Hi All!

I've enjoyed Astrology for decades having studied since I was in my early teens from my godmother. Sometimes I even wonder if I'm not so much learning things as I feel I'm discovering knowledge from within particularly when it comes to Astrology. This is the first place I've seen reference to prenatal eclipses as I was taught. I have a deep interest in aspect configurations as well as indicators of particular interests and abilities in the unusual and the paranormal. Too, by the time I was easily able to manage a chart work had been done on Chiron so I have a strong fascination there particularly as it seems to be one of my most aspected planets if included. I also should say the lesser used aspects intrigue me and I enjoy 5th and 7th harmonic aspects and their meanings as well as finding them in others charts. As a ghost hunter I know a number of other ghost hunters and as well psychics and mediums. Their astrological indicators fascinate me as well. Sadly much of the research I found on the net was lost in an unavoidable destructive recovery of my computer.

I've had my own psychic and mediumistic occurrences and the home I currently live in is haunted. I would prefer to be out because my wife and children are also sensitive yet don't have the personal defenses I built up long ago. Too, the teens are difficult to convince of the very real inconveniences of the paranormal even though they are bothered by it every week. Their social lives are more important to them. No surprises there.

What makes me different than the usual Astrologer is that I don't let most people in my personal life know because I'm also a bi-vocational minister trained as a baptist and ordained non denominationally. That causes my own headache with the kids and the wife at times because they don't see the congruity inherent in understanding life from many different viewpoints. (My N.Node is in Gemini. Several threads I've read had interesting things to say about nodes) I'd love to understand how you guys link your charts to your profiles. Maybe when I'm not so distracted it will show itself.

I look forward to getting to know some of you and learning from some and sharing as well. Ciao!

Hi Soul Friend. Nice to meet you. :)

Nobody popped in to say hi? :( I'm surprised. I think it's that most of us tend to zip straight to the more popular boards such as natal and horary astrology, and so we forget to greet newbies at times.

I think we ought to be more observant of the introduction board.

Hello Draco,

So very kind of you to take the time to be neighborly. And all the way from across the pond. Can I suppose that you are a blend of sociability and spiritually responsibility for moving astrology forward through keeping the circle of knowledge open and connected with a flow that supports growth? Your cited signature quote and comments create an honorable reputation.

I too am fascinated by symbolism. I see you are interested in male creatures. That's interesting. In a world often devaluing both male and female gender it is good for us all to do what we can to recover the purity of what is understood as male and female and we astrologers and those intrigued by myth are each better equipped to not only study but preserve the understanding of what gender is. What led you to your interest? I see you're also interested in myth and its creation. I've actually toyed with the idea of using that concept to do a short story or two in the past.

Thanks for the "Welcome". It's a pleasure to be here and I look forward to getting to know folks in the network and enjoying the circular growth of experience and knowledge so we might all benefit.

Ciao!

Hi again Soul Friend.

Can I suppose that you are a blend of sociability and spiritually responsibility for moving astrology forward through keeping the circle of knowledge open and connected with a flow that supports growth?

Well, it would certainly be nice to think so. :)

Your cited signature quote and comments create an honorable reputation.

Thankyou, nice of you to say, although I'm sure my reputation around here has been less than honourable at times, but my Moon on Regulus quite likes that idea. ;)

I too am fascinated by symbolism.

For me, there is no thing that is not or can not be regarded a symbol, and everything definately means something, everything can be 'read', all things are omens, if we learn the neccesary alphabets of symbolism. The direction in which a bird flies across your path, the type of bird it is, whether it is singing at the time or not: it all means something, it's all symbolic, everything does, but only to those who have the eyes to see and the inclination to observe.

Astrology, I feel, is the most wonderful mechanism of symbolism that humanity possesses, or will ever possess. I feel privelaged to be among those who were gifted with the inclination to explore her.

I see you are interested in male creatures.

What led you to your interest?

Yes, I seem to remember writing that at some time. Well, I think my sexuality might have something to do with it, and my own native Mars is rather powerful, being in Scorpio. I'm interested in the planet Mars in general, not the most fashionable planet it seems, but greatly intriguing to me. I'm quite into the malefic planets in general and the charts of criminals, which are usually men. With astrology, I focused almost exclusively upon horary in the past, but now I'm seeking to broaden my perspective and get into natal, and when I find my legs with it, I think it's the charts of criminals that will be my main focus of interest.

I've actually toyed with the idea of using that concept to do a short story or two in the past.

So you write? Latently, I know I have the ability of a good writer, but like an English teacher once said to me, 'you totally lack confidence in getting your ideas down', which is a problem I'm having with getting into natal interpretations as well I think, lacking confidence.

Me too. :)

(I can't explain the varience in size of my text, most annoying to this Saturnian Virgo :o ).
