[synastry] Venus opposition Saturn

There are these two females I'm fond of. They both have their Venus at 26 Taurus, which explains my fondness with my Mars at 0 Gemini.

The thing is my Saturn is at 26 Scorpio. Anyone have any experience with that aspect? Does the Venus strengthen the Mars in it's opposition? Or does this cold Saturn totally freeze the earthly Venus?

I didn't the exact aspects you mentioned, but I had my saturn conjunct my husband's mars and oppose his venus. At first I had a very stabilizing effect on him. We were connected from day one. But as time went on he resented me for the very thing he looked for from me in the begining. If that makes sense to you. I feel like what the cookbooks say about the aspects rang true with us. We are now going through a divorce. Hope that helps.

A tense interaspect between Venus and Saturn calls for considerable, skillful effort from both people. The good news is that Saturn aspects correlate with commitment and longevity in relationships, and any contact with Venus can be a big help in that department. The bad news is that Saturn is about emotional blockages and control issues. On the simplest level there is something about the Saturn partner that seems to inhibit the Venus partners romantic and sexual responses. The Saturn partner may need to loosen up and just let the Venus person be herself a bit more. On a more complicated level, the Venus person needs to recognize that his or her own issues around trust might blind her to the Saturn's persons many gifts. I think with the Venus/Saturn aspect falling across the Taurus/Scorpio axis maybe issues of possessiveness, jealousy could be potential problems. With Saturn in Scorpio you could have insecurities around deep intimacy. With Obsessions and fixations having it's hold on you. Money and control issues. All the Taurus/Scorpio issues being involved.

SR, thanks for the explanation; this is not going anywhere romanticly (age difference is way off), but because I'm so fond of them, I was curious what effect this would have. especially because they might help me in my personal Mars/Saturn sturgle
