I applied for a new job in something I've wanted to do for quite a while. N node is in my 3rd - communications! Jupiter in 1st 4 degrees away from Asc.

One should also consider this configuration in any analysis of today's events:

a) not only does the nodal axis line up with the Sun/Jupiter opposition, so does a Mars/Chiron sextile, forming what I call a bucket (not sure if that's the proper term, but its what I use :P) with Sun/Jupiter/Mars/Chiron.
b) the UR/NO midpoint is tightly squaring the SO/JU opposition, integrating the four objects

Note that I've forced the location of the part of fortune to the UR/NO midpoint for visual reference...

In short, this is a supercharged SO/JU opposition!

About 13 months ago, early May 2006, the last SO/JU opposition was fairly powerful too, as it configured with Mars and Uranus to form a kite. That was the trigger that brought the Olmert government to power in Israel as that opposition happened across Israel's nodes and Olmert came to power very close to that time.

As the Sun/Jupiter opposition happens across my relocated ASC/DSC axis, today has been an interesting day of relating - About 10 min after I woke up some friends called me and told me to bring my butt over, we've been having a good time, enjoying the nice weather and having fun with some musical goodness. Can't complain! ;)

Edit to add: I should note that the chart above is timed to SO/MA=JU/CH. With 4-planet configurations like this I generally time the midpoint of the two faster objects to the midpoint of the two slower objects, usually resulting in the lowest overall orbs.

I am looking at a GRAND SQUARE here between Sun-Node-Jupiter and Uranus. Quiet heavy indeed but no ill effects on my side apart from a headache. I actually had a very nice day with friends I had not seen in a long time.
