Hello everyone! My name is Michael or Mike. I don't care what you call me, you can call me May or May8 if you want. I'm a beginner at astrology. I bought a couple of books at a bookstore on it. I was born on May 8 1993. I'm a Taurus and I'm Aquarius Rising. I'm extremely practical, extremely perceptive and I tell it as it is to people. But, I'm rather sensitive to what people say about me.

I guess I should tell you a bit about myself. Well, my parents have been divorced for 5 years after a gruesome divorce. I won't get into details. I know things about it I shouldn't. I'm used to it now, but there is still fighting between my Mom and my Dad. Anyway, I've always had an interest in pseudoscience. I found a palm reading site online. I read my own palm and found it really cool. I also went to a psychic once and found that true also. I was amazed. One day, in a book store, I picked out Tarot cards. My interest only lasted a month though. The stuff wasn't coming true and I found that it was associated with the devil. Then, I became interested in horoscopes. Somedays they'd come true, and some days not. I picked out a "Birthday Meaning" book at the bookstore. All of it was true about everyone I did. Then I wanted to find out more about people and myself. So I picked out 2 astrology books (one of them being an encyclopedia on it) at the bookstore. And here I am, still reading and studying, I'm hoping I'll start my first birth chart today. But maybe not 'cause I have homework, I am 13, after all.

Its all good Capricorn or Aquarius Rising (My Ascendant) LOL, both carry the Saturnine characteristics. Aquarius' old ruler Saturn is more relevant to Aquarius Rising than Uranus the newest Aquarius Co-Ruler. Makes the native more grounded and less rebellious. Though we are more detached than the Aquarius Sun native, we still have a subtle degree of the general friendliness that the Aquarius Sun native has. So here I am welcoming you in so I am not too "Reserved" LOL. Hope you enjoy the Forum its a "dandy" place to learn about Astrology and see it at work in other's input that is for certain. It would be practical for you to be sensitive to what others say to you. Capricorn Ascendants are like that. Much moreso than a Cappy Sun. A Capricorn Ascendant native usually puts out considerable energy to appear "stable" and/or "secure" even if they have some inner doubts about such aspects. My father was one, and he was kind of like that with an Aries Sun to throw into the mix LOL. Again welcome to the Forum.

I bought my first Tarot at thirteen. I was frustrated though, because I couldn't really make much sense of them, and the interpretions by the book, never made much sense in a personal context. I ended up throwing them away eventually, but I'll always regret that now. About a year later, my interest resurged, I bought new sets and I began to ignore the books, and go my own way with it. I came to develop my own unique methods of reading, shuffling and spreading, and for a time, it was my job to read for people.

I'm not sure about Tarot being associated with the Devil though, I think it's beyond good and evil, they're just tools, the good or evil intent resides in the person that utilises them.

By the way, if you decide that you'll come here regularly, you can forward your birth data to Arien Maverick, who can upload your chart in the relevant thread. This is to save having to repeatedly post your data when asking questions, and other members can just go and find your chart.

No more diabolical than astrology, though perhaps that's not the best example depending on how you think. :D Most people who associate the tarot with evil generally feel the same way about psychism, palmistry, astrology, witchcraft, and other possible divinitory mediums.
