View Full Version : Strange Stelliums in Progressed Chart

The other day I was randomly checking progressed charts of the people on my Astro.com account for study purposes. One chart of an ex-boyfriend stood out in particular. He has two strange stelliums in the 5th and 12th houses. His behavior has been nothing less than bizarre, and I was wondering if there were any explanations in his chart.

Also, I went back to this time in 2002, and checked his progressed chart for then. He was really acting the most bizarre at that time. His 12th house looked like this at that time: Lilith 22* Leo, Sun 25* Leo, Uranus 26* Leo, True Node 27* Leo, AC 28* Leo, and then Mercury 29* Leo, but in the 1st by 1 degree. I thought that was an awfully tight, unusual cluster of planets to be stacked up. It is still nearly as bad, but has loosened up somewhat.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this one? How would you read these aspects if they were in a natal chart? I'm really curious as to what these kind of aspects could implicate.

I also noticed that the 12th house stellium is conjunct Regulus - ???

It can happen. I knew someone who changed dramatically in their personality when pr Mars cj'd natal Pluto. The person became extremely aggressive and troubled. It was so sad. Pr Mars moves so slowly.

Thanks AquariusMoon!

It's interesting that you should bring up a Mars/Pluto conjunction, as there was not one in this chart. This guy does have a Mars /Pluto conjunction at 5/6 degrees Virgo in the 2nd in his natal. He is rather shy by nature, but very self-critical. I wonder if you intuitively picked up on this. Maybe whatever that signifies in his natal is tied in to the stelliums he currently has in his current progressed chart.

Hmmm.. That doesn't in any way have to do with the ability to father a child, does it? (Mars/Pluto in Virgo in the 2nd?) He does have a history of physical, emotional, and mental problems on this subject - and there is a huge emphasis on Leo/5th house in his progressed.

Some other odd things I noticed about this chart...

Mercury, ruler of the 1st is in the 1st, conjunct Pluto, which is disposited by Mercury.

The Sun, ruler of the 12th, is in the 12th, and has just entered Virgo, which of course is tied in with the 1st house stuff. Sun is also conjunct Regulus by 1 degree.

Saturn, ruler of the 5th, is in the 5th, and exactly conjunct the POF.

Both the 12th house stellium in Leo, and the 5th house stellium in Capricorn, are inconjunct.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the meaning of these aspects? Sun/Leo and Saturn/ Capricorn are both associated with fathers and authority..........

No, I was just answering in general about strange behavior. Transits and progressions can do that, change someone's basic personality for a time.

So the chart you posted is his pr chart? I'd compare it to his natal chart, All his pr planets are mostly in just two houses. That's a lot of concentrated energy!

Still looking for comments on the stellium aspects, if even as you would interpret them in a natal chart.... I can translate into the progressed, as I know this individual pretty well.

The recently popular thread "Saturn in the 5th house of Romance" stirred up my interest again in understanding this chart.

Any thoughts?

My old friend, CharmVirgo! We meet again!

Thanks for posting your thoughts!

Do you know this guy???? (You are very "right on" in your description.)

I do notice some lack of aspects for this chart, therefore he could be losing touch with his inner self and be more open to any outside influences and aspects, (other people/world) without any connection to his inner workings. Stelliums cause imbalance in the area of the chart where they are found.

With the stellium in 12th, he could be swimming in an endless sea of confusion, to make it worse Neptune in 3rd is aspecting the Mercury and Pluto conjunction. He could be having confused and dark thoughts. He is mentally awash.
He has been romantically involved in a long-term relationship with a woman who has been using strong black magic on him. (magic with a bad intent, and that tries to control his will) (I know, I know, she can't if he's not letting her somehow - but that would take a lot of psychological unraveling) I've tried to warn him several times what she is doing, but he just turns on me and defends her - so I gave up years ago. I've had dream after dream over the years about him being on a type of "mind control" - with her pulling the strings.

Saturn in 5th has trouble expressing their childish side or abilities connected with children. Moon conj Saturn is emotionally supressed and Moon is further inhibited by the Cap placement while Saturn is strong. There are no aspects there so they are stewing by themselves.
He has never been able to father a child - a crushing disappointment to him. His girlfriend has a child that he is extremely attached to - more so than his girlfriend, by his family's reports - and this may be much of why he stayed with her. She is now grown and will be going away to school in a few weeks.

This guy and the witch also play music in a rock'n'roll band on the weekends.

Mars in Libra trining JUpiter in 5th wants desperately to have some kind of action in the relationship and creative children department, but they are not really connecting with the rest of the chart very much.
He was really devastated when he and his wife (the love of his life) were unable to conceive. They broke up under strange circumstances, with them both being very hurt. She remarried and had a child within a year of their divorce. I don't think he ever got over this emotionally. This was a turning point in his life that sent him into a tailspin for some reason. This is when he really started focusing on the woman and child he is with now - and when she really started to get control of him.

Venus is not aspected apart from oppostion to POF and Vertex, and by the Pluto/Mercury conjunction.
Not exactly sure how this fits in. However, I think you described the situation very well, seeing as how I gave you no background information, other than "bizarre behavior", and the little blurb I gave AquariusMoon in reply.

I was wondering if this would all show up in his chart. Astrology rocks!

Charmvirgo,

Maybe Venus fits in to it by representing the woman you mention, who has control over your friend? Venus is aspecting the Mercury/Pluto conjunction, which is also receiving the aspect from deceiver Neptune drawing a veil over what is being done to him.
Good point! I hadn't noticed these aspects. I think that describes what is going on in his life very well.

Otherwise he will have to learn to become his own person, nobody can teach him that except himself.
Yes, I think this is what it comes down to, and I'm afraid it's going to be a very hard lesson.

Thanks for your input! You are very insightful!
