Hello,
I was wondering which houses to use if asking about teaching yoga as a career...
Would teaching come into the 9th house so I'd use this ruler as the quesited?
Or the 10th house for the career as the quesited?
I think yoga seems to be more 9th house than 10th because it is more spiritual than a straight forward career...
Or would it come under the 11th house because it is something to give to society?
Or even 6th house, to do with healing and work?
Maybe I need to just meditate upon which house would be the best one to represent the question subject.
But any views would be welcome! :) :) :)

Why not look to see if there is any aspect or reception between the Lord of the 9th and the Lord of the 10th? If so it will show a relationship between Yoga and Career. The type of aspect will show the difficulty level in obtaining the desire. Sextiles and Trines show easy accomplishments with that path, squares show difficulties but in the end results, and oppositions show the opposite of the desired outcome. In a good reception, it will come easier, a weak reception, difficulties and no reception, well I think thats obvious. Yoga is the path in which one achieves union with God and therefore the 9th House is the perfect House for that signification. Hope that helps!

Thanks indeed for that! The 9th was the first house that came to mind regards yoga.
May I ask, if the part of fortune sits in the 9th house, 4/5 degrees away from the MC, would that be a good sign? Even though the moon is about to square it as its first applying aspect?

Look to both the ninth and the tenth. You could go straight to the tenth, but it's wise to look at the ninth as well.
The ninth will represent your quality of knowledge of yoga. The tenth will show what you can do with that knowledge in the outer world.
In the most ideal circumstance, you want to see both planets ruling these cusps and the first in good dignity and applying to aspect, preferably an easy one. Some sort of beneficial reception would help a lot as well, and failing an aspect, translation or collection of light will do it, albeit indirectly.
If you have the data, bring it up if you like.

Many Thanks Draco!
Here is a bit of background. I've been practicing yoga 17 years, taught myself from a book, took a yoga teacher training course a couple of years ago but have only taught a few friends since then. I think my teaching skills may be rusty. I have an office day job - their ethic is somewhat opposite to yoga ethics but I need the money to get my yoga mats for teaching, insurance and other things. I have realised I'll need to go over my old notes and brush up on my skills, and teach a few friends to get some practice before I can teach a stranger, so I don't think I'm ready at the moment but I really hope to get myself together to teach in the future.
I've been wondering how hard it will be to stop working in the office to teach yoga, worried about that step.
I've been looking at this chart for a few days now, figuring it out  , here it is...

Asc 8 Sag (my natal is 10 Sag)
Me = Jupiter retro in 1st hse, 19 Sag (Jupiter is strong in own house)
Yoga teaching = Mercury in 4th hse, 19 Aries (both angular strong houses)
Mercury is in its own terms.
Jupiter is in Saturn's terms.
Jupiter retro - I have to brush up on old teaching skills.
Saturn is up there in the 8th trining both. I'm not sure what Saturn and Jupiter have to do with each other and why Juptier (me) is in Saturn's terms. Is this a collection of light, someone who may help me later on?
Moon = 7th hse, 2 Cancer
Moon is strong, angular house, own sign, in Jupiters exhaltation  I like yoga??
According to my programme the trine Jupiter/Mercury is exact
It looks like yoga and me go well together from that trine.
Mercury in 4th, I do yoga at home and would like to teach people in their homes, privately.
Jupiter is in the sign of Mercury's detriment  I'm unsure what this means.
Partof Fortune in 9th house, I read it is strong in Libra. That could be lucky.
It all goes a bit downhill when I look at the 10th house.:(
Ruler of 10th = Venus. Venus in 7th hse, 11 Gemini peregrine.
Mercury (yoga) is in sign of Venus's detriment.
Venus is in Mercury's house, so Venus (career) wants something from Mercury's house (yoga teaching) - could this be a good sign, urmm..
Venus is in Jupiters terms, face and sign of Jupiter's detriment - this "terms/face" still confuses me. If it's Jupiters (my) terms Venus is in, am I open to having a 'career' in yoga?
Strong Moon!!
Next aspect square Part of Fortune
semi-sextile Venus whilst trining Mars (ruler of 4th, end of matter)
semi-sextile Saturn/square Mercury
Money matters will be a challenge, I would probably charge lower than the going rate because I'm still a new teacher.
It does look positive with the Venus (career) semi-sextile, trining Mars. Mars is in 3rd house, I have to get communicating, advertising myself. But it looks like I have something to give to society (10th house)
I'm stumped who Saturn is, apart from the bringer of tough, necessary lessons! :D Moon s/sextiling Saturn then square Mercury, this looks like a rough patch. But squares work themselves out inthe end.
I forgot - end of matter ruler Mars is Applying to conjunction with North Node in 3rd. I definately need to communicate/advertise myself.
Grateful for any tips :)
