Could someone please tell me what it means if two birds fly up to you and peck you in the head? It all started early one morning when I was walking out of Wal-Mart. As I was going to my car a black bird flew up to me and pecked me in the head and flew away. I rubbed my head and watched as it flew away. Then, as I continued to walk to my car, all of a sudden another black bird came and pecked me on the head again!! After that I started running to my car hoping that I wouldn't trip and fall.
Is there any meaning to this?? Or was the birds just trying to gather up enough hair to make a nest??

Thanks,

Henrietta

Birds will attack for hair. More likely, they felt you were a danger. I watch the crows attack my cat's head is she is near one of their nests or if a baby has fallen and they are trying to protect it from preditors. Having raised parrots and cockatiels, most unexplained attacking came from territorial issues.

Probably trying to gather material for the nest.
In omenology, the type of bird(s) involved would make a difference. Birds were generally taken to represent spiritual beings, spirituality, the element (and elementals) of the Air, etc...

In his book "healing mantras" author Thomas Ashley Farrand describes his experience with crows and how they formed an "early warning system" for him. He says that "I found that I could see a crow doing something, change my course of action, and avoid an unpleasant experience".

"There have been instances when I would be speeding on the freeway and a crow would wheel in front of me. I instinctively knew that this meant a radar trap or a police car coming up. Now whenever I am driving and see a crow, I slow down and become very cautious. Invariably a police car will glide into view, lurking in the far right lane waiting for unsuspecting speeders like myself."

Yes. Birds do represent 'Spiritual Entities' in symbology..especially the Sabian Symbols.
Some where in this forum i wrote about a bird that pecked at all the windows at my apt. for over a month every day immediately after my mother died last year. The capper is is that this bird was an Eastern Blue Jay...one that is not seen or known to exist west of the Rocky Mts. ...and I live in No. Calif.

...Crows though, are a 'bird of another feather'... they are suspect in 'my book'...read about the 'Caim' ...that is if you can find anything on the subject... I'm not going to write about it though... don't want to 'Feed' that...

I would like to thank everyone for your reply regard my bird attack. I do want to mention that one of my cousin died exactly one week after I had my bird attack. I'm not saying that the birds were bad luck or anything like that though. But again, thanks for all of your comments, they have been very helpful.

I recall that the author, Carlos Castenanda, had some things to say about crows and 'warnings'...my brother, whom is way more into that sort of 'occult' knowledge, concurred with what Carlos wrote on the subject...or for the most part, best as I can recollect those books [which I read in the '70s] and the conversation my brother and I had back in '84.

Well, I couldn't help myself from trying to track down info on the 'Caim'... What was on the internet some years ago has apparently disappeared.
But, I did mange to find this..I hadn't heard of this description/explanation before...but it's not too dis-similar from what I read about 10 years ago...although in this link, the 'Caim', is identified with a 'Thrush' ... which is not of the same type of bird as a crow.
