Happy Halloween Everyone!
I wondered if anyone had any good ghost stories to tell. I have a “good” story I would like to share. I’ll try not to drag it out, I have a bad habit of doing that. The day I moved into my old house, I kept something white out of the corner of my eye, constantly, especially on the landing of the stairs. When my son was 7 months old, I found him crawling around the kitchen at 4 am with the light on. My bedroom was off the kitchen and his was upstairs. I was freaked because I didn’t understand how he could have gotten there. He would have had to crawl out of his crib and down 1 ½ flights of stairs, gone into the kitchen and turned the light on. Definatley not at 7 months! That’s when I knew something was up. My daughter was born a year later, and ever since she could talk, she would tell me all about “James”. Like it was nothing out of the ordinary. She said he was a boy with black hair. Every so often he would do something to let me know he was there, like putting things is odd places, messing with the water meter, etc. One night, she was 3 yrs old, must have been early November, there was just a dusting of snow, and the kids of course had to get right out there, so my husband was doing some work on a car, and had to go to the auto part store which was right across the street, he sent my daughter inside to warm up, but never told me he was leaving! So after she warmed up I sent her back outside, next thing I know my husband came tearing in the door, where is she???? I told him I sent her back out with you…my heart sank to my feet! It was 5 in the afternoon, rush hour traffic, and a very busy road. We followed her little footprints to the road, I was so scared she had been hit by a car, I almost expected it. She wasn’t there, now I’m really panicking, we went into the drug store, and there she was sitting in the middle of the toy aisle playing with the toys. As I was hugging her to death I asked her how she got across that road without being hit by a car, and she said, like it was nothing, James held my hand and we ran, he said to wait her for Daddy. I just about fell over!!!!!
The day we moved, we were in her room packing her toys in a box. I don’t know if you know what Diva Star doll is, its one of those interactive toys. Me, my son, and my daughter were sitting around the box, and as I was putting her in, she turned on and said loud and clear, “I’m so sorry that you’re moving”. My daughter was not surprised and thought the doll didn’t want to move. My son was confused, and I knew it was James. My daughter is almost 12 now, and does not remember her “friend”, and thinks I’m crazy when I tell her the story of the ghost that saved her life.

My goodness!
I really enjoyed reading your story.
My ghost story happened in October 1999 when a close friend of mine, very sadly took his own life. He had no family and left debts so his house and possessions were taken into custody of the police. However,as a close friend, I had a key to the house which the police didnt know about and one night after talking with a group of our mutual friends,5 of us decided to go to the house to reminice and take some small items as keepsakes to remember our dear friend by.
We spent about half hour there mostly sitting in the lounge talking and wondering if any of the neighbours had noticed that we were in the house.
The floor to the room we were in had wooden floor boards.Suddenly, clear as a bell, came a distinct knocking sound from the floor beneath our feet,5 knocks one after the other just as you would knock at a door.We all heard it and decided in unison to leave immediately. We put out all the lights, locked up,and jumped in the car.We were only about 10metres down the street when a police car came past us and pulled up outside the house. We escaped within seconds of being caught inside. We all agreed afterwards that it was our friend who knocked on the floor to warn us about the police and still now when I think back to that night I am convinced it was truly him looking out for us.

Thankyou and God bless you Paul.

I don't have any ghost stories to share unfortunately but I definitely believe in ghosts and so I really enjoyed reading your "stories." Thanks for sharing them with us! Happy Halloween!
