Hi Everyone,
I've been practicing horary for a while now, and I've been wondering about the moon being combust or conjunct the sun.
Now, what if one of the main sigs is actually Leo, the sun, wouldn't that be a positive indicator, and the combustion would just indicate the fiery nature of question/situation?
Thanks Blandy

A New Moon (Moon conj Sun) in a horary is *always* negative, no matter what. First Lilly says Have speciall regard to the strength and debility of the Moon, and it’s farre better the Lord of the Ascendant be unfortunate then she, for she brings unto us the strength and vertue of all the other Planets, and of one Planet to another.and then he says In all Questions, know there’s not so great an affliction to the Moon, as when she is in Conjunction with the SUN; the ill aspects of the infortunes doth much afflict her, but none so powerfull as her Combustion. One of the reasons being that, even if the Sun is a significator, the Moon is the 'fuel' of the chart, its heart; it represents the energy, movement, and outcome of a chart. The Moon is burned up in the light of the Sun. Always. It's not just fiery: it's crash and burn.
Hope this helps.
