Hello!

I'm Penguin Trauma - I'm a :pisces: sun, with :sagittarius: Rising and Moon.
Compared to a lot of people in the forum, my knowledge of astrology is quite limited, I just about know some parts of Natal astrology.

I completely suck at horary, transits, etc :(:(

I wouldn't mind learning about Horary Astrology, but I don't know where to begin, what books to read, etc. Plus with all the Sagittarius, patience, defo not a virtue....

This forum looks pretty funky, I think I'll be sticking around for a while...:)

Hi Penguin-Trauma.

Welcome. :) I'm curious, what's the inspiration behind the name?

Hi Sag.

i'm also not very good with horary, in fact i'm still searching for a good book to buy..?

I'd recommend The Horary Textbook by John Frawley, which I'd say was the best introduction. If you want to get into horary, you will need a copy of William Lilly's Christian Astrology books 1 & 2.

I'd advise you to read Lilly and Frawley before others on horary, for example, Lee Lehman mentions 'strictures before judgement', which is a big misinterpretation of Lilly. If you read Lilly first, then you are informed by the highest authority, then consider other writers.

In the meantime however, Skyscript has some excellent tutorials:
