Hey :D

So, I grew up reading all the Walt Disney magazines I could find. I still do sometime now. Since I've started studying astrology, I've been fascinated by how each character showed the traits of a particular sign of the zodiac. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this with you. The sign I've assigned to each character is based on the traits they display in their stories, not on the dates on which they were created or debuted. The Walt Disney characters have had different names in each country. If you don’t recognize the English names, this site should help
http://stp.ling.uu.se/~starback/dcml/chars/index.html

OK. Here we go

Donald Duck -- Aries
Daisy Duck -- Scorpio
Gladstone Gander -- Sagittarius
Scrooge McDuck -- Capricorn
Miss Quackfaster (Scrooge's secretary) – Virgo
Grandma Duck -- Cancer
Gus Goose -- Not sure, but strikes me as a Taurus in their worse condition
Gyro Gearloose -- Pisces with Mercury in Aquarius
Beagle Boys -- mmm.. silly Scorpios? As if that exists!
Magica de Spell -- Another Scorpio and there's a touch of both Aries and Aquarius
Ludwig Von Drake -- Aquarius
Mickey Mouse -- I figured he should be Leo coz he's the star, but he just doesn’t show Leo traits. More like Pisces with Capricorn rising.
Minnie Mouse -- Libra
Goofy -- Pisces, soooooooooo Pisces
Arizona Goof -- Sagittarius
Clarabelle Cow -- Taurus with Pisces rising
Horace Horsecollar -- Virgo
Black Pete -- Scorpio with Capricorn rising
The (Phantom) Blot – S.C.O.R.P.I.O.!

Is it silly that I find this so cool?

Nah, it isn't that silly... I do the same thing with characters in books or movies sometimes. Oh, also, sometimes when I write or play a roleplay game (like D&D) I'll decide the character's personality on a random brithdate or decide the birthdate because of the character's personality.

sorehearted,

This is very funny to me. You're in Egypt and can probably see the Pyramids and Sphinx each day if you wanted. I've never been to Egypt, not in this life that is, and have longed to see it again. As a child I grew up in a town that was only 5 minutes away from Disneyland and went numerous time over the years. My Mom nearly ran Walt Disney himself over in the parking lot there once! He smiled and waved at us  As a kid growing up we watched the Disney shows on TV every Sunday night so I loved most of those character's too. I think you've done a great job at discovering their astrological signs! Your memory is much better than mine, I'd forgotten many of them.

Many years ago I read somewhere about the Peanut character's and how somebody had done what you did. I remember that Lucy was a Leo....Snoopy was an Aquarius........Charley Brown was a Capricorn........Pig Pen was a dysfunctional Virgo and so on. It was really funny.

sorehearted: I believe tons of characters in all media have been based upon archetypes, the creators just don't admit it. Although I think Walt would insofar as he even created his very own tarot deck, so he was into metaphysical type of things forever. As did the founder of Mensa. This stuff we like, it's more mainstream than people know, it's only because of the stigma attached that nobody admits it, and the fact that they would never admit a personality profile was not of their own creation  . It's also obvious in soap operas. So whatever, we know, don't we? 8)

Lapis,

I don't know whether to envy you because you lived so near to Disney Land or because the GREAT Walter Elias Disney himself waved at you :) And wow.. Snoopy IS an Aquarius!!

Baker,

Oh yes we do ;)

Okay-- you mentioned most of the Peanuts characters except the most obvious-- Linus.

Sagitarious sun and Cancer moon-- or the opposite? He's the philosopher of the comic strip-- Sagitarious. But the security blanket is definitely Cancer. In fact, in that Astrologer'prayer, Cancer is mentioned as having God as a security blanket.

When I joined this forum back in September, I inquired about an "Astrologer's prayer which I saw on a poster about twenty years ago. Someone kindly posted it for me. There is a reference to "security blanket" and Cancer. This is what I was referring to when I mentioned Linus maybe being a Cancer because he needed a Security blanket. Here is the entire "prayer."

Prayers and Zodiacal Signs
Astrology Humour

ARIES: "Dear God! Give me PATIENCE and I want it NOW!"

TAURUS: "Dear God, please help me accept CHANGE in my life, but NOT YET."

GEMINI: "Yo God...(or is it Goddess?)...Who are you?...What are you?.....Where are You?.....How many of you ARE there? I can't figure you out!"

CANCER: "Dear Daddy, I know I shouldn't depend on you so much, but you're the only One I can count on while my security blanket is at the cleaners."

LEO: "Hi, Pop! I'll bet you're really proud to have me as your kid!"

VIRGO: "Dear God, please make the world a better place, and don't ***** it up like you did the last time."

LIBRA: "Dear God, I know I should make decisions for myself. But, on the other hand, what do YOU think?"

SCORPIO: "Dear God, help me forgive my enemies, even if the bastards don't deserve it."

SAGITTARIUS: "OH ALMIGHTY, ALL KNOWING, ALL-LOVING, ALL-POWERFUL, OMNIPRESENT, EVERLASTING GOD, IF I'VE ASKED YOU ONCE, I'VE ASKED YOU A THOUSAND TIMES --- HELP ME STOP EXAGGERATING!!!!!!!!!!"

CAPRICORN: "Dear Father, I was going to pray, but I guess I ought to figure things out for myself. Thanks anyway."

AQUARIUS: "Hi God! Some say you're a man. Some say you're a woman. I say we're ALL God. So, why pray? Let's have a party!"

PISCES: "Heavenly Father, as I prepare to consume this last fifth of Scotch to drown out my pain and sorrow, may my inebriation be for Thy greater Honor and Glory."

Actually I found another one on the Net that was the one which I originally saw. I will print that one, too, if you wish. But this one is good, too!

No one speaks about Cinderella
I guess she's a Pisces (i'm 99% sure)

Goofy could strike me as a Pisces, a Sag or an Aquarius

Yeah,Cinderela would definitly be a Pisces..probably with Cancer Moon.All that sweetness...too much sweetness,actually.
Most of the Disney's female principal characters would be Pisces,or at least have lots and lots of sweet water in their birth charts. The exception would probably be Mulan(maybe Mars in Aries or an Scorpio/Leo Moon),and Pocahontas isn't the typical sweet princess as well.

I'm enjoying this thread a lot lol.Just yesterday I found that I would be Mickey Mouse(Pisces with Caps rising) :D.Let's ignore the fact that I've never liked Mickey Mouse and that I'm not all that perfect and moraly right and toughtful lol.

Here are some more:

What sign is Anne of Green Gables? She has the talkative and daydreaming Libran qualities. Daydreaming and imaginative is also Piscean, however, and she tends to lean on that as well. She's also the charmer, lover of beauty and is somewhat vain about herself which is also Libran. But she has a temper and can hold a grudge which is Scorpian. What sign/ signs would you attribute to her?
