point sometime after that at the very end of its transit through Pisces.

Also the house that your Juno/Ceres point is in may add some detail.

Hope that helps.....

Hi Freedomlover,

many thanks for your reply, its fascinating.

I had a feeling Pluto may bring up these things. I recently broke away from a very controlling 'karmic' relationship I'd been in for a year. Early on in the year I had trouble breaking away though. I noticed, when the Sun squared the Juno point at the end of Gemini this summer, we had an argument, I realised I just couldn't continue in it. He tried to hold on but we split a month after. I'm still living in his house, he's my landlord (he doesn't live here), but I plan to move out end of Sept or before. This is when Mars will square Juno - hopefully a complete end to connection with him.

Maybe these eclipse issues are there to show me how to be a stronger person, not manipulated by controlling situations. I've certainly learned that this year. I read that eclipses occur on planets/points when we are ready/need to learn the lesson associated with the position in the chart.

So the Sun will highlight issues regarding the eclipse point, and Mars will probably bring in the action.

Best wishes
