Hi There!
Which House would you use to signify an attorney representing you?

I have not been able to find out so far if there is a house or planet specifically representing the Querent's attorney. Perhaps there isn't one. But I need to check on this further.
However, these indications were given by William Lilly.
The planets in houses 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3 are friends of the Querent. The planets, not houses.
The planets in houses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are friends of the Adversary or Opponent.
The Judge is the 10th Lord, not 10th house.
The End Of The Matter is the 4th Lord.
Generally, if the Querent's planets are stronger than the Adversary's, then the Querent shall win.
The Judge's planet will indicate which side he may favour or judge against.
This is just my own feeling, and should not be taken as a rule but should be tested out. For Attorneys, look at planets Mercury and Jupiter, and houses 2nd and 3rd from Querent or Adversary.

The 9th house signifies an attorney.

Again, my "curve-ball" thoughts. But an attorney is someone you've given the power to speak for you, and is standing in your place, in your stead. Someone else acting as your power is a Scorpio thing. So is mutual trust and client secrecy, I would think. Also, possibly Libra as he/she should be doing for you what he would want done for himself, on a partnership basis.
Of course, if you're referring to horary, I have no idea... it seems to have different rules.

I would choose the ninth house.
According to Lehman (256) lawyers are signified by the ninth house. Lehman gives the following indicatiosn (37-38):
1. Any person that you appoint to act as your legal agent is signified by the ninth house.
2. A solicitor is signified by the ninth house
3. A barrister is singiified by the third house.

While Lawyers are the ninth house in general, as are any learned persons, or persons that have a specialised field of knowledge, in the case of your particular lawyer who is acting on your behalf in a trial or court-case, then they are traditionally represented by your second house, as they are considered to be an asset.
In charts concerning lawsuits and conflicts, the second house also represents your witnesses and your supporters, in war charts, the secind represents a nations allies.
You could look to the ninth, and this may reveal the quality of your attorneys knowledge, but if you are seeking as to how well they will work for you as an asset, an allie, a supporter working on your behalf, a resource, then look to the second.

The 7th can represent Lawyers, counslor to client, the balance scales of justice. Then look to see what planets and 7th lord placement is. The 6th could be people that take a confrontial stance, and the 9th and 10th Judges / Courts (since it the 9th represents higher law or higher knowledge).
