View Full Version : The European Union and Astrology
I came across this text in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_flag), with reference to the European Flag and I thought to share this with you:
On 25 October 1955 the Parliamentary Assembly made the unanimous decision to adopt a circle of gold stars on a blue background as an emblem. On 8 December 1955 the Committee of Ministers adopted this as the European flag. "Against the blue sky of the Western world, the stars represent the peoples of Europe in a circle, the symbol of unity. Their number shall be invariably set at twelve, the symbol of completeness and perfection ... just like the twelve signs of the zodiac represent the whole universe, the twelve gold stars stand for all peoples of Europe – including those who cannot as yet take part in building up Europe in unity and peace."
So interesting! Comments?
Hi Radu,
I must admit astrology is my weakest interest, but sacred geometry is my first love, Many flags have adopted the "Five pointed Star", and the original Egyptian Hieroglyphics for Sirius was a five pointed star, a half circle or dome, and a shape like an Egyptian obelisk or shape what astrologers would know as a "finger of God".
Many religious doctrines now have shortened this to a pentagon or pentacle as both are the same, dont be fooled by the French occultist, Eliphas Levi, who put a goats head in a reversed pentacle, this did a great deal of damage in peoples perceptions of this sacred symbol.
In sacred geometry the pentacle is sacred in line with the teachings of Keplar, Pythagoras and Plato, and is even studied today in astro-physics, as up to today information from space suggests that the Cosmos is a Dodecahedron (12 pentagons joined like a football).
Interestingly we have all owned wrist watches that show only 3, 6, 9, and 12, symbolic of the four angles, and there is a great deal of evidence that the clock face is modelled on the astrology wheel and 12 digits.
Even minutes and seconds are the same in time and astrology, so the European flag is very symbolic by design or chance!
Who knows....
As so many flags have five pointed stars attached, i'm leaving a link to a web-site to who i consider a master of sacred geometry.

Thanks for the reply. I don't believe in chance but it is little likely that these symbols (the 5-pointed star, the 12 stars as the 12 zodiacal signs) were chosed for their occult meanings. It could be just a tribute paid to the ancient culture of Europe, when scientists were also interested and involved in esoteric subjects, as you said. All stars are supposed to have two points at the bottom and one at the top, as it should be for this to be a benefic symbol.
Hi Radu,
Thank you for your reply, Plato is responsible for the five shapes in sacred geometry, being the Tetrahedron, having a triangle base forming a three sided pyramid, representing "Fire".
The Hexahedron, Being a cube, representing "Earth"
The Octahedron, being a square based pyramid joined by the the square of its base, making two, representing "Air".
The Icosahehdron, representing " Water".
The Fifth platonic solid was the Dodecahedron being 12 pentagons joined like a football, representing the "Universe or Cosmos".
Being more a psychic than an Astrologer, i'm sad that religious feelings has developed into aggression during the ages, thus so much research has been lost.
We may think the platonic solids are child like, but maybe Pythagoras was correct in analysis that the Universe is represented by 12 Pentagons joined like a football.
Study in just astrology leaves us thinking that a grand quintile is a fixed energy shape, so we look to which way it is up, to determine if it is good or bad.
The Grand Quintile is a Pentacle enclosed at the points by a pentagon, in astrology we value this by quintiles, and bi-quintiles, but in sacred geometry it isnt a fixed energy shape...it is like a Grand Trine, which is half of a Grand sextile.
In sacred geometry we need two Grand Quintiles aligned 36* apart, that gives 3D imaging, because it gives 10 points within a circle of 360 degrees.
So what does two Grand Quintiles give us aligned perfectly?
Having ten points, we can use A) the decile 36*, B) the quintile 72* C) the tredecile 108* D) the bi-quintile 144* and E) the opposition 180*.
When this structure is drawn correctly we will get a 3D image of the dodecahedron at its centre as displayed on attachment.
We can now take the observations of Plato and Pythagoras into cutting edge technology of the 21st Century, although i must admit there is debate, please view attachment from Physicsweb!
Hi Radu,
Being disabled, means that i have cut flags out of a 1950's book to put on attachment, a lot have now changed, yet i have missed out a lot that include one five pointed star or many, including the United States and China.
Please view attachment one.
Please view attachment 2, with flags that have five pointed stars.
I'm sorry these flags come from 1950/60's but i think 42 proves that the pentacle or five pointed star is important, i can give further pages of flags if you wish?
Please view page 3 on attachment.
Warm regards Monk.
