Hi,
I read a very interesting article about chiron squares, you can find it here http://astronuts.tribe.net/thread/6e48150e-c64f-43ae-80df-c59f472bba7e

My question is, is it only the first square that chiron makes to the natal chiron important, or are all squares lessons? The reason why I'am asking is because I have an 8th house Chiron in Taurus, and it will be squared by transiting Chiron in August, Aquarius in the 4th. My moon is also in the 8th, so I'm very worried. Thank you!

There is so much negative connotations concerning astrology it seems.Everyone fears things.

Fear is ruled by Saturn and Chiron transits are not to be feared. One thing that I think Chiron can bring is creativity and enlightenment as opposed to all the negative things which it seems to be associated with.

It takes a few other aspects in conjunction with a Chiron transit to get it's effects or to be felt in a major way I believe.

The outer planets are something that I think are Malefics and which one can only go along with as far as change is concerned. The more you fight an outer planet transit the worst off you are/I read that it is better to learn to float with them as swimming against a riptide you get no where. Same might be said for a negative transit from Chiron. The Sqaure is not to be feared as it might denote positive change also.

Squares also involve action. They make us move. It may be a time to refocus your energy into something that will be lasting in the long run. Seeing that the 8th has to do with resources and how we use them it might make you re-evaluate how you use your energy and resources.

Chiron is a very interesting asteroid and the only one which I use in the natal reading due to having it trine my asc and having marked effect on my life.It is also in oppositio to my 3rd house Pluto. So I might be on track as to the way it works. You having Taurus on the 8th or else K in Tau seems that values shall be involved along with the way you might make use of them.

Do not fear any transit as they are all learning experiences no matter how hard they might be. Life was not meant to be all peaches and cream. There are some very hard karmic lessons we must all endure.

try to enjoy your life while still young and grow!

I cant resist a thread on chiron!

I have it in a T-square opposing pluto like Sag Moon's and squaring my sun. I think of chiron having taught me that the pain rises when it is ready to be released. I have tranisting uranus currently conjunct natal chiron in the 10th. transiting Jupiter in conjunct natal sun and also sqaure natal chiron. Transiting Chiron is closing in on my midheaven. It is a period of rejuvenation of my career and public expression. It is also a period of final cleansing and healing of issues that i brought with me.

I really feel that Chiron protects through the process of shining light on your darkness, so that it can be released, purged, or just simply forgotten. It can denote a period when you realise you have learnt the lesson but are still carrying old negative thoughts like a habit. The reason for them is gone. It is up to you now to make a concious decision to leave it behind, as it is no longer who you are.

I hope this rambling of mine has been useful.

Good writing. I agree with what you wrote.

Chiron seems to clense whatever planet it touches and makes us aware of that planets energy.

If what you say is true about Chiron cleansing whatever planet it touches then I can hardly wait for it to conjunct my natal Venus next March. I'm in need of much cleansing in that area in life, be that I'm currently going through a bad divorce. I also had a relationship with my first love of 25 years ago at the end of my marriage...we are no longer together :( and it's been very painful letting him go. Something inside me wants to hold on to what we had. I need a good spiritual cleanse revolving around painful relationships. Thanks!

I too have been through the end of a long term relationship. I began to see the relationship as a reflection of my inner self. That was really painful. But then I went about creating a new inner me, by chosing the things I love instead of what I think I need.

I am still single, but I am more balanced and have more love in my life (family firends pets nature the sea.......) than I ever had while I was in a relationship. It has been freeing and I know have a totally different perspective on the meaning of relationship. I look to provide all I need within myself, so in relationship all that is left is to enjoy the companionship. No needs.

It took time it was hard for me, but I am coming out into something quite blissful.
