Great aspects in synastry

I was wondering if anyone had noticed specific aspects in their synastry with someone that they thought helped the relationship a lot.

Starts it out: One thing I noticed in a good relationship of mine was Jupiter <1 degree conjunct Jupiter.

Man´s sun (last degrees Gemini) trines woman´s moon (first degrees Scorpio), orb 4 deg, there is a natural and easy connection: the woman gives her support to the man who expands his activites in the outer world. Complicity.

Man´neptune (scorpio) conjuncts woman´s venus (scorpio), orb 0 degrees, the feeling of being in love, like drugged... magic. But this is a tricky aspect that must be properly handed (feet must not be too off ground).

Ah, the old chestnut about synastry.

In my experience, the best bet is to judge not only the synastry aspects but *also* the composite chart. Synastry gives you how the two players relate to one another; the composite gives you how the couple work as a couple.

My favourite example is 'the love of my life'. We had FABULOUS synastry aspects:

My Moon conjunct his Sun/Mercury.
Trined Venus (1 degree orb)
Sextiled Moons
Trined Suns
My Mars conj. his Moon (oh, the lust!!)
His Jupiter trine my Sun
My Jupiter opp. his Sun.

It was nearly a match made in heaven. The composite, however, showed a different story.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING touched Neptune in the composite chart: Sun, Moon, Mars, Saturn, Mercury.

'Soulmates' you might say. Oh, yes, most definitely. We had a connection that ran very deep, and for a number of years we actually carried on a relationship in the dreamstate, as we were separated by several thousand miles.

But in the end, we couldn't figure out what we wanted from one another OR the relationship, and floated around in fairyland for awhile before I got sick of the nebulousness and broke it off, leading to much heartbreak for both parties. You see, our *individual* charts got in the way of the *synastry* chart, and the *composite* chart was the result.

I'd highly recommend examining them all very closely, separately and together.

Oh don't worry I am considering synastry and composite in the relationship I'm currently in. This is mostly for fun.
