Hi Ray.
What's the source for this data?
Wow, some story!
The Virgo Ascendant and the Virgo Sun-Pluto conjunction in the 1st house is perfect to describe the germ-free obsessive environment, Virgo being so specific for cleaness.
Mercury at its own exaltation degree, 15th of Virgo, is the rising and solar sign, ruler, which make it very important but also the least aspected planet of the chart and it stands in the 12th house of hospitals and isolation, which is as an autistic condition, besides is squared by Saturn, from the house of science, the 9th, pointing out the scientific medical experiment which ultimately failed.
Some other comments on this chart?

Not only does Mercury rule the ascendant and disposit the Sun, but it also disposits Saturn that Radu mentioned, and Saturn is the ruler of the sixth house of disease.
I am suprised that Mercury, ruling the ascendant and so showing the vitality of the body is so well dignified, but it's twelfth house placement, is certainly a nice illustration of 'the boy in the bubble'. (Mercury also being the natural significator of boys).
All three tarnspersonal planets are keyed into this chart, with Pluto conjoined with the Sun, Jupiter conjoined with Neptune, and Uranus in a partile trine with Mars which is itself in a partile conjunction with the Dragon's Mouth.
Jupiter ruling the seventh can represent that which besets and opposes the boy in life. The Sun is the ruler of the twelfth and so is significator of his enclosure and isolation. Mars is ruler of the eighth of death and destruction, and so all of the planets involved with the transpersonal forces are ruling houses that can be seen as unfortunate, so all would have something to say about his unhappy life.
I totally exclude Chiron, but what do you Chiron enthusiasts have to say about Chiron being involved in a partile pattern with Uranus and Mars?
I'm learning to be a little more open minded lately. Not that I'm going to be filling my charts with asteroids any time soon. :o
This is an interesting chart, I'll have a closer look at this later on but I have to rush out right now.
Yes, a quite striking configuration:
1st house ruler in the 12th house
12th house ruler in the 1st houseI like this image "Boy in the bubble" = Asc ruler, Mercury (non-sexual age child) in the 12th house (confinement).
I am also fond of SR's observation on Neptune in the 3rd house. Neptune is the natural ruler of infections, also germs. The 3rd house by analogy with Gemini, the 3rd sign, is very likely to be associated with the atmosphere.
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign, emphasizing the qualities of the planets therein, so Neptune (germs) in Sagittarius (contagious) in the 3rd house (breathing) points out for the highly contagious nature of the respirable environment.
Saturn in Gemini in the 9th house could stand for the air bubble he was placed in by scientists in order to keep the surrounding germs to harm him (Saturn opposes Neptune). But this bubble also prevented him from moving around - Saturn square Mercury.
This opposition takes place on the knowledge axis - science was expected to bring forth the cure for his condition. Nowadays the disease he was suffering from is curable in most cases.
If this were a horary chart, it would be important to notice that the Moon is void of course and on Via Combusta, which is an important affliction offering hints on the inevitability of the outcome. I'm not a determinism only believer, but in some cases, the expected solution is not available. The Moon separates from Uranus (modern ruler of the 6th house) - most advanced means of medicine of his time were no good for him.
What to make of Uranus, Mars, Chiron at nodal degrees?
How do you consider the Yod pointed on Mercury?
Any more elements to complete the image? How about some midpoints?
