View Full Version : Oh No! I lost my Lapis!

I discovered my blue Lapis stone missing this evening. For those of you who remember my "Lapis Dream" thread - this is the Lapis from that dream. It was very special to me, and I really desire to recover it.

I wear my stones in my bra (don't laugh). Yesterday I had on a different bra than what I usually wear, and somehow it must have slipped out. The good news is that I did not go off of the property yesterday, so it is not far.

I would greatly appreciate if any of you horarists would assist me in this matter!

Here is the chart for the time I discovered it missing and asked the question:
"Where is my Lapis?"

(If you're having trouble viewing the chart, you'll need to do one of the following, depending on your browser: Click in the upper left hand corner - you should see a little magnifying glass
OR Click in the upper left hand corner - look for orange ball with blue arrows in lower right hand corner of chart - click on the orange ball.)

Hello, Freedom!

I don't even consider myself a horarist, but I would like to try to help you with this.
You are signified by Jupiter, and the Moon, and your Lapis by Saturn and Venus. Pars of Fortune (your lapis/lost object) is in the second house, in the terms of Jupiter (still your possession), disposed by Saturn in Leo.
Saturn, Venus and the Moon are in the 8th house in Leo. The Moon (you) is applying to Venus and Saturn, (your Lapis). Where to look for it? Leo (East by North), 8th house (West South West corner). It's a fixed sign so it could be on a flat surface, where there is or was some source of heat (a BBQ or fireplace perhaps?), may be a place where your pet likes to be (do you have a cat?), may be somewhat occult from your view? Colours green and black.
I don't know if this is right. It may be all Mercury retrograde mumbo jumbo after all:o , but I really wish you can find your gemstone very soon.

Good luck!

Carole

Carole,

Thanks so much for your interpretation. I've been wondering if it didn't fall out on the grass somewhere while I was outside. I don't know if any of your directions include outside the house. It also makes sense in that I think I would have heard it had it fallen on a hard floor inside ( no carpet). The green and black colors would fit, too, for outside. I'm also wondering if it hasn't been moved from where it originally fell by one of several kitties who like to play!

Thanks for the good wishes, too! I now live in a very rural "backwards - thinking" area and am currently flat broke anyway, so it is nearly impossible for me to obtain another one around here. Like I said in my "Lapis Dream" thread, it had special significance to me,as well.

Carole, you sound as if you're really learning well. Sounds impressive. If freedom Lover does not locate it soo, s/he can try pm-ing Draco, as he is excellent in locational work.

Freedom:

Of course you should try those directions outside of the house as well, since the significators in a succedent house suggest it's not inside the house. And the possibility that the lapis is covered is not remote if you have kittens playing around there. I think you'll have to comb the green area where you remember to have walked by. And as a last resource, I would suggest the use of a pendulum. You have charged that gemstone with your energies by carrying it inside the bra, so it shouldn't be hard to find it.
Also, I wanted to add that you should look at mid level when looking for it, and consider the red colour (Leo) as well as black and green.
Do you remember walking near a place where garbage is kept or piled? Eight house has to do with places like those.
I think you will find it eventually, but it could take some time.

Moondance:

Thank you very much!

Okay, I checked several places.

Do you remember walking near a place where garbage is kept or piled? Eight house has to do with places like those.
I immediately thought of the compost pile in the back yard. There is also a bright orange-red piece of pipe near it. I thought for sure it would be near there, but I checked carefully, and it wasn't. The grass is not very tall, so it was relatively easy to check for - also the Lapis is about the size of a quarter.

I also checked around the house where I normally walk, as well.

I had the horrible thought: I hope it didn't fall into the toilet and is now in the septic system!!! (green, black, place where garbage is piled, hidden from view.... )

Would anybody else like to chime in?

We definitely need one of the experts in locating lost items who can shed light where I have been unable to, because of my lack of experience in Horary. A different view on things can be a valuable tool as well...and a more structured analysis perhaps.

Experts in Horary...where are you all???????????:(

Cheer up, Freedom. Someone will show up and help with this!:D

Good News!!! I found my Lapis!!!

