Hi, I am a newbie and wanted to see if I could get your opinion regarding my upcoming gastric bypass surgery. My health suffers tremendously due to my excess weight, its hard for me to walk, clean house, exercise or do anything for that matter. I’ve been working at getting this surgery for many years since 2000. In my heart I know that everything will be fine, but I do have a Capricorn ascendant (doubt). To me the aspects look good with Saturn trining my Sun, moon, mars, etc. Pluto has been worrying me being conjunct my sign, but could definitely be a regenerating aspect. Jupiter, believe it or not has me a little worried, as I’ve previously read, “look to your Jupiter for death aspects”. And it is right on my sun in my 12th house, in Sagittarius.
My main worry is that I’ll have complications, lose my job (which I adore). I work for 5 radio stations in the accounting department. It is a pleasure to come to work everyday and I really mean that, the people are nice and there are a lot of perks working in radio.
Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hi Deb,

I'll have a closer look at your chart in a bit; I just wanted to say a couple things.

First, as a Sagittarius myself, you might consider the Pluto/Jupiter aspects, not as *death* aspects, but as an aspect of *rebirth*. I don't know about you, but Pluto has really packed a whallop in my own chart (I'm a 26 degree Sadge); with the Jupiter conjunction coming up I am fully expecting to be vaulted into a new existence (I am moving overseas again and making several other big decisions right now; scary but exciting!).

Second, gastric bypass surgery is a big, big deal. I am wishing you in advance all the best of luck with it, as it isn't an easy decision to make! But I was wondering: did you have any dates planned for the surgery? This might be a good time to look at elective astrology, to judge the best time for surgery as major as this. We want you to have every success!

I'll feed back some other stuff soon, as I'm sure others will.

Best wishes,
AG:)

Thank you AG for your response and hello to a fellow archergirl. Actually, surgery is imminent, I'm just waiting for my doctor's office to call with the pre-op date (for blood tests, etc). I've been going back and forth so long with this because I couldn't quit smoking after 38 years, but I've finally was able to do so with the help of the new medicine, Chantix. It definitely worked for me. I'm smoke free for 57 days and that is coming from a 2 pack a day smoker. When I do have dates I'll post them. Good luck on your future journey.

This is your birth chart? You should cast an Election chart for your surgery date and time, that is the only way to figure out if it will be without complications.
