The horoscope of 21 december 2012

Does the world really end if the Mayan-calendar expires? If I look at the horoscope of that feared day, 21 December 2012,I don’t get merry. If planets are in each other's sign, then they reinforce each other. An example. Saturn belongs to Capricorn and Pluto to Scorpio. If Pluto is in Capricorn and at the same time Saturn in Scorpio, then they are like in each other's energy and reinforcing each other. And such a mutual reception takes place on 21 December 2012. Both planets are not quite sweeties, therefore we do not look forward to that. And even in earlier days when Pluto had not been discovered at that time, astrologers could have predicted this score. Because in former days Mars ruled Scorpio, but this pithy boy will be in December 2012 in Capricorn and makes therefore a reception with Saturn. If you thereby see that Mars rules Uranus in Aries, he certainly will put a flashing speed behind a new beginning! And Neptune in Pisces will feel at home in the arisen chaos. All in all therefore a vehement horoscope ,which also has a so-called yod,a direction of God,pointing right to that Saturn in Scorpio, in which ,if it has not been enough, the Dragonhead is also situated... Is recue still possible? Possibly it can be found in a second yod in the horoscope of that day, pointing to Jupiter in Gemini,a litterally pronounced faith.Faith in the confrontation and transformation which is inevitable on the path of humanity on this earth.

There's a lot of great info about this and more at Carl Calleman's site if interested.

Hi Johan and Lapis. One thing I find troubling about Calleman's work is his insistance that the Mayan end date is in October 2011 as opposed to the 12/21/12 date most other profess. If we are going to look for astrological validation of one date or the other then we should probably look at them both but Calleman provides no time and is insistent upon discounting astrology's role in any of the Mayan calendar work. OK, he does acknowledge Venus playing a role as it's cycle is tied to the Mayan calendar and it's second (twin) retrograde period occurs in mid 2012.

So what's the deal about this date and what can astrology tell us? Johan is correct in that Saturn and Pluto are in mutual reception - cardinal Pluto in Cap and fixed Saturn in Scorpio. Additionaly, Mars is in Capricorn which could also be seen as part of the mutual reception since it co-rules Scorpio. There is also another mutual reception of mutable Mercury in Sag and mutable Jupiter in Gem. You have the "smaller mind" sharing energies with the "larger mind" while active pluto/mars pounds/shares energies with stubborn Saturn. This intuitively sounds like a mental framework meltdown to me.

Along with this an interesting square occurs between Neptune in it's own sign of Pisces and Alcyone, the central sun of the Plaidian system. Alcyone sits directly on the Descendant where I live at 11:11am GMT which is when the sun enters Capricorn. Alcyone has been referred to as Scion or Zion or All See One or the Great Central Sun of our universe. With it's position at 0 Gemini squaring Neptune at 0 Pisces, I think it might be safe to say that there is a reckoning of some sort with the concept of duality and polarity as the mutable receptions and squares turn the worldview upside down so to speak.

My take would be that there will be a need to move from the extremes to the center. From duality to unity consciousness. The Sun also conjuncts with Juno that day so maybe this portends seeing the other as one's self.

Not sure how much of this is wishful thinking, but I do think astrology has markers for whatever happens.

Hi Kite. I've wondered about these 2 different dates also but get the sense that its sort of like an orb of influence more than cosmic ballons and confetti falling from the ceiling. More like the first date/event has to happen which helps set up energies/consciousness and so on for the 2012 date/event. Just a hunch however.

I hear what you're saying Lapis. Interesting that there is a 420 day difference between the two dates which numerically reduces to a 6 as does Calleman's date of 10/28/2011. 12/21/2012 reduces to 11 with the time of 11:11 am given as Caps beginning.

Maybe some harmonics could be in play here...
