My Libra brother, who doesn't follow or believe in astrology, has just become engaged to be married...and hopefully married by next summer.

I don't like their synastry, and I don't want to tell him. I think his fiance is a great girl. Im curious what the attraction is? And Im just a little concerned. Here's why:

Her Sun and Mars are in his 12th house
Her Neptune square his Jupiter, Sun, Saturn.
Her Mars square his Pluto, Mercury, IC
Her Sun square his Mars

They seem to be on cloud nine right now. But from their synastry I just get a sense of them going behind each other's back and some tempers flying.

She's in red, and he's in blue. I don't know her birthtime :/ so I'm not sure what houses her planets lie in and the degree of her moon.

StarNur,

I agree with you - it does look like a lot of potentially combative energies.

It looks to me like she is the dominant one in the relationship, with her 10th house Sun and Mars - it's all about me, me, me when it comes to her. She is probably very status conscious, as well. I see him as the one who "goes along to get along" with his Libra stellium in the 3rd, and 8th house Pisces moon. He would seem like a really nice guy, but a bit of a doormat.

12th house is the house of the subconscious, but also is the house of karmic unfinished business. Not only is her Sun and Mars in his 12th, but his Libra stellium is in her 12th. That would seem to me that they are definitely going to trigger each other's subconscious issues, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

His Mercury/Pluto conjunction in the 3rd is conjunct her AC, so communication problems. Her Pluto/Saturn in the 1st is in his 4th house, so
she will probably try to "rule the roost", and may resurrect issues he had in childhood- probably the way he saw his parents' marriage.

With her Venus (r)/Mercury conjunction in Virgo opposing his moon, there could be a lot of criticism and blame and victimzation issues going on.

There is also an emphasis on 2nd house issues, so self-worth and finances?

As far as the attraction, does he make good money or have a promising career? I ask this because of the 2nd house emphasis, and her Venus (r) in his second, and her Jupiter in the 2nd in his 4th. Also, her Sun is conjunct his AC from behind, so maybe she enjoys "standing in his shadow"?

This is my first synastry reading I've done on the forum- only looked at my own before. Please let me know if anything resonates.

Hi Starnur, I believe Freedomlovers interpretation is pretty accurate. Planets falling in one anothers 12th houses is very karmic indeed. There is a Photobucket maintenance going on right now and I cannot see the charts. Very important in synastry are the Moons placements. I have seen fantastic synastry aspects, promising Heaven on Earth, but the different Moons just ruined it in the end (just imagine, Pisces Moon wants to sit cosily at home, candle light, massages, Leo Moon wants to hit the disco! ). The marriage will probably last longer than average, but in the end, probably the Pisces Moon starts feeling a great lack of closeness and Leo gets totally bored. As we dont know what time she was born, it is difficult to exactly know where her Moon falls. I would take the ephemeries and add around 7° to the Moon's position to get an average placement. Then the Mercuries are important too. Not only the aspects, but especially the element shows how they communicate. And Venus of course, the way they express their love feelings.
In this case, the houses also play an important part I found. See if they have "loyal" Venusses (Taurus, Capricorn) or flirty one's like Gemini and Aries.

hi
i ran a composite and it also is suspect.
on the up side ,venus is sextile to jupiter shows a level of attraction and it is a minor aspect of marriage.the venus/jupiter midpoint is conjunct to mercury so the marriage plan is on their minds.
but the down side is stronger.
mars square to neptune can indicate that he will not be faithful and and will not be truthful in the relationship.
venus is square to uranus which shows the sudden, intense, idealistic attraction but it also indicates that she is very independent and the aspect can show separation after the thrill is gone.
with a loose venus/uranus midpoint conjunct saturn and square to juno,it sems that he will want to opt out of the marriage and is resistant to committment in the first place.the moon/saturn midpoint square to pluto indicates that there is not a open emotional connection between them and that both bring major emotional issues with them.
the moon is opposed to the saturn/uranus midpoint,an indication she will want to separate if they do get hitch.this also indicates that she is a bit hesistant to make this committment

Thanks All!

I'll see how these aspects work in the next year...they're not married yet!

And if they do end up getting married...do they have some karma to deal with?
