Hi All

I like to partake in a smoke of weed now and then and have been toying with the idea of growing my own so I don't have to be involved in the wider 'drugs' world, I have looked extensively at what one needs to do in order to this in a safe and secure manner. The original question I asked was "Should I grow my own marijuana", however caught up within that question was whether I would be caught by the police (or anyone else for that matter) as it is currently illegal where I live. So I wanted to know will I be sucessful in growing my own and not get caught!:38:

interesting question and i'm no horary expert ... but sun in the 12th house near conjunct the ascendent (the house of prisons, among other things) with neptune and saturn opposing (dealing with the 2nd and 8th houses yikes!) ... i would say ... not now, anyway. the "getting caught" aspect of your question was answered quite clearly, but the other part of your question was actually quite positive in the affirmative. there's a structure that is opposed to your beliefs, and having the structure in the 8th house can prove to be a formidable opponent, and something you probably don't want to deal with on that level.

for now, look for a medicine person versus a drug dealer ... there's a big difference ... start asking those who you know, especially, your local herbalists ... those that use more than just marajuana for healing and growth. you can do it safe and outside the criminal element, but be picky who your source is and really feel your way to your 'pharmacist' ... it is a drug and you want to get it from someone who respects and understands it in its medicinal ways and how to use it for your growth and development. if you can't get it, it may just be a time in your cycle to be unmedicated and keep learning ... they're times for that too. there is a deep connection between you and the question which is why i am suggesting this path ... you may find yourself a teacher and a mentor to become a pharmacist as well.

i suspect, though, if you are still so inclined, once you learn more about it, there will be a time to grow it for yourself and perhaps to help heal others as well.

Police officers and such are the tenth house, ruling the tenth house is Venus, which is in your first house in her own terms, I don't think this is good and if that's true, would point to you being caught.

However, since there's really no connection between Venus and Jupiter, I'm not for sure. There is a tight, seperating semi-sextile between the two, perhaps this is enough to signify you being caught. I think it's also interesting that Pluto (the sign ruling the eleventh house) is combust on the Ascendant, perhaps this shows that your friend, or whoever you draw this from, will be caught as well.

Your significator is also conjunct Mars, which isn't fortunate.

Tenth house does indeed rule "authority" in general but Mars and Pluto, 8th house generally rule cops, crime.

I think the eighth would be the drugs themselves. Lilly uses the term "poisons", and I believe this covers it. However, there is no word used in his paragraph that could be taken as "cop". Unlike the tenth house, within whose paragraph resides the term "officer" twice.

Very true, I much enjoy how Neptune is in Aquarius (an air sign, and thus indicitive of air toxificiations, such as smoking any substance), in the second house. I think that's very comical.

But here I am digressing and dragging the thread along with me. Perhaps a more talented and practiced horarist could supply a better answer, I try not to go outside my "comfort zone" with the Electional/Event charts, but I felt confident that I could read the chart okay. I hope I did.

Actually, it just occured to me that Mars is a cosignificator for the tenth house. Mars conjuncts your significator Jupiter, which I mentioned above. I believe this is yet another indicator that you will indeed be caught. I would say this with 100% certainty if the aspect were in an application, but it's seperating, so I'm not quite sure. Perhaps you'll be caught but escape? Perhaps the police will show up, yet see nothing?
