So, I've never looked at this before, but my mom and I were on the phone talking about how strange (in a pretty good way) her life has been for the past month or so, and I found that Jupiter was jotting back and forth over her Sun right now. So we started talking about this awful accident she got into in 2004 and why that happened.

So simply as a case study...

My mom drives a truck for a living. She was coming up to visit where I was staying with a friend in New York at the time so that she could also vote on November 2nd, 2004. It was November 1st and she was going to be late because they suddenly decided to throw her on another load real quick before sending her up to New York. She was driving in heavy rain in Missouri on the interstate and a woman in an SUV came across the median towards her she didn't see her until her SUV was spraying mud up from the median and slammed right into her left steer wheel (her hubcap wound up in the front of the woman's car, lol). She held control over her vehicle until they then basically ricocheted off her and then hit her again on the end of her trailer (don't worry, the woman was somehow not very hurt). This pulled the back of my mom's vehicle to the right and therefore, of course, the front to the left and she wound up going across the median herself and finally stopping when she hit a hill on the other side of the oncoming lanes. No other cars hit her.

Now... She wound up noticing problems with her vision (a darkening in the outer corner of her left eye, and a blurring in the same area) and major neck pain later that day (I assume after the adrenaline wore off.) After going to the company's workman's comp doctor a few times, and him telling her to do neck exercises and take 8 Aleve a day while her headaches were getting worse and worse, she decided to get a second opinion.

She went to a chiropractor here in Tulsa and got x-rays done and everything and they showed that she had 2 vertebrae out of alignment and a squished disc from what had been whiplash. This disc had her vision nerves running through it - they were probably getting squished which caused the weird vision issues. Anyway, she went on medical leave to take care of her neck in order to fix the headaches and the ever worrying vision problems that were actually getting worse (moving closer to the center of her left eye's vision). She used up her medical leave so they let her go since she wasn't better and wasn't comfortable driving yet. She tried to get onto unemployment while she continued looking for a local daytime driving job (so her vision problem wouldn't be an issue) and they argued to a judge that she was making the whole injury up, so she shouldn't get it and they somehow won. Which is ridiculous.

Oh I forgot to mention that the owner of her company, CFI, is on the board of directors of the Workman's Comp hospital that they use, Occumed out of Joplin, MO. That's a conflict of interest if I've heard of one; get back to work, stop bitching! They never even did x-rays despite it being a neck injury.

LONG story short[er] over the next 10 months she couldn't find a job that would cover our apartment and utilities and we almost were evicted a couple of times; but luckily we get along with the managers here GREAT and they did every single thing they could to make sure we weren't evicted (we were multiple months late on rent on a couple of occasions.) I worked a bit, she did all the work she could - she couldn't get a clerical job because nothing she found was near the bus route. She got a job selling meat door to door because they picked ehr up everyday, which was about $100 a week despite 10 hour a day/6 day a week work. The only reason she stayed was they kept promising they were selling a strangely low amount of meat and it would always be better next week, which it never was. She got a job for a 3-truck-big company and the guy wound up paying her later and later every pay period and then tried to completely withheld her last check when she finally had to quit (we got it though.) Then she started on with this company, All Freight, and all is well.

Skip to here if you don't want to read all of that...

So the accident was terrible and freak in physical terms, but it also destroyed our lives for almost a year. I wonder if there's anything apparent in the event chart that would show any of this happening.

I've also been comparing the event chart to her own chart and some of the aspects I've noticed are:
Accident's Mars squ. Mom's Mars (6 degrees separating though), Venus and Moon
Accident's Vx (15Can) conj. Mom's Mars
Accident's Anti-Vx (15Cap) conj. Mom's Saturn
Accident's Mars in detriment

Any insight on this would be appreciated. I'm not asking "why did this happen?!?!", but I just think insight on this matter would be very interesting as it so completely changed our lives.
