View Full Version : How Responsible are you?

I came to a realization today, namely that responsibility
is necessary for academic and career success. And this
trait is needed to satisfy power hungry bureaucracies.
I have found that one of the chief causes of my low self
esteem and academic failure have been my almost non-
existent responsibility. I'm a very independent person,
however people don't understand that.
Here is my astrological interpretation. I think that the 12th
house in Leo is indicative of independence of mind. That may
be a reflection of my attitude.

Answering the question you posed:I AM A VERY IRRESPONSIBLE YOUNG LADY!:p
I'm not sure if this thread should be here or somewhere else, and I'm also not sure if I understand where you're trying to go,but I personally think the 12th house, alone, doesn't say much about one's behaviour(or any other house in the chart alone, for that matter). But,if you're thinking about what makes somone responsible,I'm thinking strong Capricorn/Virgo energies, and a very strong Saturn,or an emphasis on the Earth houses(focus on the material world). Not all Virgos are all tiddy and clean as desribed in your typical astrology cookbook-my mom is a Virgo Sun with Mercury in Virgo as well, both in the5th house I believe, and she is not very much into cleaning and organizing, she prefers to have others(i.e. me:p)cleaning for her.But most Virgos do have a very strong sense of organisation and duty, even if sometimes it goes outside your typical definition of order.

Maybe it's my Saturn in Scorpio the bad guy in my chart.

Well Lissa, that describes it perfectly then! The Virgo in her Fifth house of children, I'm surprised she hasn't bought you a vacuum cleaner for your birthday and told you to hop to it! :p

Saturn in a Fixed Sign doesn't seem so bad, and he's not hurt in Scorpio, may even have some very slight dignity if in Term or maybe some Mutual Reception. Unless the other planets are beating up on him.
Anyway, as to my personal responsibility, I think I am. Saturn is dignified in Capricorn in my chart and in the Tenth, though retrograde. Saturn could have been my Lord of Genture, but Jupiter beat him because Saturn was retrograde. :D Yay Jupiter!

This is actually quite funny, because she never did that, but she did something very similar, when she came in home coming from the supermarket. When I ran for her asking if she had bought some chocolate she said she hasn't bought any chocolate but a very cute bottle of washing-up liquid for me to have fun with in my spare time:rotflmao:
I have the opposite situation from yours in my chart, with Jupiter being my second Lord of Geniture(in case there really is such a thing:p).Saturn beats Jupiter because it is dignified(Jupiter is only in it's triplicyt),direct and in the1st,not to mention it is also my chart ruler.I don't know how this happened but somehow, organization and self-discipline are unknown concepts to me:p.

That's surprising. I tought you were a straight A student. You made me think
of Lisa of the Simpsons tv series.

What is the lord of geniture?
I think my chart ruler is Mercury because it's the only planet that it's in it's exaltation.

I'm taking that as a compliment :o lol.I've been quite a good student so far but being a good student and being organised aren't synonymes.
The Lord of Geniture is the planet in your chart that has the most ammount of bot accidental and essential dignity, that is,the planet with the most strenght.

I have often questioned how responsible am I. If I compare myself to others in some areas I am responsible and others not too responsible. I have Saturn on the Asc and I wouldn't say this gives me a responsible nature. There are times I haven't paid my bills or left some things I should have attended to until it has got into a right mess and then tried to sort it out. Probably because it is boring and uninteresting, and there is usually plenty of other things I would rather be doing. Moon in Pisces square Neptune doesn't help me out - too much escapism from the dreary side of life.

I am always having to prove myself as not being the following:
scattered, all over the place and stupid at first glance....stupid being not all there mentally, head in the clouds...funny, young, not wanting to take work seriously because I am always talking, making up stories, trying to entertain others....thus they see me as irresponsible!!
aquarius rising
gemini sun in third house
mercury in gemini fourth
jupiter in leo
Others who take the time to get to know me see me as a neat freak, a control freak and keeping things organized....especially my relationships, I am controlling too, with my ideas, and emotions- being called emotionally cold at times during stress..thus making me seem more controlled...
virgo moon in seventh house
Saturn in Virgo
mars in taurus 2rd house
Moon conjunt saturn
Wanna know what is wierd..when I am upset I LOVE to vaccum and clean!!! Like I am organizing and scrubbing the stress away...When I am upset in my life and things are not going right, the more organized and responsible I become....What else is wierd is this word association....I know the title of the thread is about responsibility but I keep wanting to use the word organization synonomously!!!!
Really I am beginning to think that with my duality I am sort of living two separate lives, only letting certain people see one side of me...I would say I am a double sided creature...one side organized one side not....The fun and the serious....wayyy to many mutable signs in my chart!!!!! Never an absolute!!!
Totally confusing!! :59:
