Hey guys, they haven't picked the final entries yet...That's on May 2nd.....Just thought I'd get this thread up so everyone has time to jump in.
;)

The race is May 5th, 2007. Post Time usually between 6:00pm & 6:10.

The ASC & MC haven't changed much in 10 years, always middle Libra ASC & Cancer MC.

Last year me and many others saw the Water Grand Trine, and assumed a watery type name. It ended up being Barbaros...This made me back check every race since 1980.

Tearing the charts apart for many hours....

I noticed the SIGN the planet the Moon LAST aspects is in (AND type of aspect), gives big clues to the winner's name. If the name is more rough & tough sounding(square/opp.), obvious to sign(trine/sextile), or a saying, something used in famous metaphors(quincunx)...goes against the astro logic, not sure why it works. :p

IF once the Moon goes out of it's current sign, it completes another aspect to a planet(ORB 4), then combine that planet's SIGN its in too.
IF the Moon is VOC, and doesn't complete any aspect within 4 Orb, it's the one with the best official odds.

BUT hindsight is 20/20...Only way to know for sure is guessing this years correct! :)

Here's the rest....."FA" will mean Final Aspect of the Moon.
" * " ones need more examination.
Fixed stars seem to effect.
Maybe the final planet's essential dignity, being in fall/exalted, etc has influence......and maybe it being Cardinal/Fixed/Multable energy of the action/saying.

Next I need to list the other contenders for each race.

2006- Barbaros
Name from the word Barbarian, a wild savage type.
FA square Pluto in Sag.
Scarier name, negatizing Sag qualities.

2005- Giacomo
FA conj. Ven in Tau.
A romantic feel to this, also GIA = gemstones?

2004- Smarty Jones
FA trine Mars in Gem.
Gemini associations with the mind.

2003- Funny Cide
VOC in Cancer..... A "Loony" sensibility?

*2002- War Emblem
Weird one here....Moon conjuncts Fixed Star Caput Algol though.
FA square Uranus in Aquarius..... Negatizing Aquarius, war being anti humanitarian?

*2001- Monarchos
FA quin. to a 29 degree Venus in Tau.
But right before that, Moon sextiled Chiron/Mars conjunction in Sag.
Maybe the conjunction enhanced the Sag (Royalty, kings) energy??

2000- Fusaichi Pegasus
VOC Moon in Gemini.
Doesn't aspect anything, but trines ASC next.
He was the top pick.

1999- Charismatic
VOC Moon in Scorpio. She did have second to worst odds, maybe indicated by being in her fall sign?
LA conj. Chiron in in Sag. Chiron is the wildcard here, he represents charisma/public appeal/cinderella stories.

1998- Real Quiet
FA quin. a 29 degree Venus in Pisces. A mute sign.
A spiritual feel. Right after, quin. Neptune in Aqu.

1997- Silver Charm
FA square Neptune in Capricorn. Right after conj. Mercury in Taurus.
So two earth signs..hmm...object of value?

1996- Grindstone
FA quin. Merc in Tau. Right after, trine Mars in Taurus.
Tough as a grindstone Taurus sure is.

1995- Thunder Gulch
FA square 29 degree Pluto in Scorpio. Right after quin. Uranus in Aqu.
Yikes! Darkerish name...

1994- Go For Gin
FA quin. Pluto in Scorp...Right after, trine Chiron in Virgo.
Addictions, liquor...healing quality?

*1993- Sea Hero
FA quin. Uranus in Aqu. Right after, sextile Mars in Leo.
Odd one....Aquarius humanitarianism.....water bearing....Leo flare for dramatic?

1992- LiL E Tee
FA sextile Mars in Pisces. Right after, sextile Chiron in Leo.
Pisces...and Leo...Hollywood?

1991- Strike the Gold
FA quin. Venus in Gemini....Venus conj. Fixed Star Al Hecka (Wealth, aggression, greed.)

1990- Unbridled
FA square Saturn in Cap. Right after, quin. Venus in Aries.
Hm..I think "unbridled ambition", headfirst energy...

1989- Sunday Silence
FA quin. Saturn in Cap. and then quin. Pluto in Scorp.
(It's the apex of the Yod) Rather spiritual, severe feel.

1988- Winning Colors
FA trine Venus in Gemini(conj. Chiron)...Right after square Uranus in Cap.
Cap Ambition, brightness of Gem

*1987- Alysheba
FA quin. Uranus in Sag.
Hmm...

1986- Ferdinand
FA square Uranus in Sag.
I expected an earth sign...Ops! This and Alysheba are really humanish names though?

1985- Spend A Buck
FA conj. Saturn in Scorp.
Association with finance, joint resources.

1984- Swale
(a swale is like a ditch used to move water so the soil will be more fertile.)
FA square Mercury in Aries, right after trines Pluto in Scorp.

1983- Sunny's Halo
FA quin. Saturn in Libra. Right before that, square Neptune in Sag & Venus in Gem. Close formation...Well it does evoke a pleasant image of a perfect, sweet, well behaved angel. :)

Hi SolarSire,
I noticed the SIGN the planet the Moon LAST aspects is in (AND type of aspect), gives big clues to the winner's name.
I just want to be sure about this: Final applaying aspect or final separate aspect?
I found your connection of Names and signs very intereseting...

Fensi- I think if it sep. & app. to 2 planets within 4 orb, you combine both....In other cases, it's final sep. aspect.
Kinda weird I know, but happy gambling! ;)

Coffee- Yes that works good too...They just don't have the natal info up for the horses yet. The previous KD thread compared all the natal aspects of the horses Moons, Suns, Mars mostly.
The ones with the most (easy or hard aspect), were very close to the real winners.

Oh cooool! Thanks C !

It ***** owners don't care about the birthtime...If I ever buy a race horse...I'd be there with a stop watch at birth. LOL

Ok I went to the website you said Coffee....

Am I looking at the right date for the birthdate?

Because 12 of them have Jan 1 2004....Help!

That's kinda strange if it is....There was a very close T-Square that day between the Sun(Native), Mars(Athletic), and Saturn(Control/Stamina).

Hi,

I thought that you guys might be interested in knowing that the post time according to my local paper is 6:04 pm in Louisville Kentucky. This gives the ASC of 15Libra 07. The Moon is between Jupiter and Pluto in Saggittarius. The Moon is at 24 Sag 09 and about an hour and a half or so past a square to Mars. Also that third house Jupiter is in a tight trine to Saturn in the 11th. The paper here in Pittsburgh ( where I'm at) is saying that Curlin is the favorite with a 7-2 odds. They also said that homegrown Street Smarts has a 4-1 odds. The track is expected to be sloppy with a 60% chance of thunderstorms and a high in the upper 70's. Blame that on the Queen as she will be at the racetrack.:D
I wonder where Curlin falls astrologically speaking. If its the same conotation as curve, then it is 3rd house. Street sense seems to also be 3rd house especially when you take in the Jupiter trine Saturn. The newspaper mentioned that the latter horse has preformed well on bad tracks. It will be interesting
