hello everyone!
i am new to the site and have been reading a lot of the topics that you guys have posted. very interesting stuff. i have been studying astrology for a number of years but still consider myself a novice. i can't seem to find the courage to rely on myself to give an accurate reading. anyhow, i was wondering if anyone would like to give a shot at interpreting my natal chart, especially in the realm of career. here's my chart...

My Ascendant is in Sag. and my Sun is in Gemini, conjunct the descendant. Does this pattern indicate an emphasis on the duality inherent in a Gemini? I always feel so confused about making decisions, especially with my career.

coco,
While the entire chart must be considered to do an in-depth reading on career, a "quick" reading can be done by looking at Capricorn, Saturn, and 10th house (all have to do with career). In your chart you have no Capricorn. You have an Easy Opposition focused on Saturn (duty, also career) focused in the 8th house (transformation, also power). You have Libra (relationships, also fairness) modifying Pluto (transformation, also power) focused in the 10th house (duty, also career) conjunct Midheaven (outer world) conjunct North node (future goals) focused in the 9th house (expansion, also law) all which are square (energy needs to be combined with) Jupiter (expansion, also law) focused in the 7th house (relationships, also fairness). This square is also a T-square between the nodes focused on Jupiter.
This creates a pattern of fairness, law, and power. This pattern is re-emphasized in your chart with unaspected (strong energy) Venus (relationships, also fairness) focused in the 8th house (transformation, also power) near the 7th house (relationships, also fairness). And with Mars (ancient ruler of the 8th house) focused in the 8th house.
So fairness, law, and power are strongly emphasized in your chart. The challenge is to realize the "fairness" energy. This because when a planet is unaspected in a chart, it does not "connect into" yourself. As a result, you work to put relationships, fairness, "balancing things out" into your life, but you do not "feel" any result. However, the result is there. People around you sense this continuous "balancing things out" that you do...trust that it is there and act as if you DO feel the energy of this "fairness". This will help a LOT in developing your career. Since Libra (relationships, also fairness) is the sign on the edge of your Midheaven (outer world), trusting that you ARE fairly relating to others will help you to use this energy in your life.
Fairly,
Tim
Tim,
Thank you so much for that analysis. It really helped me to see where to focus in terms of career. I have always been perplexed as to what my unaspected Venus meant in my chart. When you were describing the fairness quality that I must work on, did you mean that with people, with situations that occur, or both? I am very concerned with how people view me and do not want to be on anyone's bad side. I am very much a tit-fot-tat type of arguer and thinker. I hate thinking that I am a typical Gemini when it come to my professions, but things bore me quickly, and I need a change of pace every so often. My concern is that I will never find an occupation that I can stay in and grow.
Thanks again,
Coco

coco,
You asked:

What I meant was that the "tit-for-tat" type of arguing and thinking IS Venus energy. The challenge for you is to become more aware of this type of energy in you. The very fact that you recognize it is a step in the right direction. The next step is to realize how STRONG it is in you and how it makes you a natural for step-by-step, thrust and parry ;) type of legal thinking. The need to have legal power in discussions with others is the key, and the strength to your career endeavors.
Fairly,
Tim
