On December 21 2010 in Beloit, Wisconsin (42'30 N 89'01 W) at 4:33 AM (dark) Central Standard Time - My little sister had a baby girl at 31 weeks gestation by emergency C- Section.
(She had a placental abruption and they were bleeding to death)

She was actually born dead and was revived. She is named after me . Rowan JaciLynn.

I posted here before about my mothers chart and the fact that she is Aquarius with a Sun/Uranus opposition. I found that I actually have a Sun/Uranus square and there are quite a few "mother issues".

In doing Rowans chart I found that she too has the Sun/Uranus square. Also she was born on the Winter Solstice and there was also A total lunar eclipse that began at 1:40 AM cst(coinciding exactly with the time my sister began labor) and completely ending at 5:06 AM cst (not very long after she was born) The doctor told us that if it would have taken us 10 minutes longer to get there they would have both bled to death. Does the Moon have anything to do with blood loss??

To me this has to have a big impact on the natal chart. I would love to hear any opinions on her chart as well as the impact of that eclipse on her. Or even if the little brush with death she experienced is noticed there.

As an end note - She is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care but she is a little fighter and is already doing much breathing on her own. Even though she lost so much blood her blood pressure is already stable. She will be in the Nicu most likely for the next 2 months but it looks like she will be ok. Right now she is holding my whole heart in her tiny little hand - I'll take this opportunity to solicit any thoughts or prayers I can get to help in her recovery.

I wanted to say I am glad your sister and niece are alive. Will send them positive energy towards a complete recovery.

She is a sag sun, scorpio rising, cancer moon.
Pluto conjunct north node, mars, sun, and mercury all in the 2nd house.
Her part of fortune is in the 6th house conjunct descendant. Good placement to help pull her through.

I have seen scorpio rising with strong pluto placement and heavy aspects in the chart of someon who almost died shortly after birth.
Of course that is not true for everyone with those placements.

Thank goodness they are ok.

I have heard that a full moon is not a good time for elective surgery.

but this wasnt 'planned'

I hope they both continue to thrive.

to be bornon a lunar eclipse is pretty signaficant though.

Thank you for the well wishes. She is currently doing great. Sorry it's taken so long to get back on here and see but well - I've been at the hospital lol.

The nurses keep saying that she is doing terrific considering the circumstances. Right now the biggest reason she can't come home is because developmentally babies can't suck/swallow/breath all at once until about 34 weeks gestation.

My sister has completely recovered from the blood loss.

I did read online after posting this that the full moon is strongly associated with blood loss. So that did answer one question -

to be bornon a lunar eclipse is pretty signaficant though.

In what way is it considered significant?

bumpity bump

I have searched all over the web and I find articles on this that don't really tell much. All I find is that it is significant. I would really like to know "how so"...

as always - any input is very much appreciated.

(where is the ever informative Waybread - LOL)

Velocity, I don't have anything to add astrologically, but wanted to say that I went through the same frightening experience your sister did, by having a premature baby. My son who is now 13 years old, was born premature at 32 weeks. He was a strong premmie who breathed on his own from the word go (Double Saggitarian, Aquarius Asc with Jupiter in first house conjunct Asc and sextiling Moon).

All the best to them both and I hope you find the answers you're searching for. :)

Still hoping to find out how the eclipse is significant.
