View Full Version : Location & The Solar Revolution

Hello,

I hope this is the correct forum to post this.

I visited a link posted by Astrologer50...it was the website astrotheme.com, where I decided to calculate the solar revolution date and time (as it can change due to place and the 365 1/2 day year). The website had written something which I had seen before, elsewhere - that is, that some astrologers do not hesitate to travel to other places in order to pick up a "more auspicious Ascendant or Midheaven" on the day of their birth.

Now, there are plenty of links out there to interpret solar return charts and the like. But how does one learn *what* is an "auspicious" ASC and MC? What is this based off of? Are we looking for what aspect the transiting ASC and MC make to one's natal positions? And, I assume (like other things) there are tradeoffs, no? Perhaps one of the two may be auspicious while the other may not be. And how does one weigh the two?

This is an interesting thing to learn. I wouldn't mind learning what location sets a good tempo in my life for the year to come.

Regards.
