BahHhHhHhh!!! :p I got offered this job, one that I assumed that there was no chance I would get this time round, it's so competetive, it's the job that I want MOST in all of AUSTRALIA (within reason...) and they have chosen me!

This feels lovely. Apparently I am more capable than I even imagined (or at least I interview very well and look good on paper!!). Can you believe it? I have absolutely surprised myself.

So, if you're interested, I'll tell you a little about this job. It's with the Australian Government's overseas aid agency, which is responsible for funding and managing development work, such as poverty relief and health programs, overseas. They received 1000 applications this year for graduate employment, and selected 20. I am one of those 20 :D

What spins me out even more is that the average age of recruits for the graduate program is 28. That's four years older than me, on average; four years more education/experience. Often the people selected speak several languages (I don't) and have a postgraduate degree (I'm only half way through one). So, I am looking forward to asking the selection panel what so distinguished me!

Anyway, I just had to post about how validated I feel right now. Go Capricorn South node/PoF, achievement! Hah that feels good....

Haven't looked too closely, but Mercury was just separating from conjunction with my natal Jupiter (4H) on the day I found out. Still within one degree, so I consider transiting Merc conjunct natal Jupiter to be the herald of good news :)
