I have the Moon in House 7/Virgo, and Mars and Jupiter in House 4/Taurus. I think I heard a song or something about the Moon in House 7 and Mars and Taurus in House 4, but I'm not sure. Anyone know anything?

I think your referring to a sixties musical 'The Age of Aquarius'.

''When the moon is in the 7th house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars.............''

So... I have the Moon in House 7, and Jupiter does align with Mars. What does it mean exactly, and why would it be lyrics to a song?

Ha ha,

I have absolutely no idea! I often wondered what its supposed to mean, but I just think they chose whatever astrological words happened to rhyme, because it was on an astrological theme. I don't really think that the Moon in the 7th and Jupiter aligning with Mars has anything to do with the age of Aquarius, because the moon will be in the 7th house on numerous occasions every time Jupiter is aligned with Mars.

I only know the first line of the song because it is on a UK television advert, I don't know what the rest of the lyrics are so I don't know. Its way before my time anyway, I wasn't born until '82.

I imagine someone older on the forum might be able to fill you in. I wondered what the other lyrics might be and what they might mean?

Cute question though.

“When the moon is in the Seventh House
and Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars”

Lyrics by James Rado & Gerome Ragni from the musical Hair.

I know it has something to do with the Age of Aquarius, and it just seemed kind of weird that I had Aquarius rising, along with the other lyrics.

Not too big of a deal though.

Hi All!

Forgive me - I'm new to all this.

A bit before my time :o it's from the musical Hair. I think this was the one which caused a storm as everyone was naked on stage!! All I can remember about it is the songs and the enormous afro-style hair. Grim.

Some of the other songs were a bit wierd, too - take a look www.geocities.com/hairpages

Do your placements agree with this, then?

have fun

Hi,

I wondered what 'peace ruling the planets and love ruling the stars' would have to do with Moon in 7th and Jupiter aligning with Mars? I imagine because the Moon in the 7th, seeks understanding and empathy and when Mars the god of war is aspected by Jupiter, god of joy and benevolence, his malefic effect is neutralised. I suppose it is odd you have these in your chart and you are Aquarius rising as well, and the Asc is the place of dawn (....the dawning of......). These things usually mean something, perhaps you ought to look closely at your Moon, Mars and Jupiter.

Hi

I need the experience - so...

If the moon is in the 7th house: Can we put that down to caring for someone other than ourselves? To get to the 11th house (Aquarius) and humanity in general, we have to take one step at a time. So, if we are kind, caring, emotionally supportive to anyone other than us, everbody eventually takes care of everybody. Peace?

But, with the moon in Virgo in 7th, wouldn't that be even more so? With Virgo wanting to clean everything up, harmonising and generally trying to make things better? Unless Virgo has its hyper head on - and the moon's got pms - this place is a mess, clean it up now!! So mars charges ahead, full pelt pushed along by jupiter aka Zues throwing thunderbolts? If the moon's calm, Mars and jup are calm and we have world peace? The Age of Aquarius?

Hope you can understand this (Merc in Aqu!).

If you find the plot, let me know - I think I've lost it!!

Take care

The inspiration behind the lyrics of this song, Aquarias, may have been from a Nostradamus quatrain. It refers to a "new earth." Curiously, if you want to dig enough, this has major Biblical references. The star alignment during Christ's birth, crucifiction and "return" all come into play with the lyric of the song. I'm sure this was unintentional from the songwriters, or even Nostradamus himself. Thank you for bringing this topic up... I have long meant to do some in-depth research on it.
