I know a few things about astrology and with pregnancy mostly look for Mars conjunct Moon which I see when I ask the horary on my ZET9...
Am I pregnant???

well I havent heard that before in a horay chart (mars and moon) cause it depends on whats going on with the rulers of the asc and 5th

look for fertile signs on the asc and 5th and moon and their rulers

so here you have asc libra (semi fertile) ruler venus in taurus (fertile) in the 8th
5th is aqu (semi fertile) ruler saturn in your asc (that is what you need but it should have passed a aspect to venus, and its inconjunct so there is will to want to be pg but its not happening.

most people dont answer when saturn is on the asc as they see it as a stricture not to be read but Its your 5th ruler so i think it does matter.

just a note here, your partners 5th ruled bby the sun... get him to cool his swimmers down a bit, the ruler sun will meet with saturn soon?
this is a bit unorthodox of me but just a thought.

Didi-I always thought that we look at the first baby in 5th, second (in my case) as 7th, third in 9th... So shouldn't we be looking at 7th in this case?
Just my thoughts--I came across this sooo many times, online and in books.

umm you may be confusing natal or progressed and solar charts with horay?
horay is not really looked at like the others.

you look for fertile planets
and their rulers
and you want to see the 5th ruler in the asc and the moon in a past aspect to it.

the ruler of the asc can be in a few different houses and thats ok.
but no you dont look to the 7th for the second child.

its allways the 5th

OH---yes, I was looking at it as a natal chart! Completely slipped my mind that it's HORARY, not NATAL. Silly me!

Didi-I know it's not good to be looking at horary every day, but I'm so not the calm type that I needed to take a peek today (right now actually) but if you say that (correct me if I'm wrong) that it doesn't look like I am from yesterday's chart, then I'll just ignore the positive things I saw today. :crying:

(Following is not in accordance with standard horary delineation and uses whole sign house format)

First, and most important, regardless of the horary indication I hope you are pregnant and that you will have a healthy baby.

I'll test the al-Sadwali method in this question:

-ruler of 1st house = Venus; Venus in Taurus = fertile
-ruler of 5th whole sign house = Saturn; Saturn in Libra = not fertile
-Moon posited in Taurus = fertile
1st whole sign house = Libra = not fertile
5th house = Aquarius = not fertile
8th house = Taurus = fertile
11th house = Leo = not fertile
1st trigonal day lord of the sign on the 5th house (Aqaurius) = Saturn; Saturn posited in Libra = not fertile
Part of Conception falls @ 12 Virgo = not fertile

Results:
Fertile = 3 indications
Not fertile = 6 indications

Net = +3 not fertile indications; based on this the al-Sadwali indications are that you are currently not pregnant; now, lets hope old al-Sadwali is wrong!

Dr.Farr...well I've seen quite a few posts you've made and (to my knowledge) you haven't been wrong

I will definitely keep you posted. We've been trying for such a long time now and have 1 healthy daughter that it seems so inexplicably wrong why we aren't getting any positive results.

Could be profection, progression or transit influences...don't get discouraged!

That would have to be determined by looking at the progressions or profections or transits of you and your husband's natal charts, to see if in fact a problem is there, and then if one is there, estimating when that influence (or influences) would pass.

Im sure you have heard people say it will happen when it happens and when your trying to concieve... every day is a life time of waiting, I know Ive had 3 children myself
first one easy
second took a loss and then 3 years
third easy too

but there were no medical problems with us just bad timing i guess

you can get a test to see if your ovualting (thats one step) you couldnt 21 days from the 1st day of your pd (a doc will do the blood test) then go from there, easy as it as 6 months in not that long in medical terms

also with horay just read the other pg horays here it will give you a clue as to how to read them. also whatch when you ask and what you ask because your not pg till the egg has been fertilised so it takes i forget how many days to reach the eggs so the timeing of the question is valuable.

What is the logic in looking for that? You should be looking at something like Moon/Jupiter.

Generally Moon/Mars is "death" whether such death is physical or symbolic because that contact represents change or things that come to an end.

When doing Primary Directions, I can't tell you how many times Moon/Mars indicates physical death and it doesn't matter if Moon is Hyleg or not. Moon to the body of Mars, Mars to the body of Moon, Moon/Mars parallel, Moon/Mars rapt, and if Moon is Hyleg, then Moon trine Mars, Moon square Mars etc. In fact, I just did Directions for Virgil Grissom who died in the Apollo 7 Command Module with Roger Chafee and calculated a Moon/Mars rapt on the Descendant to January 30, 1967 (he died January 27 -- my math is a little sloppy).

It's normal to have several Moon/Mars contacts through Primary Directions during the course of your life, so you have to pay attention to what Mars rules in the Natal Chart (ie Mars as Almuten of Employment, Almuten of Marriage, Almuten of the Midheaven etc) because those will often indicate career change, job termination, marriage, divorce etc and the Profectional and Solar Return Charts will support that.

In terms of Electional Astrology, you want Jupiter in the 10th House and Moon trine Sun or Ascendant Ruler or Moon conjunct Ascendant Ruler but if the Ascendant Ruler is Mars there has to be Reception, the stronger the better, preferably Moon receiving Mars, and keep them out of the 6th, 8th and 12th Houses.

Don't get discouraged! Keep trying! Maybe by "supporting" your Jupiter and Venus influences, chances will improve: see my thread about this which is a sticky in the Medical Astrology section.

Although the lord of the fifth (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/74/Saturn_symbol.svg/20px-Saturn_symbol.svg) is in the first house, which is a positive indication, the signs on the fifth and seventh houses are both barren signs (viz. http://astrocleansology.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/aquarius-symbol.png and http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj205/Sakura-chan002/Aqua-chan002/Miriku-chan002/aris.gif).

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/26/Jupiter_symbol.svg/20px-Jupiter_symbol.svg in the seventh house is also a positive testimony, though, as said, in a barren sign.

I would say you are not pregnant, sorry; though it would be nice if I were wrong :tongue:
