Is it possible to use astrology to predict the type of music that will be successful in the future? I think this is very interesting and possible but have not seen much written about it.

For acouple months I've been watching the transit of Neptune and how it has affected the Billboard top 100 charts, and noticed that when Neptune left Aquarius and entered Pisces, pop music became less Auto-tune, dance beat, and robotic sounding (Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga) and more soulful, fantasy filled, and humorous (Adele, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars). Has anyone else noticed this?

This may temporarily reverse with Neptune's retrograde though.

Anyway, I'd love to hear some opinions on this from more knowledgable astrologers. I am a musician and artist (with Venus in Cancer) so I'd love to be able to know what energies people will respond to more than others in the future. :innocent:

I think Katy & Bruno Mars are still very auto tuned. They use pitch correcting software called Melodyne. Simply just vocal effects, I don't see what all the autotune fuss is about. People have been using effects for years. Is it cheap when a guitarist uses FX pedals through his amp? No.

I'd love to learn prediction methods on this subject.. There's probably more to it then just Neptune.

Yeah, I agree I think it is perfectly fine to use effects. All that matters is if people like it in the end in my opinion. I was just saying from an aesthetic point of view, the feel of music is kind of getting more "real" and melodic as opposed to techno-y lately, Celo Green is a really good example, even if in all actuality the "real" sounding music is completely fabricated with effects like Melodyne haha

Yeah! I'm really interested in this, and what planets rule what in pop culture in general. I figured Neptune and it's aspects were the entertainment industry so that's why I chose that.
