Mythic Insights Into the Mercury Rx Scorpio Cycle..

The Planet Mercury symbolizes the alchemical magic of the mind, how we process information how we percieve reality and how we communicate.

From our inherited myths about Mercury (also known as Hermes) we know that he was the only god able to come and go at will from the underworld, the celestial realm, this world or any of the other worlds. He was not from any one particular place, but able to go to all realms and dimensions easily
as the messenger of the gods.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is a maximum right brained erotic passionate expression of the mind. We live in a left brained consensus reality , so communication may feel more challenging for those whose mental process is based in logic and reason.

Mercury Retro is a notorious timing when left brain rational reality experiences glitches and miscommunication, espiecally when we are attached to things turning out in a certain way. However , if we can relax, roll with the flow and release our attachments to tthe outcome, then this timing carries wonderfully magical and creative energy, inspiring insights, understanding, and wisdom.

ON NOVEMBER 8TH, 2006, MERCURY WILL TRANSIT THE SUN

In the present era, transits of Mercury fall within several days of May 8 and November 10.
Since Mercury's orbit is inclined seven degrees to Earth's, it intersects the ecliptic at two points or nodes which cross over the Sun each year on those dates. If Mercury passes through inferior conjunction at that time, a transit will occur.
During November transits, Mercury is near perihelion, and exhibits a disk only 10-arc seconds in diameter.
November transits occur at intervals of 7, 13, and 33 years, while May transits occur only over the latter two intervals.
The next Mercury transit will be May 9, 2016.

Wonderful info, Pyxis! Thanks so much!

However... does Mercury transit the Sun on Tuesday, November 7th, or Wednesday November 8th? The 8th does not fall on Tuesday this year. (Must be the retrograde. ;))

Also, do you or anyone else have any information on how this pans out astrologically for all of us? This is a new one for me.

Thank you Freedomlover..
Futurist...great article
"this mini eclipse (mercury transit) is very important
because it will occur in parallel declination to Pluto-
who rules the entire scorpio stellium, including Mercury
and makes it symbollically and exceedingly potent.....
The Sun/Merc/Pluto aspects speak of announcements (Mercury) of destruction/rebirth."
