View Full Version : A natal yod of odds

Hi there! thanks for dropping by and showing an interest in Yods and natal charts!
Here is a natal birthchart (looks like a see-saw, doesn't it?) that has a yod.
June 1, 1984, at 2:42 AM.
St. Martinville, Louisiana.
female. (if you enter this at http://www.astro.com _)
or if you prefer a direct link,
But it's a complicated little yod.
Neptune is at the midheaven, in Capricorn.
Uranus is starting at the 9th house, in Sagittarius (if this really has anything afterall to be in a traditional yod, it happens to be sandwiched in between with a semisextile with Neptune and Saturn/Mars).
Saturn and Mars are conjunct, and begin in the 8th house, in Scorpio.
Sounds complicated yet?
They all point to the Sun in the third house, in gemini. Jupiter, Saturn and Mars share a quincunx with the sun, and Uranus is opposing the Sun altogether.
But the sun also happens to be conjunct with Venus, the true node, AND chiron, all in the third house in gemini.
Can anyone make sense of this?
Especially considering that the chart has several planets (Mars to Pluto) in retrograde?
If not, maybe you can still analyze something that sticks out to you in the chart? Have fun! :)

This looks like a Boomerang from the North node (future goals) to Uranus (friends, also rebellion) conjunct (energy is combined with) South node (the past) focused in the 9th (expansion, also knowledge) and 8th house (transformation, also research). This indicates that working towards North node goals can result in "boomeranging" back into some type of knowledge rebellion. The goal is to get the values (North node in the 2nd house) and details (near the 3rd house), but the pull of the "big picture" and research keep the details confused.

There clearly is a see saw pattern here with the South-Southwest side the heavy half. It looks lie a teenager trying to play with a 5 year old without moving forward on the see saw to balance the weight. I don't think you can properly assess the yod without taking into account the interception and resultant 4 houses ruled by just 2 signs. This is because Jupiter is a player in the yod and rules one side of the interception.
The intercepted axis involves analysis vs. synthesis, the ability to pick apart the facts, separating from fiction, and then synthesize them within the context of the whole. Because an imbalance here has been brought into this life to correct, Cancer-Capricorn has double power. This axis is home vs. state, balancing family and career or the flow of instinctual feelings vs the need for self-discipline.
I have no idea if this chart is male or female but I'll share what came into my mind as I looked at it, then you can addapt it to the reality of the person. I see light shining on the feminine Venus, an attraction. I see Mars-Saturn saying yes-no, yes-no, with an opportunity to go too far (sextile Jupiter). Add to that the confusion and vagary with Moon opposing Neptune, along witht he possibility of deception brought before the public and someone could very easily end up in prison. Many men now carry the label of sexual predator with much less than this. There is a clear need to use discernment in interpreting other's communications. Mercury and Venus will help each other, being in Mutual reception but the scales are clearly heavy on the other side. The other person's word carries more weight. Figuring out how to bring that weight forward so the teeter toter is more balanced will go a long way. In looking at my ephemeris, I see that all the planets on the other side are Rx. Here the key may be research into the past. Let's say that there is a false accusation. Research into the accusors past may reveal a history of accusing men that can be helpful in exposing the truth. Here you would be bringing the past (Rx) forward so the weight is more balanced.
Another theme this could bring in is a lack of faith (12 interception) because of misuse of the facts by those in authority (Capricorn with double rulership). Again, research, bringing the past forward, would expose the truth.
I have an article on interceptions (http://www.geocities.com/aquarianessence/intercept.html) you might like to read. All the best to you.

The astrology weekly chart is incorrect. The longitude in the chart is listed as "East" and should be "West". Anyone using the astrology weekly chart should make sure that the "West" longitude is chosen.

I just ran the chart with Kepler and it shows 5Aries rising with Pisces intercepted in the 12th so I think the chart is right even though it says east.

When you click on the link provided by grip to the astrology weekly chart, it creates a chart with Libra rising. This is because the longitude is "East" instead of "West". The Aries rising chart you created from Kepler is correct but the astrology weekly chart is not.

Oh, ok. I saw the same interception and planets in the same area and thought it was the same chart.

