What is an applaing aspect?

Hi Michele,

If the Moon is at 01Leo00 and the Sun is at 02Aqu00, then the Moon is applying an oppostion to the Sun, because it must reach 02Leo00 before the aspect becomes exact.

If the Moon is at 01Leo00 and the Sun is at 29Cap00, then the Moon is seperating fron opposition from the Sun, because the aspect is past exact.

When the quicker planet has more way to go in order to exactly aspect the other, then the aspect is applying.

When the quicker planet has already been exact with the other, and yet is still in aspectual contact, then this is a seperating aspect.
