chart reading with a spiritual bent

Hi!

I'm quite new to astrology but very fascinated. I had my natal chart done last year, BUT I just found out I had the incorrect birth time! Not sure how much difference it will make...

So I have a *new* chart now.

I'm very interested in spiritual aspects of the chart AND life purpose (the astrologer said my purpose was to be a spiritual teacher or counsellor) so any insight would be great.

I'd also like to know about the shapes in my chart - they look like triangles but i'm sure there is a technical word for that!? :unsure:

Currently read Planetwaves.net and would be interested to know of any other astrology blogs in a similar vein.

Saturn (restriction) is in your 2nd house (of money) so it is not likely that you would become very wealthy from this, but your chart is definitely peaceful, with strong spiritual/religious favor.

Your north node in the 9th shows that your purpose will be along the lines of; teaching, spiritual mentoring, philosopher, overseas careers or work, or dealings with foreigners....

Your north node is also in Gemini; which is all about Communication. So add these up and you'd most likely be drawn to writing, speaking, talking with, or giving lectures, etc about religion, philosophy... and/or teaching, lecturing at a college, teaching languages to foreigners (second language teacher), etc...

Your mercury (which rules gemini) is Sextiling Venus = you convey love through your words.

Its also sextiling Pluto = you can speak on very deep issues (like death/religion/etc) in a way that is pleasant, helps others understand, and not feel so scared afterall!

And its conjuncting Neptune = you have the ability to enchant others when you speak. Really entrancing communicator!

I also see that you dont have ANY stressful (square/oppositions) to your major planets... which is very rare!!! You have a very peaceful and nice chart indeed, and you could definitely excel with this!!

I have always been very peaceful, even as a baby I rarely cried, I was just smiling all the time.

Not a problem making money from spiritual pursuit as I am quite happy just to share my love/knowledge freely (if it helps people along).

It will be interesting to see how this pans out because I am also very shy, so teaching is a small surprise - but not impossible.

You might never be a multi-millionaire and should not play the stocks and be careful of gambling but the fact the second house desposits into a dignified rising venus helps a bit and makes it so saturn there isn't totally defeating. A strong spritual bent this chart has indeed.

Iaxee, you missed the fact mars is rising and square to the mc, they can be quit assertive (if they need to be) and go getting. Jupiter in sextile to mars helps to counter balance its more aggressive tendencies. Venus in the 1st helps to add to charm and grace.
Overall she's right your fairly easy going but the mars rising and in square to the mc gives you some amount of relative drive.

It does make sense your somewhat shy, the sun isn't dignified or angular, you have mars rising (which, helps) but its in libra and libra is a sign who often wants to be charming and unoffensive (although there is another side which, is obnoxiously argumentative but even they often don't like over blown confrontations) mars in libra is determint because its often too afraid of asserting itself because its stuck between decisions and waits to long to act.

May I suggest you read the 'welcome to the world of astrology’ and other ---sticky' at the top of this forum? It has some great explanations, links etc. At the top of every forum there are lots of ‘stickys’ which explain matters in that forum, along with guidelines & tips

There is a 'plethora' of information on AW, espec in the 'stickys' at the top of every forum, our Education forum and Recommendations forum to. Plus we have a good search feature,[but not foolproof obviously, so try here first] bit like google using keywords – initially select advanced and try just selecting 'titles' rather than posts or you'll get too many threads. To interpret what an unaspected planet could natally signify, it may be first important to ask why aspects are relevant to begin with. In my opinion, aspects enable any planet under consideration to further undergo experience in consciousness thru involvement with other planets. Aspects stimulate a planet to test out its potential, and thereby develop its innate capacity to express itself thru a diversity of experiences. Aspects allow planets to combine forces together in manner that introduces new dimensions for both planets involved. Therefore if any planet is unaspected, it is less psychologically driven to branch out into a fuller range of activity normally driven to branch out into a fuller range of activity normally typical of aspected planets.

Lack of confidence in ability to communicate - yes! (my head is so full of information my trouble is bringing it into a coherent package to re-disstribute!)