I was on chat recently with some forum members. Wintersprite1 successfully solved the horary - although she did not formally post. She told me what her conclusion was during chat. She said that I would find it in "Gemini" type places. She and Carole gave me the types of things considered Gemini (which I'm sorry to say I don't remember).

The Lapis was found last night. I have a totebag near my bed where I keep my astrology books, journals, pens, etc. I went to get a book that I don't use very often, and "Voila!" - out falls the Lapis onto the floor. It had dropped down into the bag somehow - so it was definitely located in a "Gemini" type location.

So, kudos to Wintersprite1!!! Perhaps you would like to post how you arrived at that conclusion - so we can all learn some more horary skills here- hmmm?

A special "thank-you" to Carole for her concern and efforts in trying to help me find my Lapis. You did very well for a beginner, Carole. Keep practicing! I understand that horary takes a lot of practice to learn well.

OH! and I just realized a little bit ago......

I forgot to try my hand at the horary when I first posted. Sorry! The retrograde Mercury has really had my mind slipping the past few days.
Thanks to all for bearing with my oversight.

I'm surprised nobody corrected me on it!

I am truly glad you finally found it, Freedom! And I'll try to follow your advice. Horary is great, and it's worth taking some time to practise it.

Congratulations to wintersprite for solving the puzzle.:)

I'm thinking Wintersprite looked at your 2nd which has Capricorn naturally, since Saturn rules stones in general. Noting that Saturn is in Leo, Sun ruled, in Gemini, at a degree showing something hidden. Then looking at the natural house of stones and Capricorn we see Mercury ruled Virgo. Mercury is in the sign of the breasts confirming you put it in your bra. Merucry is in mutual reception with the Sun showing their connection. Moon is also in Leo tracing back to Su-Me. Then she is near Venus, bedroom and property, moving in on Saturn, the stone. And wouldn't the totebag be another sort of bra :)

What I don't get is the timing. It showed up in 3 days but Moon would indicate the longest time frame being fixed and succeedent, so years. Unless just her degree shows how long in real time, 3 days going into the next sign. Or maybe it should be minutes, hours and days on this one. Mercury, ruling the natural Capricorn house, is the only one that fits the rules, being in a cardinal sign and house. But even then, only the applying trine to apparant rather than true node would = this amount of time.

Aquarian Essence,

Thanks for adding your understanding to this!

First of all, yes, you are right. I do think the totebag is another sort of bra - they are both "over the shoulder boulder holders".:D

As to the timing.... this is something I have had no instruction on. But, studying the chart, and the things you pointed out, I noticed something. I don't know if this qualifies as horary rules, or not, as I don't really know them(): But I was drawn to what you said about Mercury being the natural ruler of the Capricorn house, which was the stones's sig. I have always looked upon the 10th/Cap house as the house of "goals and what is to be achieved". I noticed that the natural Capricorn house changes to Libra in 3 degrees, making its new ruler Venus, which is at 11'27" Leo in 8th, and is in an exact-to-the-minute semisextile with Mercury at 11'27" Cancer in 7th. (It is my understanding that exact semisextiles can be very potent.) The 7th seems to be what most horarists want to assign as the partner, or "other"'s house. If the "other" is me being matched back up with the stone, then, not only is Mercury in the 7th, but also the dispositor of Venus in Leo- which is the changed ruler of the stone's natural house (10th) - is the Sun in Gemini in the 7th. Venus in Leo in 8th - something hidden from view(8th) begging to be noticed (Leo), disposited by the Sun in Gemini - coming to light (Sun) in my totebag full of journals and books (Gemini place) - in 3 days (# of degrees till the goal/10th house changes signs.)

Okay, please tell me if that made sense to anyone but me. :o

Yes, I understand what you're saying. I don't think it is within the rules according to traditional horary, but it fits. I've always attributed the 11th to hopes and goals rather than 10th but even that cusp will work. It too changes from Libra to Scorpio in 3 degrees and Jupiter is only 3 degrees from ascendant. :)
