Thanks to wintersprite1's post, I was able to collect the correct information for a chart.

The ruler of the chart is Mars (appropriate based off of the Sun Sign of Speaker Pelosi) and is in the ninth house conjunct the cusp. The Moon is strong in Cancer and in the angular fourth house, wherein it receives accidental dignity, however, unfortunately, it is VOC! Does this means nothing new will develop, despite the Aries/Cardinal Asc?

I went over to the US Senate website and found the following information that may clarify the date and time.

"Thursday, Jan 4, 2007
12 p.m.: Convene the first session of the 110th Congress."

That info would include both the House and Senate.

Oh, thank you very much, I'll edit my introductory post to include this chart and dispose of the two incorrect ones. Odd though, that the Wikipedia page said that the third was the switchover date. Oh well, better to trust the Senate's page. I'm at school right now, and the photobucket site is blocked... Not that I use the forums at school or anything...

Thank you again!

well, one should expect much to change since there's no difference of those with power ... key point example, my lovely senator reid, now majority "leader", from the state of nevada ...

all he cares about is harry reid and the deals he can make, and he and the republican senator ensign do a lot of them do you know how much gold and silver there still are in 'dem thar hills' ... not to mention becoming the nuclear waste dumping capitol of the world?!

and, did he bother to help jimmy carter's son jack carter, the democratic senate candidate get elected ... NO! even though the incumbant republican didn't even run ... there wasn't a billboard or even a television commercial for the guy ... the republican won ... why? they don't want real change ... just a perception of change, so that they can make some bigger deals for 'their' guys rather than halliburton getting all the deals. the democrats spent more $$ defeating the R.I. republican sentator that actually OPPOSED Bush and the war, than they did to HELP a democrat, jack carter, GET elected in nevada. CRAZY!

i suspect its going to back fire on them, given that uranus in the 12th house and the saturn/neptune opposition in involving the 5th/11th house.

Remember, I am just a novice at with charts.... PLEASE feel free to post any corrections and point out any mistakes I am making!! :)

What I noticed immediately was that Mercury and the Sun are conjunct on the MC. We should be seeing leadership and some real movement from the congress. I would suspect there will be powerful legislation in the area of Universal Health Care, because of Venus conjunct Chiron in the 11th house. Neptune is also placed in the 11th. I also suspect that Reproductive rights will come into question and will not fair well. The Moon in the 4th opposing Venus. In addition Saturn trines Pluto/Mars (restrictions in concern with life/death and surgery.) And we also see Uranus in the 12th sextile Sun/Mercury/MC... It would look promising for Mental Health.

What ever happens, it looks productive, but also appears to hinder the "Feminine" principle.

I was afraid the Combust Mercury would make the health issues invisible, since Mercury rules the sixth house. It also rules the third, so...maybe it shows the lack of communication within the Senate or perhaps the lack of communication between the people and their Senators.

Reflecting back on my previous comment on the VOC Moon, I wonder if it being so strong and VOC is an indicator of the current issue of homeland security. Void of Course Moons usually show that nothing producting will occur, so it makes me wonder of the homeland security issue won't be getting any better in the next two years.

Would this be also be reflected in Saturn (Leo/5th) trine Mars/Pluto in Sag 9th house? A continued Martial philosophy? Would Saturn Represent the current administration and Veto powers?

Right on the mark of my thought process!

I figured the Mars and Pluto placements in the ninth would represent our overseas trouble. Almost immediately it brings about the idea of Saudi Arabia (being that Mars is defined as "hot and dry"). The tenth house is a higher up, I'm assuming the President, and I'm hoping the mutually applying Trine is showing the attempt of the President and the new Democratic Senate to get along. I hope it works out, as there aren't any bad aspects to get in the way. I am, however, worried about the mutually applying opposition between Saturn and Neptune...any thoughts?

The reasons I felt that Saturn represented the "presidency", would include that Saturn is the planet of the "Father". Also the 10th is ruled by Saturn, not only in a solar chart, but in this one in particular also. The fifth house is ruled by Leo ( the king in the animal world;) ) So, using that as the premis the opposition to Neptune is no surprise. Anyone that follows the news knows that this president has been dishonest often and almost delusional in publicly stating opinion contrary to facts. Notice that Neptune sextiles Mars? (ooh, 9th house overseas...ahhhh now I get it...)

FYI George's Sun sign is 13Cancer49 and the Asc is 18Leo50 Me 9Leo52, Ve 21Leo33 and Pl 10Leo35

I was thinking along similar lines for Saturn being the President, the traditional detriment of this planet makes me laugh, thinking of how Bush must feel being surrounded by Democrats on all sides, showing that he can have all of his vetos overridden.

I didn't notice the Mars/Neptune Sextile until you pointed it out, but I'm hoping that the Seperation between the aspects points to some good, that and, it's a Sextile, which means it's not bad...hopefully. An eleventh/ninth sextile could be interesting to see, as the eleventh is friends and the ninth being foregin affairs. Though, I hope it doesn't mean we're going to get blown out of the water by friends of Iraq!
