compatibility: A vs B

A: you had a compatible sign with but incompatible element
or
B: you had a compatible element with but incompatible sign

for me personally, i feel it's worse when the elements are incompatible

And, from my studies and experiences regarding this question, I fully agree: worse when the elements are dissonant...

I just went through my fb. I found a lot of great couples who had incompatible signs that worked thanks to their compatible elements.
However I didn’t find ONE couple that had incompatible element but compatible sign.
Is this sec senario really THAT much harder

can't you think of any couples that fit the sec catagory, do they work?

meaning i can def see how elements would be strong enough to over come incompatible signs.
but are they just as strong at tearing them apart (if incompatible)

i just noticed,
you know the trine groups
for example rabbit, pig, and sheep.
they're never compatible elements, unless you go for a really really big age gap.

ie. from the point of view of a rabbit

Jan 31, 1995 to Feb 18, 1996 Wood Boar
Feb 16, 1999 to Feb 4, 2000 Earth Rabbit
Feb 1, 2003 to Jan 21, 2004 Water Sheep

*these are the closes dates of rabbit's trines*..
you have to go close to 10 years to get to a compatible one...and say if you were trying to pair a female rabbit to a male boar.
you'd have to go to about 20 years, regardless of element/year/etc

EDIT: also the yin yang prinicple. some signs are always yin while others yang. so even if you were to go for someone older, now you have the problem of yin and yang not matching up properly.

does this mean that in theory your trines are most compatible with you, but in practice, not so much (at least on paper)

However the elements dont match, but dragon rules earth doesn't it? and jupiter?

In our western charts we are both 85% earth signs and I have an earth jupiter conjuncting his earth sun. Does this up the earth connection between us? Dont know how my wood fits in anywhere though.
But for research purposes we are highly compatible, we spend vast amounts of time together happily and rarely fall out. (lived together for 15 months and thinking about getting married)

am I just waffling and mixing things that dont match? haha
