I have decided to create a thread to commemorate Molly Ivins, whom I unfortunately did not learn about until her death was broadcast in the news recently.

An inspirational quote can be found in my signature:

"“So keep fightin’ for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don’t you forget to have fun doin’ it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin’ *** and celebratin’ the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.”
~ Molly Ivins, 1944 - 2007

According to the Wikipedia article about Molly Ivins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molly_Ivins), she was born on August 30, 1944 in Monterey, California, and died on January 31, 2007 in Austin, Texas. I will attempt to find an accurate birth time to post a chart with angles, yet for now, this hypothetical chart set for noon will have to do.

EDIT: Astrodatabank (http://www.astrodatabank.com/NM/IvinsMolly.htm) gives a birth time of 10:12 AM, yet this site's accuracy is sometimes disputed, so I will attempt to find the information using other sources. It also gives her time of death at 5:24 PM local time "according to the Texas Star-Telegram," a source I will research online if possible.

I found her so inspirational, and felt so sad when she died.

There is a nice article with some of her humor at http://www.thoughttheater.com/2007/01/molly_ivins_dies_from_breast_cancer_at_62.php

And astrologer Caroline Casey dedicated one of her Visionary Activism radio shows to her memorium at http://157.22.130.4/data/20070201-Thu1400.mp3

Astrodatabank gives the 10.12 birth time a 'AA' rating, as the data is taken from a 'birth certificate in hand'.

I would trust the data, as Astrodatabank is particular about sourcing their data and using a ratings system to weight the accuracy of such according to the reliability of it's source.

As this data is taken straight from the birth certificate, it is considered the most reliable form of data, even more so than a mother's memory, which even then is a 'A'.
