rainbows,

Go to www.astro.com, click on "chart drawing, ascendant", create your chart, click on "free horoscopes", click on "extended chart selection", and fill in the information to create a progressed chart.

Or you could guesstimate your progressed Ascendant. First calculate your progressed Sun using the "year for a day" method. For example, if you are 28 years old, your progressed Sun is about 28 degrees farther along than your birth Sun, so if your birth Sun was 0 degrees Leo (for example), your progressed Sun would be 28 degrees Leo. The progressed Ascendant progresses at a slower rate than the Sun, so it will be quite a few degrees less than 28 degrees, but looking at the progressed Sun gives you a very rough idea of where the progressed Ascendant is.

Guesstimating,

Tim

Hi Wilsontc! I get the impression that you can get into astro.com and do your chart just like that, without paying anything. I started a year ago with astro.com and I have to pay every year about 60 Sfr. to be able to use those extended chart selections etc. If you tell 2rainbows just to go to astro.com to do her chart there, that indicates she can do it regardless of paying anything right? If so, let me know so I can call them (in Zürich) and ask them about it. thanks! (I need a password to get in as well, every time I lock in on a different computer).

Hey Starlink,

You don't have to pay a penny (in the UK, anyway) with astro.com.

Go to...

www.astro.com (http://www.astro.com) and click on Free Charts (3rd option down on the left). This should give you access to zillions of free charts (including synastry, progressed and the like). All you have to do is tell it the details and it will give you the chart, just like that.

:D

Thanks Indigo. I was thinking, maybe they have me pay because I have an "my astro" account with them where I have a databank with all my charts in it. I still cannot decide which (new) program to buy (used "Winstar "from the USA for years but PC crashed and I could not find the installation CD anymore and buying new costs you the earth) so in the meantime I do this. i've used astro freely for years. just that i have the habit of looking at pieces of my chart and not all of it, so i suddenly found out yesterday that my asc progressed even though i all ready new my sun progressed. i have no idea how long it takes the asc to progress.

Or, you may like to try a quick and easy method of solar arcs...

Solar Arcs
Solar arcs are really simple, especially for beginners, just move the Angles, Asc, Desc, MC, IC 1' for each year of your life onto planets and vice versa. Not just used for rectification either. Under age 12 though these interpretations are directed towards family changes, maybe relocation, job changes, illnesses, additions to family etc. Another example is my Pluto is 28' Leo in 7th house and my Uranus is 3' Leo in same house to subtract these and you get age 25. That year my then husband and I had an almight explosion (Uranus) and transformation (Pluto) of that marriage that started the demise and ultimate ending thereof....

Further research on solar arcs try these threads.