I'm sorry fi the astro weekly chart was not correct. I could have sworn that I checked it well enough to make sure that it was accurate. I felt that something was wonky with that website which was why I included the birth information for astro.com just in case. I personally like using astro.com as a tool.
The chart belongs to a female. Infact, the chart is mine! :p
I am by no means an advanced expert on Astrology, I guess you guys would think I'm a novice at it but I know more than your average person because it's a fun interest/hobby for me. You guys are good at this stuff!
Wilson's interpretation that I tend to get lost in the "big picture" versus values and details does describe what I'm interested in. I don't do "details" well. I love to look in the "big picture" of things instead because life is complicated as it is, and time is precious enough as it is. I feel like my attempts to do "details" in life drain my energy and my passion so much, I don't know why. My interests are choppy and short-lived, and so is my passion.
Aquarian, wow your post was great. I haven't ever been to jail before, I sure hope I never will... it scares me to think about it now because recently I have an uncle who recently is in jail now and he's probably innocent. It just seems like it is SO EASY to get into prison even if you aren't the obligatory "mean person who hurts other people".
I've actually been a victim before, in serious ways that is probably not polite to mention on a public forum. But in other ways, I've been victimized by being accused of things that I DIDN'T do, only for everyone else to agree with THE OTHER person!! For example, in 6th grade, I was accused of spilling a drink on the floor of a fast food restaurant which made a huge mess. But actually, it was one of my adversaries who did that when he stole my seat. But the entire 6th grade class pointed their fingers not at him, but at ME!! Another example is when a jerk punched me in the face in 7th grade, the entire class laughed at me, the teacher wanted me to drop the case and be quiet about it, and even the principal wanted to tell me that although he'll send the jerk home for two days, that I deserved to get punched in the face! I didn't try to start any fight or nothing.
I think with that said, I think the universe and people have a natural tendancy to hate me the moment they see me. There's something wrong with me. First impressions tend to make people think lowly of me, only for me to work with them and later on prove to them how valuable my work is.
I'm physically ugly (This is one of the worse issues I have in my life). But I think there's an added dimension to that... there's just... some kind of energy that is making people want to avoid me, think lower about me, and hate me and they don't even know me! I can project confidence, and I can put make up on. I can lose 30 lbs. It seems to make NO DIFFERENCE!! :(
I therefore, don't think people understand me. I'm apparently not communicating well enough to people to make them respect me as a truly sentient individual worth of dignity and respect just like everyone else. My dad still thinks I am way less intelligent, talented, gifted, etc than I really am. It's demoralizing.
If looking into the past is going to help solve the problem, then that means that I am not purposefully doing anything wrong. It means that people do not understand me and that people do not WANT to like me. How can I change something like that?
It's like.. I don't belong on Earth.
Maybe there's something in the chart that helps me understand these things.

Gottagrip...interesting name with your need to hold on as you sit on the high side of that teeter totter. As you embrase the Virgo details you'll begin to notice other people don't form opinions based on just the vague Pisces fog. I haven't. They'll be able to see all of the parts that make up you, not just 1st impression outer appearance. You do belong on earth, believe me.
Did either your incident or your uncle's happen during 2003-2004?
Your interception is a challenge and gift you've set up for youself by being born at the time you were. You will balance this axis during your lifetime, guarenteed. While it's obvious you carry with you a sense of shame, there is no reason to. Shame is only productive if there is a necessary change that it will trigger. After that, it's usefulness is over and needs to be let go of or it will hinder growth. I'm sure if you are objective you will see that you have a lot to be proud of. I notice you said you must not communicate right, showing a focus on your Venus-Sun. Notice the opposition to Uranus. That is where your genius lies, embrase it and intigrate it. Use your imagination to see the duality of words and body language. If someone stands with crossed arms protecting their chest when talking with you, realize that while it could be interpreted as closing you off because they don't like you, it could be that they are mirroring your need to protect yourself, or feeling that no one would want to connect with you through the heart or they could be displaying their own sense of self esteem, that they aren't worthy of a heart attachment.
Because of the interception there is a deficiency shown on the 4th/10th cusp. This involves boundaries and a lack of boundaries. Cancer is about unconditional love, no boundaries, very similar to Pisces. Her only protection is her hard shell which she wears on her outside, sort of like wearing clothes to protect from the elements. Body fat is another form of protection we may put on to protect us or to put more distance between us and others. Our choice of clothing can either invite or repel advances.
Capricorn is our limits and boundaries, where we draw the line. If Capricorn isn't used at all others can violate us. If he is overused it also puts distance between us and others and eventually puts the misplaced energy into arthritic deposits, blocked arteries, etc. He is our support system through the skelatal structure. They say that a victim lacks boundaries. A young girl who has been victimized may continue the cycle of victimization by the way she dresses or talks showing a lack of boundaries, inviting further victimization. On the other hand, too many boundaries or the wrong kind keep others out preventing real relationship. The person labeled the predator may also lack boundaries, not having established his own healthy understanding of "me vs. you". He may not be able to read the mixed signals given to him by another and may cross the boundaries considered acceptable by society and the "victim".
You said, "I feel like my attempts to do "details" in life drain my energy and my passion so much, I don't know why. My interests are choppy and short-lived, and so is my passion." What I think is really dranining your passion is the 4/10 axis. The deficiency here is projected onto 5/11, your passion and your ability to give and receive love. Parents should encourage improvement and praise strengths, not tear down their self esteem. If they can't do that then you need to put emotional distance between you. You need to form some boundaries for yourself. This may be where Venus-Sun opposite Uranus comes in. While we are all one, sometimes a temporary separation of some sort is necessary as we grow and learn.
Look at different ways you project boundaries or lack of, with others and see if what I'm saying makes sense. And don't be concerned about loosing interest in things quickly, that is the nature of Gemini. He does best if he has multiple projects going on so that he doesn't loose interest prematurely. That way he can keep coming back and continue where he left off, then move on to the next when he tires of it. Gemini rules my 11th. I have several group astrology forums I frequent along with several research and writing projects in process.
