Hi everyone!
I was away from the forum for a long time due to an eclipse on my Sun sign and a Saturn return. Everything has changed in my life but not the desire for learning astrology. Now there is a question in my mind recently and I wanted to share with you. What is the signifacator of a game cd? It strengly got lost after we got together with friends at home and we searched everywhere but no clue on that!! It was just dissappeared and I am embaressed to get suspicious of our friends. But I can't find any other explanation. Is it lost or stolen?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I asked the question on 11 December at 2.48 pm Ankara, Turkey. 32E52 39N56

Hello Elansome,

the cd - as any other moveable thing - is signified by the cusp of the second house.

This is the first time I do a lost object horary. Therefore
my delineation follows Griffin's treatise on theft very closely,
too closely perhaps.

The indicators of theft seem to be quite strong.

The dispositor of the Moon separates from Jupiter, so the
CD is not in its own place. That the object has been stolen
is indicated by the separation between the dispositor of the
Moon (Mercury) and Jupiter.

In horaries about theft, an angular peregrine planet signifies
the thief. Here, Mars is both angular and peregrine.

As the significator of the thief is square the Moon, the CD
has been stolen. Also, both the part of fortune and its dispositor
are unfortunate. The part of fortune is angular, but conjunct Neptune,
a modern malefic.
The lord of the part of fortune is Saturn, which is not only in detriment,
but retrograde too.

Let's see who the thief should be. According to Griffin:

"If Mars be significator in the place of Jupiter, the
thief shall be of yellowish complexion drawing to redness,
a round face, a long and sharp chin, his brows bent like a bow
or horn of the Moon, whose end doth reach to his nose, a thin
beard, light and swift of going about his own matters, one of
a sharp wit and very bold, and confident"

In this case Mars is in the domicile, triplicity and terms of Jupiter.

Perhaps the thief could be somebody that live quite near you.

(If the Sun and the Moon are both in their triplicity, the thief is
a neighbour. Here, the Sun is in its day triplicity, while the Moon
is in its night triplicity.)

He could be one one of your relatives
(The lord of the Ascendant in the house or exaltation of the significator
of the thief: kins. Here the lord of the AC is Venus, and Venus is in
Capricorn, the exaltation of Mars)

Could it be a cousin?

("The Sun and the Moon both in their faces, the thief doth call
the Querent Cousin. Here there is reception by faces between the Sun and the Moon")

Let me know if these indications make sense, and I'll go on with the reading of this chart.

Thank you very much Blumen. I think your comments are quite correct. The cd got lost when our boardgame friends leaving us. They are mostly my boyfriend's workmates. But the suspect is quite similar to the Griffin's description.
'If Mars be significator in the place of Jupiter, the
thief shall be of yellowish complexion drawing to redness,
a round face, a long and sharp chin, his brows bent like a bow
or horn of the Moon, whose end doth reach to his nose, a thin
beard, light and swift of going about his own matters, one of
a sharp wit and very bold, and confident."

It is hard to believe that someone would do that. It might be a cleptomaniac problem. My boyfriend would never believe it but we looked up everywhere at house and it is not around.

I will let you know the developments.
Cheers
Elan

When inquiring of a horary, it's best not to have an 'or' option in the question, as this is to effectively be asking two questions at the same time, and if you were to reach a positive conclusion for both possibilities, this can be very confusing.

Had the question been simply, 'is the object misplaced?', then if the chart suggests yes, then there you go, but if it suggests no, then it may be stolen.

I am suspecting that you felt that it is more likely that the CD is lost?

Thanks Draco
I will keep your advise in mind. I actually meant what has happened to the cd and wished that the chart would show what might be happened. I thought the indications of a stolen object would be different than the missing one. My intitution is that it has been stolen. I don't know why I thought this way though. But I did not left anywhere unlooked for this cd. It is a mistery.
Thank you anyway for your comments.

Hi Elansome...would like to have a stab at this so please do not post answer just yet.
But can you confirm Asc for me.....I make it 23 Taurus...is that same? (Your on-line chart has expired)

I think I remember glancing at this chart, I thought it was in your boyfriends car, mistaken for a music cd

No! It was a cd and got lost at home but we have found it later. The chart is a good sample that something is not stolen.

Hi Elansome....I'm sure the CD is connected to your boyfriend. You didn't say whether you lived together....
You are ruled by Venus, (in critical 00degree/cardinal sign)
Cd ruled by Mercury in 7th of partners,
Your boyfriend ruled by Mars (traditionally)
It is said that if object be in an angular house then it is somewhere in the home.
Would it have been amongst his things or was it him that found it?
Another view Uranus rules recordings etc., and is placed in his 6th...maybe place in the house where he works?
Mercury (CD) is applying to parallel of declination to Mars (boyfriend)
Apparently a parallel works a bit like a conjunction...another pointer to boyfriend.

What I can't make out is the Mars/Jupiter conjunction....it must mean something.

Oh! please Elansome put me out of my misery...where was it?

Also should add...being in a fire sign should be somewhere warm/hot and at mid-level according to Anthony Louis, and directions East by South.

Hi Ruby
You were quiet right. As I mentioned before I live with my boyfriend. The cd was his and he found it behind the other cds on the shelve in the living room. Not sure about the direction though.
Thanks for your input. You were very good:)
