Which should be used for a composite chart? I always used Asc midpoint and then a report I ordered had a MC midpoint. Which is proper?

Hi Shannon,
It's possible you're not getting much response because the question is incomplete. Any midpoint is the synthesis of 2 points like the Sun/Moon midpoint or Asc/MC midpoint. Which midpoint is being questioned? And do label it using both parts to be factored. I hope this helps clarify things.
Ciao!

Well, when I used my computer program's default, "Asc midpoint", the Asc was Leo. When I got a report on the composite chart done by cafeastrology.com they used a "MC midpoint" and so the chart was flipped and the Asc was Aquarius.
I'm not really sure how that would even make sense, for the chart to flip just because of that, but now I'm just confused.
The options in my program are:
Derived at Latitude of Place
MC midpoint
Asc midpoint (default)
Time-Space
It seemed to me like all of the planets would just be at the midpoints between the planets in the 2 charts. But if this is flipping the chart, I'm wondering why.

This is beginning to look like you've input data from 2 separate charts and they were combined to get one point each. Is that the case as if it were person A and person B?
